We did the opposite and visited Iceland with our own 4x4 by feryy. Its a very long and expensive journey and its probably more relaxing to drive on the F-roads with a rental.
Hi, Me and my girlfriend is thinking of travel around on Iceland, but we did not understand the insurance renting a car, is it really 3000€ that you need to give the company your renting of, and will you get it back when u hand in the car at the airport? It’s much money We are thinking traveling in April or May, is it enough with a smaller car or is it safer with a 4wd? Appreciated the video 😊👍🏻
No issues? I have a trip coming up and I've read so many horror story with rentals upon return. ZE- Zero Excess is what you guys booked with to be taken care of for any issues? With this video I might book with enterprise..
Zero excess means you pay nothing for accidental damage, you just drop off and move on. If you do something against regs (like go off road etc) then you are not covered. We were very impressed with enterprise tbf. Hope you have a great time!

Interesting! Yeah I think the costs and logistics probably make rental a better option but I'm sure you had a great experience!
@@twotalltravellers Yes, it´s an exciting country and camping is probably the best way to travel there.
Did you rental online including the Zero Excess insurance or contract just the car online and after that include insurance on enterprise office?

10 days and we are off, had to re watch this again. I was looking at the dirt road leading to a parking location closer to the Studagil Canyon....
