Imo Need For Speed needs to go full Carbon/MW again, bring back a serious campaign with live action cutscenes. Aggressive cops and set pieces to break chases, break the world in different pieces and have different crews run different neighborhoods and bring boss back canyon races. Also add crew building in the campaign so we can build our own crews with different types of racers like Drifters, Tuners etc.
They kinda tried to do that with Heat and 2015 and nobody liked them until it was too late. Making the game like Carbon or MW won't make people happy. I can assure you of that.
Honestly, the biggest issue for me is the damage. It's easy to set aggressive cops if you can make them faster than you, but with damage, you force the player to outrun the cops with speed only. When the player is faster, the cops fall behind, when the cops fall behind, pursuits end. Imo, in MW/carbon, when the cops were faster and there was no damage, most pursuits were lost by outmaneuvering the cops, which imo was way funner.
I agree with you 100% despite the comments above disagreeing. I've been wishing for a darker storyline with real cutscenes since 2015... 2015 almost did everything correctly in my opinion, it's just that the storyline wasn't dark and serious enough and lacked purpose. Also, the driving mechanics and cops sucked, which they have improved in a major way since then. If they could combine Unbound with 2015's cutscenes and make it darker it would be awesome. Also, they need to go back to realism and stop with the cartoon stuff... If you look closely enough you can see that even the environment was designed to have that cartoon/cell shaded effect in unbound. There's no way you can completely get rid of it. You can go play asphalt if you want the cartoon aesthetic. I'd like to see Forza Horizon 5 level graphics. They also need to bring back pursuit breakers.
More like Codemasters and Criterion doing this, with Codemasters bringing back the closed off circuit/sprint style games like High Stakes and Pro Street with Criterion going more like Carbon, Black Box Undercover, and Underground.
If you can SEND EA an email asking them to sell and lease NFS: Heat. My company has sent an email with an offer to purchase the rights to further develop, add additional cars, expand the map further, add in more scenes and story play, etc. I’d love some racers supports!!
It should be featuring cars that aren’t hidden behind the speed pass, and they should also feature a used car dealership with cheaper/beaten up cars to repair. Aswell as adding more economy friendly cars at a lower price so then nobody will be stuck in a Vw beetle. (Nissan Sentra, Honda Accord wagon, Honda del sol, Ford Focus, Peugeot 206, renault Clio, dodge stealth, Suzuki cappuccino, bmw 330i, etc.)
I agree 💯. Being able to buy used cars and rebuild and make them fast would be awesome! In my world you can K Swap an old 90’s Accord or Civic, tune it, port, polish, and throw some turbos on it and be faster than most. Or an LS swap, and do anything power wise. Having to drive the same cars to win is stupid.
@@LuckyQuadrifoglio idk if you realize but people from ug/ug2/mw era were talking about how they thought those were the end of the series bc it went from luxury supercars to “cheap beater cars” so the cars we have now are good enough
The limit is actually due to NFS being forced on the Frostbite engine which is not a good engine for a racing game since it doesnt handle high speeds well. But yes the limit should for sure be raised to maybe 260-270mph. It feels like NFS now are afraid to add hypercars because of the limiter. The limiter should be raised but i feel like its still needed to allow the hypercars and super expwnsive cars to be worth buying, but perhaps raising the lower end and mid end cars to cap out at for example 250 instead of 235 of whatever we have now
@@BlackPanthaa Welp, did not expect an actual answer from you. I do realize the possibility, it is undeniable. However, fact is there's no point on making, nor even planning, a next entry for Need For Speed. Criterion still got a lot of work to do that they put on themselves - It's a responsibility. Planning or making a new game considering key factors on the industry (*Cof* EA Battlefield) would be irresponsible. Criterion should finish what they promised, and only then would be our turn to ask questions. It's a matter of competence - Not necessity.
@@westnekon2106 From a software QA that knows a bit about the life cycle there are usually 2 or 3 iterations are traditionally being worked on simultaneously. The guys that do the actual coding are different from the game designers so it would take much longer to release a game if they waited for everything to be delivered for the current game. But i agree with most people here, take your time and make it good quality over quantity every single day!!
One thing I've been begging for a long time and really want from the next Need For speed title is, more iconic starter cars. For example Peugeot 206, Toyota Celica T23 (7th gen) and Volkswagen Golf IV (MK4)
I'm really proud of how criterion is taking this game. Never in my life have I seen criterion care so much about need for speed and give actual constant updates and more things to work for. A few things I'd like to see though would be some more body kit options especially for Porsche, more BMWs, And If possible, a map extension
If manufacturers didn’t care about their cars(which they shouldn’t do)we would have infinite amounts of body kits EA and Criterion can’t just pick a car and put it in the game(parts included) they need to ask permission to mr. Porsche (or porsche headquarters should I say)for example I know it’s just an idea but still keep that in mind
Kudos to criterion for adding nothing in singleplayer and leaving it to modders to add content. And I really appreciate EA s effort to sell minor dlc for the price of major ones.
@@TalkingHypercar heat had a complete singleplayer campaign with variety of events and end game content such as high heat races and the cops actually serving progression. Can you say that for unbound without it being a lie ? ( the two events in unbound are races and score events and the track list is pathetic). Updating the live service multiplayer aspect alone isn't a permanent update. Because it dies when the servers shut down. ( nfs unbound mp is free to play type grind that is more nfs no limits than a full priced product. " wanna buy a Ferrari testarossa? Yeah go win 5 races with a Ferrari ! " ). It's interesting how most people these days think these minimal updates that should have been in the release product are game changing content and we should be grateful. Maybe in future they can even sell a car with no wheels and provide you with them later on.
NFS franchise has gotten to the point where no matter what they do, people still won't be happy. If they go back to the past, nobody cares until it's too late. If they try something new, people complain.
Basically… Hot Pursuit fans like the simplicity and will never like the mixed gameplay. Underground-Carbon fans like the current direction, but the execution is not there.
Part of the problem of "no one is happy" is cuz the games are just bland at every level. Story is meh, customization is lacking, gameplay took TO LONG to become above average, car list is mostly hype beast internet cars. Its all so "eh"
@@SammyNailcar liat was alway the hype beast lmao. wtf you playing for all these years. scince the begining nfs always use cars were that popular at hte time lmao.
@@SammyNaili think coustomizations looks better in newer nfs gaames. scince the older games like nfs u1 u2 and mw has one of the most horrenduos body kits and parts among racing games.
That’s DEI for you. Which is going away after we get the looneys out of office 👍. People will be allowed freedom of expression, and there will be less censorship and cry babies.
It will be probably 2025 tbh... i dont get this gta 6 take all the time cuz afaik it gets released in the first months of the year and nfs always released in nov most of the time... so its plenty of time between the games
Do you remember in GTA V where you can switch between characters in the open world? That's what I’d love to see in NEED FOR SPEED: one Underground character and one Police character. For example, when you switch to the Police character there is a little sequence, your car is parked next to a donut shop, and your character is eating a donut. Whenever you switch to the Underground character, you spawnin in from the top of the map just like in GTA V and ur Character is standing next to ur car at a car meet. Another thing id love to see is Weather and Day Night has to be one Cycle and not switch Day and Night in ur Garage.
Agreed. EA are still in this cycle they’ve been in since 2017 of ‘oh shit, that game we’re making over here needs more support, let’s shift studios over to work on it. Now the game we took devs away from needs more support, let’s shift studios over to support with that. Now the game we took devs away from needs support… etc etc etc.
@bathin7941 EA needs to move away from the frostbite engine. Either that or update it. They build all of their games off of it but it just doesnt work for everything also they suck at supporting the studios that they aquire
All I want for the next NFS: - better handling and car physics - more car customization - interior customization (seats - customizing the factory seats and also have 1 aftermarket option - could be generic idc; customizing the factory steering wheel and also have 1 aftermarket option - could be generic idc) - Mainly NFS Underground 1 & 2 vibes and race styles but sprinkle a little bit of NFS Most Wanted 2005 vibe on top - like the cherry on top of the big cake; the style of the characters should be like in NFS MW 2005; also a little bit of Hot Pursuit action here and there would be cool - like for example when you have some heist missions here and there between races where you are paid to steal a unique car (there was something like that in NFS Payback and it was amazing) - go to a specific location on the map/GPS find the car, steal it and deliver the car to a specific destination and the cops come and you have to escape from them and also deliver the car in time in order to impress that man that pays you so that you get more jobs like that sometimes in between races. For example one unique mission could be one where you are paid to find and steal the M3 GTR from MW 2005 and you will have a surprise - Razor comes as well to find the car (he is paid as well - that man paid both you and Razor to test you and see who is better for future heist missions) and it will be like a race - who gets to the destination first to steal the car and when you got it the cop from NFS MW 2005 comes after you and you have to escape and one of the girls (the one with the RX-8 from MW 2005 or the one with the Ford GT from Carbon comes and helps you). Basically I want NFS Underground (day and night gameplay) but with cops and with MW 2005 type of characters and story/progression. - I want legendary characters returning back: the police officer from MW 2005, Razor, Darius and also the girl with the Mazda RX-8 from MW 2005 or the girl with the Ford GT from NFS Carbon. Real characters please!! - Drag races like in NFS Underground 2 and drift races, events like there are in The Crew Motorfest on those twisty mountains roads - Touge events - I would like to see a dedicated Tuning Shop/Customization Shop similar to a real life Hamann Motorsport or ABT tuner shop or a West Coast Customs or RDBLA style of custom auto shop where you go to customize your cars and upgrade there performance - I would like to see there a few aftermarket wheels on display, Brembo brake calipers, custom seats, exhaust system, and those paint samples. The garage should be just for storage. - I don't like those cartoon type effects on the cars - but everybody has it's own tastes, don't judge me. Hopefully the people that are working on this game will read my comment! :)) ✌️❤️
Interior customization will likely take a while given these car models have never had it is focus and all need a serious modeling of the interior and character animations etc. The new possible customization might be some rollcages given we saw that for the Crown Vic. Or maybe we might get customizable tyre profile and things like that, perhaps more parachutes, turbos and such that we've seen on the special kit cars
@@Neozixxs The interior is pretty detailed yes, but only enough to make it look good from outside. Its still low poly and static, i think realistcly interior customization isnt something we will maybe starting seeing like 2-3 titles in the future
I would rather take more content than customisation. What nfs lacks now is variety. Where are the different type of events ? Unbound doesn't even have a time trial. No eliminator races. No speed trap races ( mw2005 ). Dirt racing didn't make it to unbound and they just made courses go off road a bit. Which is really awful. No return of canyon races , speed trap races , outrun events. Nobody in this channel talks about the severe lack of variety in these games. Cops are no way tied to the game's progression and won't even bust you. I would agree with your customisation part if they actually had a core game in there. 2000 s and 2010s criterion always had 140 or so race / events in their racing games. Now it's like 30 events in unbound. And total races are like 15. They don't even last 4 mins.
GTA 5 released in 2013. Forza 5 and NFS Rivals also got released in 2013. Plenty of games released alongside GTA. The current generation of game developers lack backbone and it's evident with their growing incompetence to please their own audience
but GTA didn’t have the MASSIVE reputation and the anticipation wasn’t as high as it is now, back then there was room for other games to squeeze in. GTA 6 leaves no room for any other games to thrive.
@handlinghandler more people should realize that the Rockstar making GTA 6 isn't the same one that made GTA 5. If they realized that, the hype would be more reasonable and the game devs who know what they're doing wouldn't be as cautious around GTA 6 as they are currently
There was never going to be a Need for Speed 2024. The earliest we are expecting to see the next mainline NFS is Q4 2025 IAW EA's release schedule and their history of projected earnings. What I am hearing as of right now is that Criterion was focusing their efforts on building the next NFS from the ground up. This doesn't nessescarily mean a new engine, but it most likely won't be another NFS 2015 derivative. As if right now, from what I have heard, the direction for the game has not been fully decided on. It's primarily core game mechanics that are receiving much needed reworks. Of course, this is all watercooler talk with absolutely nothing concrete to back it up, but it aligns a lot with what we should expect with Criterion retaking the reigns of the franchise. We know for a fact that when Ghost Games was closed down, EA scrambled to put another team on the franchise and chose hand it back to Criterion given thier experience with the franchise prior, and what Criterion was handed didnt at all align with thier vision for the franchise. They threw a map together and a rough story, re-used almost everything from Heat, and made a lot of tweaks, and then finalized the story, hired talent, and worked on art direction. Do not expect the next NFS to be anything like Unbound. Unbound is the last real game in the Ghost era. I say this because the games foundation was entirely based on Ghosts work. Theres not much more to say other than this. But we will not see another mainline NFS game until Q4 of 2025 AT THE EARLIEST. This is the closest you will get to hearing it from the horses mouth until the official announcement of the next game.
Heat definitely felt better than unbound, but then cops where crazy tough... What they weren't was stupid like in unbound... literally get to level 5 by going in reverse for .5 seconds then breaking until they start the bust counter and do it again 🤦🏾♂️
NFS heat perfected the underground formula and would have had even more of that racing crew experience and fine tuned the social aspects of the game. If you research what content heat would have had it would have been one of the best nfs games of all time instead of the favorite that didn’t reach its potential.
Really liked the physics in ProStreet. Grip felt grippy, and drag was amazing, probably the best drag in any NFS, a proper drag strip setup rather than traffic dodging simulator
@@stalliondave9338Exactly, they should make grip events grippy, propper drag races, and they can keep the brake 2 drift physics for drift events so neither they have to remake drift, and we don't have to go back to that damned, boaty, on rails drift events Prostreet had haha.
You mean arcadey physics* which would defeat the purpose of unique setups because arcade racer game. But hey, MW05 and Carbon were enjoyable af to drive in and the sense of speed was incredible.
You wont because that takes more money and time then EA is willing to do. Also, if it outsells the current games then EA would shitcan Criterion a month after release of 2025/2026 due to it not beating those sales. If it under preforms then EA will do something stupid too, like force the next game to be like Shift but using all the stuff built for the next game and just be awful. a MW Remaster is a lose lose.
None of the Underground games got them, so it will most likely be a continuing trend. Also if game sells well Criterion is toast because anything they make will be scraped as it wont outsell :D
Next year will be the 20th anniversary of NFS Most Wanted (2005, do I even have to say this?). It would be criminal not to release a remastered version then. I hope we get something that is similar to NSF MW next year either way.
@@Cloaker86 why the hell should he let go? it almost entirely unanimous in agreement that NFS MW 2005 is still the greatest installment of the series throughout the entirety of the need for speed community. will it actually happen, probably not, but a majority of us players would love to see a variation of most wanted 2005 just because of how good the game was.
@@hllblldlx its called need for speed carbon, it already happened not to mention if Most Wanted came out now people would still cry because it doesnt have enough customization or phisycs or whatever the racing game community cries about nowadays
Can NFS try immersion for once? We always get these bad hollywood esc characters, or just cartoons, the world feels fake and disconnected, nothing feels like you have an impact on it... 2015 outside of the story almost had it, but all modern NFS games feel the same, Im hoping for something different. Give us that cancelled most wanted 2 sequel!
The only thing I think they need to work on the most is the handling, they need to get rid of the brake to drift horribleness, I don't want them to go SIM just a bit more feeling from the cars
One thing that i noticed while playing the game "nightrunner" was the importance of the feeling of speed in a racing game. It gives you the adrenaline, the need to go faster and also the fear of the speed. And i think that the feeling of speed for a game named "need for speed" is a very important point to work on (and also the physic).
i want undercover cops during races just like the mw'05 intro at first no one thought that corvette was an actual cop. Amaze me! Make me suffer my way to the end of the race where my main opponent flash those sirens and bump me behind so i know im gonna get chased after that race!
For context, I was taking care of things around my house while I listened to this video so I might have misheard, but I would just like to state if I have to pay real money for car parts (including body kits) Im not picking the game up whenever it does come out. Its a car game that is going to cost anywhere between $60-70. I shouldn't have to pay extra to mod the cars how I want within the limits of the game. Locking features that should be included in a game behind a price wall is a disgusting greedy tactic that I cannot stand in the current game industry and it baffles me that people just give in and shell out the money for that kind of stuff without complaint. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Great video, man
I think they need to create a new fresh and innovative theme for the game. Each year people are complaining that the game isn't most wanted 2.0 or underground 3 but the truth is if that happened people would complain its always the same thing. They need to create the 'new thing' for nfs that stands out on its own like nfsmw or ug. By the way I love the effects, they add so much character to the game.
feel like mixing in Heat, Carbon and Hot Pursuit is a good option, those are probably the best NFS games and i feel like mixing into one + a good story is the way to go
An arcade machine in the garages as a alternate mode would be awesome. Keep cartoon characters/effects for this mode so they can still go over the top, seperate cars u own from story/arcade so story can have a more grind progression but arcade u can own everything much easier/quicker, have it as a challenge mode with solo and online challenge events and a leaderboard, have unique areas not apart of main map (example, never ending freeway no hesi style timed challenge, crash you lose time and an ability to gain extra time somehow) For story I want to see mw blacklists/pursuit breakers and carbon crews/boss touges return, maybe heat/carbon style story, day could be a speedhunters championship where car type/class events come into play and progressing through day impresses better and better racers to want to join your night crew, then night could be all about the underground scene picking through and recruiting racers youve impressed in the day for your night crew to race all the other rival night crews in their areas working your way up to the rival crews bosses to challenge them for their area and eventually end with winning the entire speedhunters championship during day becoming speedhunters champion and taking over the entire map at night becoming king of the underground scene, then after story do a time skip where a blacklist has started your crew split up and is apart of the blacklist along with previous rival crew members and characters from previous games for something to do after the linear story and to win their iconic cars. Have a main save file for story + online and a seperate save file to replay story whenever you want For music have radios but hide all songs from radio + unique songs not on radio including iconic songs from previous games around the map to find so we can make our own playlist with the ability to skip songs in our own playlist like irl For customisation have unique hood mods for different engine swaps/mods for all cars (superchargers have blowers/turbos can be exposed), have realistic body kits, more OEM options aswell as moldable body kits like carbon, camber not forced unless needed to avoid clipping issues and wheel spacers available, the ability to save car builds that you can only use if you have the spare parts used in certain builds For online the ability to make your own races/routes you can invite the lobby to join to avoid repetitiveness
Multiplayer + Singleplayer split seemed like a misunderstanding of what the community really wanted. I think what folks REALLY wanted was the PVP vs. Free Roam split (which users eventually got, but after the damage was already done).
Dude the canyon duels were my favorite. Always looking for a way to overtake. Or just keep up with the car infront as you inspect the road and watch for better lines when it's your turn to be the mouse. Man, the good days are past us huh?
i love the idea you brought up about battlepass substitutes around 16:00 mark. i wanna add to it so to handle the need for monetization give us the option to pay to complete the (challenge pass) or charge us a small fee to unlock and old season which we would still have to play. i would put tag/wall art in to, instead of putting the art in and tying it to exploration.
Yeah, multiplayer is the only thing that they relying on. It’s literally the only thing that they’re adding new stuff in. I wish it was both in the same time like need for speed heat
The games mechanic, graphics, art style ARE NOT the problem. The problem is that the games are lacking SOUL none of the previous games draw you into the world and make you feel drawn to the story. I know it's not a super popular idea but the games hold no weight and just feel like a husk. It needs more weight to the world than just simply driving events saving cash an buying the most expensive car than stop playing it. No matter how much you delay and work on the game if the game has no direction it'll be shit. Just how unbound was absoulte garbage.
To whoever is making the next game: Take. Your. Time. It's good that there is no NFS 2024. It should be NFS 2026 or 2027. No more rushed Need For Speed. Let us rock out with Unbound getting content for the next few years and let the next game cook until it's ready to be served as a complete package and then expand on it more to enhance an already great experience.
We doesn't need a nfs game that has better graphics and physics or an anime style,we need the game to be fun like the old games(MW, Underground)and we need so much better cops because after carbon there were never good cops in nfs.
I just want cops that give a challenge. I had 7 cops surrounding me like the president when I was lightly tapping the trigger at 45 mph. Did that for like 10 minutes and didn’t die
1. remove cartoon effect and artstyle 2. better AI( less cheating race ai and dumb cop ai 3. better soundtrack 4. better car handling 5. more car customization , underground style, not every part needs to be a name brand 6. simple story not unbound cringe 7. no supercars, focus on "cheaper" more normal street race cars 8. remove car lvl, returm to underground 2 style 9. not being forced to own multiple cars
All great points. I love unbound, probably my favorite NFS since UDG and MW. What I think would be a great call back to the series as a whole would be to make a story that ties all of the characters from previous NFS together through a racing circuit that crowns a best driver in all cities. Would love to see new rivals but also bringing back Eddie, Rachel, Mercer, Darius, Joe and bring back crews that represent each city/game along with the new characters. Maybe take a page out of the F&F series where the villain is either a car booster (Alec from unbound) or a double agent (like how Paul Walker was in the first movie) where he’s also a cop posing as a racer. It could make for a long story that touches on many characters we love. In terms of game play I could really love to see Car tiers changed (expanded) because imo, super cars should be in their own tier. My S+ skyline can’t compete against the S+ EU super cars which many people honestly don’t like to use but do so because they have too to compete. I get some people like them but let’s be real they aren’t cars you tune and modify and don’t feel apart of a “tuner” culture like how many of the games have been. So if you keep them, just have them be in H-tier for Hyper cars for balance. Hope you read this, like it, and bring the idea to the devs 🙏🏽
Especially if we were at car meets you can set up races between friends and rivals make them put their cars on the line to represent their online garage team there are so many ways we can add this element to need for speed to be honest I believe it's the one thing that's been missing
I think all the next Need for Speed need game needs is a campaign just as engaging as Heat's with great story missions and a lot of games modes for both single player and multiplayer. The car list is great as it is, but I wouldn't say no to more.
I really want nfs to go hypercars and supercars era once again like rivals, mw12 or Hot pursuit I'll like and love seeing new hypercars and supercars in game and hitting top speed in a high octane racing
I'm cool to be patient, but PLEASE ask them to add an option to turn OFF screen shake. I saw some screen shake and immediately decided I will NOT play this game if I cannot turn that off. The off-road screen shake is what I'm talking about. 2025, 2026, even 2027 is fine, but no screen shake.
if the next NFS has as much as sh*t as this one from release (like forced anime effects, no cops in online, etc) the franchise is dead as a whole. Don't forget they lied saying you could disable effects at release date, but they recently added that option, after 2 years. If they keep disrespecting their costumers & the "source material" of how the franchise started, the future installments will be cancelled by EA. BTW, they keep saying "1st person cockpit view doesn't fit NFS because it's an arcade game". That's BS, all of my NFS homies would love to re-play all the old NFS games in 1st person camera. Let's start asking them for those changes, otherwise without innovation or new things in the game, games become boring easily
My feedback for the next NFS game: - More consistent and solid handling model - Add more gameplay modes (which they already did with unbound, so good job to the developers), example: time attack, elimination (grid), touge, etc. - A challenging map to drive on, with plenty of elevation changes, twisty turns, and hazards. FH5-styled maps aren’t just doing it for me. Also feel free to experiment with creating different worlds/continents for different tracks and see how the audience reacts. Not everything has to be open world. I wish Criterion and everyone involved the best of luck with the next NFS game 💪🔥
One thing I don't hear people talk enough (imo) is the ridiculously huge amount of convertible versions for already present cars... That's one of the things that pissed me off the most about this game's supposedly massive car list
I'll say it time and time again, what made the old nfs games so enjoyable is the ability to replay the story. You just create a new save file and you restart from the beginning, they bring that back and im positive the games will a lot more staying power.
Also the fact that after you beat the story you had access to garage (outside of campaign) that you could fill with cars to use in Races or Online, and you didn't have to grind for days just to buy cars and get parts for them.
live action story mode is always something i appreciate about NFS, i miss those days when BB used to make such memorable characters like Cross, Darius and Razor. Nowadays, its all about mindless races and if anything to go by, 3D animated models looks so bad. Bring back those golden days and I'm in again.
I stopped playing after the story BECAUSE of having to completely restart, otherwise I'd honestly keep playing, I just felt like my cars I spent hours modifying weren't anything anymore, unlike Heat where I keep coming back to it just to show my friends new cars I've made and maybe drag race them and such. a feature that'd really keep me coming back would honestly be community made races maps or objects, think about it, some of the most popular most talked about games for years now ARE community driven in some sort of creative way. imagine being able to create one of your favorite IRL drift tracks up in the air whilst trying not to get knocked off by enemy cop players in a infection/elimination sort of way, this is what NFS needs to hook onto as a way to satisfy all our hungers with a singular release, creators, realists with the custom tracks, and enthusiasts with capatilizing in their older games as game modes with a twist, user made tracks would just sky rocket the replay ability and technically unlimit the amount of things to do.
I hope the next Need For Speed gives us map destruction, better car crashing physics, 1st person view, interior customization, visibile motors (engine swaps and aftermarket parts you can see). I hope they go more in depth with the different style races. It would be really cool to see a full on drag racing mode. Proper drag tree, 2 speed powerglides, tuning, time slips etc
I think they did this cartoon effects mostly for the underground gang style like giving more to the car and driving than just smoke but yeah cartoon characters was a bit goofy but it worked! Thats the best about it, it worked so i think as you said keep the smoke, wings, and other car effects like that just not the characters. It was cool to see but now it just gotta be like that i hope, and i think it wouldve been more representive for the effects if the characters was normal and realistic so yeah ur right ❤😂
What i want to see? Them to implement a version of the territory control and crews in todays map size, it would give us a lot to play for. They already had the districts in the last 2 games. On that regard we never heard anything proper from The League, in Unbound the game had a lot of focus on the rival racers so maybe if each one of them controlled a district and u had to race them to win it and unlock their safehouse. Make the boss races different, more challenging and special compared to other races. Carbon is perfect for me, the canyon duels are my fav race mode in the history of the series of what i’ve played. Also make it gritty instead of this ”yo lit bruh influencer” stuff.
Yeah buddy, they could even make online "clans" (think how Ubisoft in ForHonor had Knights vs Vikings vs Samurai) and huge ass map where people race to take over territories, and poof, you have reason for people to come back every day and race while you work on updates.
I hope they return to NFS MW, Carbon, Undercover type of main characters. We see the world / cutscenes in 1st person perspective, and we are muted. NFS 2015 was on the right track.
I have some bad feelings about the new NFS, of course it's good that they listen to the fans, but I'm afraid that from the many different opinions of the fans they will try to please everyone by trying to shove in everything that many different fans like, in the end the game may turn out to be a hodgepodge without a common style and view of the game, especially without the view of the developers, I want them to decide for themselves what this game should be and I hope the fans will only let me figure out what exactly needs to be tightened up for the next game, and not try to decide for the developers how it should look
Weather: I wanna see all weather. I want snow days. Icy races and cop chases. It could just be a temporary story arc where snow hits and some crazies are racing still and if you want in, you need another car. Location: Doesn't have to be America. It's always America. How about a Euro city? It could be Japan? What about a complete custom mix?
I believe they need to bring back the old style for cops, which isn't talked about enough. When you play the older games the cops sound realistic and threatening. They weren't really scary, but they made it FEEL more intense. And they need to either throw out the damage aspect or rework it again, because I live for the long cop chases, and getting as many on me as possible. I grew up playing Carbon and Undercover, which in my opinion is underrated, and those cop chases were really fun. Unbound does it better than Heat by allowing more gas station runs, but your ability to battle the cops is lost. It becomes an outrun challenge when you should be able to do both. Pursuit breakers and speed breaker helped balance that out in the older games, and I'd really like to see a return to something like that. There's a number of things they can update or tweak, but the base game and story need to be solid, otherwise there's no soul to the game. That's why I believe Heat is doing better than Unbound still. It had a decent story that ended on a cliffhanger, a beautiful map, and had lots of potential to grow like Unbound is currently doing.
I think it'd be cool if they did something like a hot pursuit open world where if you do cop career you level up similarly to the racers by driving to different events, those could be takedowns, rapid response, and also previews which both careers already had in hot pursuit. If they were two separate careers it could be two separate stories which would take a lot more work but it'd hopefully be worth it.
One thing I want to see in the next NFS is to see extra maps for dedicated races like in Underground 2 like having some drag races in the airport and some in the main map same with drifting and circuit that way in the future they can add even more races in different locations in the future and with online have different modes, Public, Friends, Invite only and PvP and every mode has a peaceful mode so players who don’t want cops can play without them
18:45 That's a good point, I personally love the dark atmosphere of Unbound. But we've had so many different art styles in the last few racing games from glowing to neon Miami palm trees and neon dark cities to grey dark that many customers have found their personal preference, which in turn means that the next racing games have to include as many different scenes to satisfy the wide audience. That's definitely not an easy task.
We need to be able to build any type of car build like Texas style slabs or low riders, donks etc.. bigger rims and adjustable size tires for if you want to do a lifted truck build. And adjustable front and rear suspension. Give us the good days of need for speed like underground , underground 2, most wanted, where you could change the way your doors open or adding subwoofers even though they serve no purpose lol.
On cartoon effects - I immediately thought of Underground 2 magazine covers events. So you in the future you could, say like, start an event that would turn those effects on like for magazine shooting session or music video shooting session where you would drive and then see it as a collectible with your car and with those cartoony effects somewhere in the menu, would be pretty cool
17:02 I’ve been saying since NFS heat that the kits they made for the hero cars (R34 and 350z) and also the ones one some other special cars from that game (Ana’s 350 and the dlc cars) should be available for the stock versions of the cars. it’s an easy way of adding customization to EXISTING cars
I just wanna see NFS go back to the glory days mainly Most Wanted 2005. One of my friends recently jumped back into it and when I watch it I just get memories of the good days and really hope it comes back. Don’t get me wrong the modern games are really good aswell. Was never a fan of Hot Pursuit or rivals but 2015, Payback, Heat and Unbound I really enjoyed playing but just a chance to go back to have the older games in the modern era would be good. I would love a game that has a load of the past games maps and maybe characters from those games and keeping the cartoon style as I like that it gave the game its own identity and bringing back the best of music from the franchise. But I feel like it won’t happen but if something like that happened I would love it
If I were to create a new Need for Speed game, I would probably implement the following ideas: Slow down the progression of acquiring new cars. I believe the journey from zero to hero should involve obtaining around eight new cars, each better than the previous one. To support this, include a range of standard cars such as Peugeots, Škodas, Fiats, and VWs. I'd love to tune a Peugeot 508 into a street bandit. Introduce a marketplace for already-tuned cars and require players to pay for repairs. This could be akin to Juiced, where you could buy a new car from the showroom or a used and damaged one, and after every race, you need to pay for repairs. Break up the campaign by creating a few rival "gangs," each with different styles. Depending on which gang you align with, the others will cause problems during your campaign, such as stealing your cars, sending the police after you, attacking you and your crew, and damaging your buildings. Each crew could have different focuses: some could be drifters, others could love cruising the city, and some might emphasize car customization. One of the hero's friends could even be an undercover cop, or maybe certain crews only participate in official events, like the day races in NFS Heat. There are many possibilities. It would be nice to have more non-racing activities. Since we finally have people on the streets, let's include fast taxi or delivery tasks. Jumping through billboards is becoming boring.
Man, the cartoon effects and anime characters are what made me turn the eye for this one. I played auto modellista back in the day and absolutely loved that art style because all the game was in anime style. Period. When you start to mix effects that's where the game turns childish, it's like watching "who killed roger rabbit" but with cars. Nfs 2015 and Heat are still my favourites. The '15 had so much realistic effects back then, still love the water drops effects on the skin panels and night vibe of it.
That’s literally all we CARE ABOUT that one specific feature being taken out after all these previous renditions of NFS since 2015 has been they’re downfall
Who wants a NFS Underground 3 with better physics than Forza Horizon 5, multiple visual mods, not only that useless, horrendous rocket bunny? And bring back tuning and underglow neon! Illegal night street racing and police! 5-O! Coppers! And NOS! And full wheel support! Hell yeah!!!
i wish they name next game as Need For Speed : Hunt Location : japan cars : anything but not ev Color scheme : black and white ( heat has pink theme, unbound has green theme, 2015 has blue theme, hot pursuit has orange and black theme, rivals has red and blue theme and so on ) and NFS : Hunt should have great story or no story there is no in between
I need them to make a Vantage for the game. LOVE the DB11 and now because of NFS Heat it's my dream car, but I've missed not being able to customize or play with a Vantage, which I think would be a perfect car for NFS.
They need to bring back the main characters from 2015, Payback, Heat, and Unbound back. Create a story around that. With a new main character wanting to the best racer of all time. It would be like a Pokémon Gold/Silver moment battling against Red.
in my opinion the singleplayer/multiplayer separation shold get replaced by what i'd like to call as "arcade garage" that is simmilar to how nfsu1-nfsc handled quick race garages. You can have a car in your career garage that can be used everywhere, but requires you to pay for your parts. But then there's the arcade garage that could be used for quick races and multiplayer only (possibly an unranked one only too if you want some sort of balance between proper career and the arcade cars with unlimited budget), but you get to tune all cars as much as you only wish without properly earning for them. You still need to unlock access to the new cars and the tuning parts via the career mode, or competing in the multiplayer, let's say both gameplay types are tied to a single xp bar that unlocks parts for various car tiers for you till level 50 or so, and then the progression is mostly visual afterwards, and the car unlocks are done through progression and the challenges as they are right now
Can we just get the NFSU2 customization added to the next game? I mean... CMON! Hydraulics, custom sound systems, neon in the hood/ trunk, engine paints and I LOVED the magazine photo shoots. It really drove the lifestyle aspect of the game home in a fantastic way.
@@AK-ZL1you forgot use pursuit breaker if too much too handle

The limit is actually due to NFS being forced on the Frostbite engine which is not a good engine for a racing game since it doesnt handle high speeds well. But yes the limit should for sure be raised to maybe 260-270mph. It feels like NFS now are afraid to add hypercars because of the limiter. Whenever you switch to the Underground character, you spawnin in from the top of the map just like in GTA V and ur Character is standing next to ur car at a car meet. Another thing id love to see is Weather and Day Night has to be one Cycle and not switch Day and Night in ur Garage.

All I want for the next NFS:
- better handling and car physics
- more car customization - interior customization (seats - customizing the factory seats and also have 1 aftermarket option - could be generic idc; customizing the factory steering wheel and also have 1 aftermarket option - could be generic idc)
- Mainly NFS Underground 1 & 2 vibes and race styles but sprinkle a little bit of NFS Most Wanted 2005 vibe on top - like the cherry on top of the big cake; the style of the characters should be like in NFS MW 2005; also a little bit of Hot Pursuit action here and there would be cool - like for example when you have some heist missions here and there between races where you are paid to steal a unique car (there was something like that in NFS Payback and it was amazing) - go to a specific location on the map/GPS find the car, steal it and deliver the car to a specific destination and the cops come and you have to escape from them and also deliver the car in time in order to impress that man that pays you so that you get more jobs like that sometimes in between races.
- Drag races like in NFS Underground 2 and drift races, events like there are in The Crew Motorfest on those twisty mountains roads - Touge events
- I would like to see a dedicated Tuning Shop/Customization Shop similar to a real life Hamann Motorsport or ABT tuner shop or a West Coast Customs or RDBLA style of custom auto shop where you go to customize your cars and upgrade there performance - I would like to see there a few aftermarket wheels on display, Brembo brake calipers, custom seats, exhaust system, and those paint samples. The garage should be just for storage.
- I don't like those cartoon type effects on the cars - but everybody has it's own tastes, don't judge me.
Hopefully the people that are working on this game will read my comment! :))

Interior customization will likely take a while given these car models have never had it is focus and all need a serious modeling of the interior and character animations etc. The new possible customization might be some rollcages given we saw that for the Crown Vic.

Keep cartoon characters/effects for this mode so they can still go over the top, seperate cars u own from story/arcade so story can have a more grind progression but arcade u can own everything much easier/quicker, have it as a challenge mode with solo and online challenge events and a leaderboard, have unique areas not apart of main map (example, never ending freeway no hesi style timed challenge, crash you lose time and an ability to gain extra time somehow)
For story I want to see mw blacklists/pursuit breakers and carbon crews/boss touges return, maybe heat/carbon style story, day could be a speedhunters championship where car type/class events come into play and progressing through day impresses better and better racers to want to join your night crew, then night could be all about the underground scene picking through and recruiting racers youve impressed in the day for your night crew to race all the other rival night crews in their areas working your way up to the rival crews bosses to challenge them for their area and eventually end with winning the entire speedhunters championship during day becoming speedhunters champion and taking over the entire map at night becoming king of the underground scene, then after story do a time skip where a blacklist has started your crew split up and is apart of the blacklist along with previous rival crew members and characters from previous games for something to do after the linear story and to win their iconic cars.
Have a main save file for story + online and a seperate save file to replay story whenever you want
For music have radios but hide all songs from radio + unique songs not on radio including iconic songs from previous games around the map to find so we can make our own playlist with the ability to skip songs in our own playlist like irl
For customisation have unique hood mods for different engine swaps/mods for all cars (superchargers have blowers/turbos can be exposed), have realistic body kits, more OEM options aswell as moldable body kits like carbon, camber not forced unless needed to avoid clipping issues and wheel spacers available, the ability to save car builds that you can only use if you have the spare parts used in certain builds
For online the ability to make your own races/routes you can invite the lobby to join to avoid repetitiveness
As for the soundtrack point, just make it as big as Midnight Club 3 and LA, so there's a bunch of genres and there's something for everybody.
Sadly, getting licensing for such tracks can get very expensive. Everything is too expensive nowadays.
they also had playlists in LA, i dont know why this is always a problem in modern games when they did it well in 2009...
I am going to say one thing. I need challenge series back
And achievements from Carbon
Multiplayer + Singleplayer split seemed like a misunderstanding of what the community really wanted. I think what folks REALLY wanted was the PVP vs. Free Roam split (which users eventually got, but after the damage was already done).
I think that canyon duels from carbon needs to be something that comes back for multiplayer, and maybe even bring back the race day stuff
R.I.P. Need For Speed...
Multiplayer is not for everyone. But yeah go be happy about because thats the only thing that matters.
Yeah, multiplayer is the only thing that they relying on. It’s literally the only thing that they’re adding new stuff in. I wish it was both in the same time like need for speed heat
@@isamuel0643bro what do you guys do after beating the game? Multiplayer is the life of the game. 😂
If they make the drifting and driving auctually good for once then NFS could be a household game again.
NFS in general is cooked but I got faith in it
Maybe like a rally thing with rally cars, customization and races
It'll be nice if they took some ideas from Midnight Club LA
Every nfs has its unique soundtrack. Just imagine if you boot most wanted and heard riders on the storm 😅
Unbound needs new handling. The Audi R8 makes every other car feel like shit.
Very cool video black panthaa
2:40 it blows my mind to hear Theo say this, especially considering I’ve felt this way since I first played MW12, I loved that game so much.
Hot take heat is like Naruto chunin exams to a lot of people
We doesn't need a nfs game that has better graphics and physics or an anime style,we need the game to be fun like the old games(MW, Underground)and we need so much better cops because after carbon there were never good cops in nfs.
I want another game like heat
In japan
Heat was so underrated
I just want cops that give a challenge. I had 7 cops surrounding me like the president when I was lightly tapping the trigger at 45 mph. Did that for like 10 minutes and didn’t die
1. remove cartoon effect and artstyle
2. better AI( less cheating race ai and dumb cop ai
3. better soundtrack
4. better car handling
5. more car customization , underground style, not every part needs to be a name brand
6. simple story not unbound cringe
7. no supercars, focus on "cheaper" more normal street race cars
8. remove car lvl, returm to underground 2 style
9. not being forced to own multiple cars
Maybe take a page out of
the F&F series where the villain is either a car booster (Alec from unbound) or a double agent (like how Paul Walker was in the first movie) where he’s also a cop posing as a racer.
*At this point, i expect them "going in back to their roots" aka making a Burnout game with licenced cars. That or a Horizon clone.*
Especially if we were at car meets you can set up races between friends and rivals make them put their cars on the line to represent their online garage team there are so many ways we can add this element to need for speed to be honest I believe it's the one thing that's been missing
The Next NFS Is going crazy
We said the same about unbound 😂
@@nabgameplays unbound is crazy
@@nabgameplays Werent we all doubting that Criterion would never be able to make a good nfs title?
I think all the next Need for Speed need game needs is a campaign just as engaging as Heat's with great story missions and a lot of games modes for both single player and multiplayer. The car list is great as it is, but I wouldn't say no to more.
I really want nfs to go hypercars and supercars era once again like rivals, mw12 or Hot pursuit
I'll like and love seeing new hypercars and supercars in game and hitting top speed in a high octane racing
My feedback for the next NFS game:
- More consistent and solid handling model
- Add more gameplay modes (which they already did with unbound, so good job to the developers), example: time attack, elimination (grid), touge, etc.

11:35 They wouldn't have needed to improve the photo mode if they didn't remove the already good photomode from 2015, Payback and Heat.
One thing I don't hear people talk enough (imo) is the ridiculously huge amount of convertible versions for already present cars... That's one of the things that pissed me off the most about this game's supposedly massive car list
the reason most people dont mention it is because almost everyone likes it
I'll say it time and time again, what made the old nfs games so enjoyable is the ability to replay the story.
You know that cars you win in story mode are also transferred to your online garage? Sounds like an excuse to me.
I did like the Chase Beakers causing the cops to fail due to Strategic driving and hitting Chase breaker's!!!😮😅😂❤
I kinda want them to come back to their original MW2, it looked promising
Weather:
I wanna see all weather. I want snow days. Icy races and cop chases.
It could just be a temporary story arc where snow hits and some crazies are racing still and if you want in, you need another car.
Location:
Doesn't have to be America.
We need to get canyon duals back and a dark story with team building street racing like carbon.
But I feel like it won’t happen but if something like that happened I would love it
There needs to be more events for Drift+ cars. Give us drift+ gauntlet, drift+ racing, drift+ gymkhana.
If I were to create a new Need for Speed game, I would probably implement the following ideas:
Slow down the progression of acquiring new cars.
The only thing that I dislike about unbound is that you have to restart in multiplayer.
i just want to throw a sick sound system in the boot with a giant bottle of nos like underground 2
Hell yeah!!!
i wish they name next game as Need For Speed : Hunt
Location : japan
cars : anything but not ev
Color scheme : black and white ( heat has pink theme, unbound has green theme, 2015 has blue theme, hot pursuit has orange and black theme, rivals has red and blue theme and so on )
and NFS : Hunt should have great story or no story there is no in between
Why no EVs? If the point (based off the title) is hunting, wouldnt EVs make more sense since they only make tire and wind noise?
nah if theyre making a game in japan theyre absolutely making it very bright and neon-y like midnight club 2
Let’s remaster NFSU2 !
You still need to unlock access to the new cars and the tuning parts via the career mode, or competing in the multiplayer, let's say both gameplay types are tied to a single xp bar that unlocks parts for various car tiers for you till level 50 or so, and then the progression is mostly visual afterwards, and the car unlocks are done through progression and the challenges as they are right now
also a way more varied soundtrack, not a single genre being 90% of the game ost like Unbound, or even 50%
Arcade Garage will never happen, EA NEEDS to make money off you.
@@SammyNail i mean in game money, not microtransaction currency
If they could just drop the insanely cringey police dialogue that'd be a huge start.
Can we just get the NFSU2 customization added to the next game? I mean... CMON! Hydraulics, custom sound systems, neon in the hood/ trunk, engine paints and I LOVED the magazine photo shoots. It really drove the lifestyle aspect of the game home in a fantastic way.
Love that TRD spoiler in the opening shot ❤👌
