20 years ko na pa lang Idol si Erik Santos ❤
I can relate to him ganyan din yong pakiramdam ko noong may sakit na cancer asawa ko. Tapos noong unti unti na syang nanghihina nakikita ko parang wala ng pag asa unless God will give him a miracle. Yong di mo alam ang idadasal mo talaga kung dagdagan mo ng buhay or kunin mo nalang pra di na mag suffer. It was the most painful prayers for me for my late husband.
Yes Ms Karen. We loss our beloved Tatay just last March 14. It was very lonely and painful. But we are Catholic. CHRISTIAN. And death will lead to Eternal Life. And Eternal Life is Christ. Eternal Life is our faith. So I will never question God. Besides I know Tatay is the most happy and at peace in His kingdom.
At least you were able to have your father experience travelling where he wanted to go xx God bless you

15 years old pa lang anak kong lalaki ng magkacancer-cancer of the bones. At noong bedridden na siya galing ng hospital at malapit ng mamatay, pinabili nya ako ng CD ni Erik Santos ng kanta niyang "This is the moment" dahil parang kapapanalo lang ni Erik sa singing contest dahil 2005 noong mamatay anak ko na 2nd year high school at iyon palagi pinapanood niya kaya hanggang ngayon kapag naririnig ko kanta ni Erik tumutulo na lang luha ko😢

it’s a sign from above that Erik has already done his part for his parents and it’s time to live for himself naman this time. he did so good, and for that he will be rewarded. Maikli lang talaga ang buhay, kaya sana makahanap na rin si Erik ng magaalaga sakanya like what he always does foor others because he deserves it ❤
I felt that when Erik said "Pag nakikita mo s'yang nahihirapan, dalawa yung dasal mo. Or hindi mo alam kung ano yung dadasalin mo. Kung dugtungan ba. Yung buhay n'ya pero ganito yung kalagayan n'ya or kunin na s'ya ng panginoon para hindi naxa mahirapan."
My mom was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and passed away at 68 (years old). Pinagkaiba lang namin ni Erik was I never had the chance to truly spoil my mom. I envy him because nagawa nya yun for her mom. Unlike me, I am still living with regrets and what ifs.
I can really relate to Erik. nakakamiss magkaroon ng parents. So guys love your parents while they are still there.

Kaya ako, dahil nanay ko nalang ang natitira kong magulang, lahat ng gusto nya, kahit minsan , sakto nalang ang budget naming mag-asawa , ibibili ko parin sya kung anong mahiligan nya (may maayos na trabaho naman ako kaya hindi ako masusumbatan ng asawa ko kahit magbigay ako sa nanay ko 😅) .. Ako lang ang inaasahan ng nanay ko , kasi pabigat lang sa kanya yung kapatid ko at yung asawa nun ..

Kapaag talaga naging mabuti, responsable at mapagmahal kang magulang siguradong kusang susuklian ka ng iyong anak ng pagmamahal kahit hindi mo hingiin o pilitin.
Naiyak ako. I can't imagine losing both my parents. Ang sakit isipin.
Almost5 years na since nwala ang parents ko.. Sabi nla Time Heals The Wound peru habang tumatagal lalong hndi ko mtanggap na wala na sila.. Kaya tama si Erik, habang buhay pa parents nyu ibigay nyu lahat ng pgmamahal.❤
Marami kaming nagmamahal sa iyo Erik. So sad ang nangyari sa iyo . Napala buti mong anak I una mo ang mga magulang mo Kaya đi ka rin pababayaan ni Lord. Mahal ng panginoon ang lahat ng nagmamahal sa kanila ng mga magulang. Kaya patuloy kang bibiyayan ng Diyos at lalo ka pang magiging successful sa singing career mo.
I feel you Erik. I also lost my mother just six months ago. Sobrang hirap paglabanan ang lungkot and emptiness. My biggest regret is that I wasn't able to spend time with my parents when they were still alive. Now an orphan, life is too difficult 😢

The pain remains we just got used to it, we lost our parents 4 yrs ago, our mom passed away on her bday sep.29,2019, on her funeral day October 6, Our Dad passed away. God has a purpose on every thing that happened, we just need to trust Him. But still missing my Nanay at Tatay 😢❤
"I was torn"- this hits hard. I felt exactly the same way a day before my dad died last February. I was torn on what to pray. If dugtungan ang life nya or wag na lang so he can rest. For the first time in a long time, I ask God to give my father the rest he needed but I literally just meant sleep coz he wasn't able to sleep for a week before he left. Ang sakit. Same case pa ng parents ni Erik. Watching this reminded me of the pain all over again. It does, still does. True enough, we can never get over it. It will stay with us no matter what.

Erik Santos is one of those artists that aren't most followed nor most popular on social media, his talent is undeniable because without music background and vocal equipment inside a studio. He can sit down and sing out of request. He sings every song beautifully. Natural talent. One of rarest and realest talents I've heard in years. I also want to mention the parents for being good to their son. It really shows that when you have good and bad memories mostly good because you had a good relationship with each other. When they're gone, you will miss them, so it's truly important that parents and children have good relationship.
Napaiyak ako Ms. Karen, naalala ko rin ang father ko thru phone lng ako nkapagpaalam sa knya pero mahal na mahal ko siya, alm nia yn.. Magaling tlaga ng singer c Erik,, idol kita.. Stay humble and always pray po, ang bait niong anak sa parents nio. More success in your career and keep safe po.
I can still feel the pain in Erik’s eyes and voice but he has to be strong to continue his life without his parents on his side and he has a career to take care of. Prayers for your fast healing Erik.

I have lost both parents. My dad in 2015 and my mom March of this year. I can so relate with Erik. It is so hard to lose both parents 😭 nut thank God for the strenght.

Hello, I’m can relate on what happened to him. I lost my Sister and my Mom 11 months apart. It is not easy, however God’s love lift us up. The most important thing is you need to have a deep relationship with God. It has been 2 years now exactly that my Sister passed. And also to this day God is so loving and faithful with his promise that He will never leave us or forsake us. Praise God! God bless always. ❤️🙏

I could relate to Eric, as I lost my husband, who is even a doctor, to Liver Cancer at age 56, last Feb. 15, 2022, early morning after Valentine's Day, and then my mom just a month later, March 30, 2022, from pneumonia (bedridden for 6 months). Yes, the pandemic made it difficult; we minimized going to the hospital, and cared for them both simultaneously at home on hospital beds. And I was an only child. Thank God for my 2 strong, loving young adult children. It was heart-wrenching. God heal us all from the pain and may He Bless us with progressive lives henceforth. Nice interview, Karen. More power to you, Eric. God Bless us all.

Yes. During the first year, then so on and so forth I was so emo with associating my mom from the stores, clothes she preferred to wear, then conversations we had that were fading. I was scared of losing her memories too. Counting from the time growing up w/ her til I separated from them,it was suddenly shorter. Now I seldom cry over thinking about her. When at the verge of crying, I whisked off the memory of her last days before they totally sink in. 😢
My mom died 2 years ago from lung cancer. Until now naiiyak parin ako. Same feelings kay Erik Santos. May mga questions parin bakit Nanay ko pa. She died when she was 64 y/o. Sobrang bata pa sya.
How I wish ganito lahat ang klase ng anak, kahit from birth pala pangaralan ng mabuti ang anak, sila pa din ang pipili kung alin ang gusto nila at pipiliin nilang buhay.Walang mabuting magulang na gustong mapasama ang kanilang

I can relate from Erik's experience, my father was also an OFW -went home when I was 7,when I turn 8 he was diagnosed stage 3 lung cancer because of that he had to stay at PLC for almost a year and went home to be with us after a month he died. The pain was still here, imagine I only had almost 2 years to be with my father and in those years we created a really great bond, I was treated like a princess and when he died everything turns upside down. Our lives change, and it was not a good kind of change. I guess the pain really does not go away, we just learn how live with it day by day.
