Hall had a good game played some great passes
Apparently isak and Wilson were ill yesterday (not injured) so left Wilson off for Wednesday, and just decided we needed one. That’s what Eddie just said in the press conference
The officiating was abysmal. Left feeling like I didn’t even go to a game because of it. PGMOL is destroying the game
Did it cost us the game or was it that we didn’t do enough ourselves to win it?
Mate refs have been corrupt for decades, why do u think the pgmol was introduced
@@jonathanward7320 I agree, was it still in our control to win? Yes, but I’m not complaining about the result, im complaining about the officials killing the game. We pay to go and watch footy, not to watch a goalkeeper take 5mins to take a single goal kick
We still start players who weren’t good enough to compete with Man Utd in a cup final 15 months ago. I’m quite worried about next season as things stand. We need a big summer of change.
We've probably trained all week with Isak and Wilson in the team then Mr Unreliable gets injured again typical, we need to sell Wilson and Almiron I've had enough if I'm being honest. Great show as always Paul. 👍 #NUFC
40m plus Almiron for Olise would be enough to seal a deal i think, they want 60m for Olise and Miggy is worth 20m in todays prices. I think Miggy would be a great peice of business for them too.

@@PAB86 antony was bought for 100, because of the glazers. Thats what im saying, no other club will buy antony for that much, and in the same vein i dont think any prem clubs will buy miggy for 20. He's over 30. Wilson is valued at like 15... why would any owner pay more for 0 end product?

Miggy was flyong before his injuries, last year he was unplayable and you'd be suprised how many clubs would love miggy's style of play in their team, and he's just turned 30 and still athletic not slowing down, in todays price he's well worth 20m it was only last season we accepted a bid for 35m for him, and before you say yeah because of the saudi's remember the premier league do fair valuation on a player when they sign for connected clubs so that its not cheating by inflation prices and the premier league passed it otherwise we wouldnt have been able to accept the bid in the first place. So your telling me Miggy has lost 15m in price in less than a year ?
I hope we do get 6th place but, we'll more than likely screw it up some how. Disappointed with today,, Isak was there but also absent, Barnes was disappointing as usual, expected more from him since we signed him,..
It is very simple and straight forward now....have to win last two games to finish 6th.
Don't think it's just about the Manure game. I don't have much positivity re the Brentford game neither. This game at home had to be 3 points. Will still keep the faith. HWTL xx
I agree. Brighton was the easiest of our final 3 games and we blew it. Manure at old Twatford is still a big ask even if they were well beaten last time out v Palace. Manure play abysmally one game and then win the next. Same as us this season. Brentford away on the final day has a 1-1 or 1-0 to Brentford written all over it. I’m afraid we’ve blown even the Europa tinpot conference.
To be honest I think they played well they just werent clinical enough in the box Livermento couldn’t buy a pass in the box . Great to see Joelinton back and great to see a deep bench . I hope we don’t loose any studs in the off-season I feel like they can do damage next year .

I'd be surprised if Pope starts tho..and to some extent,im not really bothered who is in goals Wednesday, despite our lack of confidence in Dubravka commanding his area.
Im just not sure how confident Pope would be in a game of significance after a lengthy spell on the sidelines tbh
Im really pleased for Lewis Hall tho,he's beginning to establish himself as a squad player rather than just an extra mouth to feed at the training ground.

It’s up to us to get maximum points to reach our goal; yeah we missed it today but it’s still not the end of the world. Somehow the result is fair but we have to learn from it for the final two games.
And expected the comfortable result? I think lots of our fans disrespected Brighton too much.

I think we underestimated them tbf and we didnt fire but they also where pretty good it happens, but Isak was awol thats why we need another 2 just in case it happens and it does ... but our defence and attack so remind me of King Kev times we create chances, attack but cant defend for shyte

I was a bit annoyed with today if I'm honest. We're supposed to be going for a European place not playing for pride. It's still in our hands, but we need to be more ruthless in these last two games.
There are only 2 Paraguayans playing in the premier league, yesterday they both got booked for diving, in the same match

I am not too hopeful of getting sixth place tbh. Like you said, we are missing cutting edge, but we won't be getting that until the Summer transfer window.
I was at the game and i still have never seen them lose live, but this draw felt like a loss. Poor final ball and positioning beyond the equaliser from longy, who dragged us out of the fire yesterday and showed his better side.
There is a Europa league slot at stake. what does it actually take to motivate these players?

Keeping Dubs makes a bit of sense. BecUse even though he's crap, he's crap that we're used to playing with. Put Pope in, and he might come flying out to cleat a ball and get tangled up with BDB who is used to rushing in to clear.
It was a frustrating game, they sat deep with no intention if attacking very much. Secured the 1 goal, and wanted to defend that. We really struggle with the low block, we need Wilson to break through a low block.

Chelsea win coming back from a goal down with less than 20 minutes to play away from home. Level on points with us. Meanwhile our passengers just lumbered around and threw away the match. It would be hilarious when we lose the European place. Chelsea will finish 6th now. We will not beat united at Old Trafford and they still have the FA cup final to take Europa league spot which would dump us out of Europe all together. Well done lads, absolute great season. /s

Yes very frustrating today we where lucky to get a draw today but we managed to get a point but still did not do enough in s/h yes chealse are on same points but we stay 6th on goal difference let’s hope the gunners do us a favour because we definitely need 3 points on Wednesday night for me

We were like 11 strangers on the pitch today, only good performance was from `Lewis Hall, passing incompletion was the normal even from Gordon. Given the performance I am content with a point.
Looked nervous and final ball was awful. Funnily enough, I had a feeling we'd come up short today but I think we'll win the last two which will be enough to finish 6th.
Very disappointed, but it's still hopefully, a top 10 finish.
It would be crazy if 5th to 8th place will all have 63 points each and will be decided by goal difference
I love players like Joelinton Bruno Gordon Miley.
I cannot stand players like Almiron Murphy Longstaff Willock there just not consistent enough and 75% of their performances have been shocking they've cost us so many points this season.
Forget 5th, honestly just hoping we hold on to at least 7th coz we could just bottle it now.

Ref was horrendous but that being said, we ultimately have ourselves to blame. Our passing was sloppy as per usual, we had no clinical edge upfront. Our wingers couldn’t put in a decent cross; Jacob Murphy is a championship player There was a lot of huff n’ puff but few opportunities created. Gordon played out of his skin. Dan Burn had a good game. Bruno was awful today. Isak looked uninterested. The situation with Callum Wilson is beyond a joke now. Miggy is a waste of time and needs gone asap from this club.
this is what happens when you only have one or no fit strikers available week after week. some achievement to score 79 PL goals.

If pope is fit, he should play. If not fit, he should not be risked / even on the bench. Howe continues to play Dubravka. Seems to be blind.
Pay close attention to who showed up for this game and the next two. Players who win things show up in big games and get themselves over the line. We'll never win anything with players that bottle it.
The weather may have been a factor, our high press game seemed to tire players in that heat but no big excuse, but Brighton played well tbf

Has no-one else noticed that until two seasons ago, premiership players rarely missed games due to "illness". What's going on here, it looks to me like nowadays, premiership players can just take a sickie whenever they feel like it and this is apparently acceptable to the club paying them a lot of money to actually play. There was definitely an element of "on the beach" football from us & we were worth no more than the draw today. No urgency, no commitment & a lot of going through the motions. I thought the introduction of Almiron might raise the pace a bit but all we got was an embarrassing dive. Some decent performances by a few but in all a very average display from the lads.
Still need a couple players at next level, why was Wilson not involved?
This was exactly what I was expecting. But I had hoped it would be a comfortable win. Sigh.

Good moments but could carve any good chances, let's go again and hammer man utd and show them we are not letting them have a European place because of who they are we are up around the top6 to stay
Brighton came with a game plan - park the bus and counter. They played out of their socks in all fairness...all kudos to our guys...
Yeah i'd start j7 over anderson. not too sure about anderson imo. he doesn't seem to have the awareness for hall and/or gordon who make great overlapping runs
Dubs has to go. Three times in the first half gordon and hall in acres of space screening and waving but he did not look up and passed it out to the right was so predictable. Bruno needs to take the simple ball sometimes over plays the ball and loses it. Was upset as him overplaying caused him to lose the ball which led to the corner from which Brighton scored. Hall pass around the fullback that lead to the goal was just class. Some of the passes he made to release gordon and anderson were sheer class. As you said we lacked that cutting edge and isak was limping towards end of first half as though he wasn't 100% which may explain things
Surprising how flat we seemed, just a lack of tempo or something just wasn't right. Brighton huffed and puffed but we should've really taken the game by the scruff of the neck. Murphy wasn't great should be left out for Man U. Big big big game on Wednesday. Trips and Barnes on right be great to see

We don't want to be in Europe is what the problem is. We not that good yet. I know we beat psg 4 -1 but we struggled in Europe..we need to concentrate on the league and maybe the cups before we think about Europe I think anyway.

Lewis Hall man of the match. Gordon was brilliant as per, Bruno and Krafth were good too. Apart from that it was not a particularly exciting afternoon tbh. Frustrating

We need to keep longstaff im pretty sure if you ask Bruno he’ll say the same. Bruno is a much better player when longsaff is doing all the dirty work. HWTL .
With cheatski winning vital you beat man shit utd and Brentford you have superior goal difference tho. Watched highlights and the disallowed goal Gordon was in an offside position in 1st phase but didn't appear to me to go towards ball and the angle that sky had showed when ball was played to him for tap in he was actually behind the ball I've seen many times here and in Europe those being given as goals. Need to put this one behind you and get 6 pts from last 2 games now if spurs lose their 2 you can take 5th on goal difference I think

Isak needs to be taught to play like wilson every time a ball came in he was never their in the middle to tap crosses in and dubs in goal isnt good he doesnt come out for crosses that alone makes us extreamly vunerable to set peices so pope has to come in, also Eddie howe's system is to risky without pope in goal pressing man to man without a sweeper keeper is basically just asking for a run in behind
im tired of saying it...this team will always disappoint us whenever we need a result! in a way its good its better for a more reliable team to fight for european spot , even if we get it we will never be elite enough to value it! isak wasnt well today we could clear see it but what about the others?

Sick of seeing players like Longstaff and Almiron diving when they are through on goal. Total bottlers, wanting to dive instead of going through on goal and shooting. Almiron needs flogging in the window, and Longstaff (who always dives) needs flogging as well. I have no idea why Eddy does not tell them to stop doing it, maybe he is telling them to do it, who knows, I just know its embarrassing.
To me the game was OK but the manager should said come on boys give it all because there's only 2 games left and Manu & Chelsea are after our position 6th position for UFAE CUP next season On Wednesday 15 may the toon have to win against Manu infact the have too win the last 2 games of the season to qualify for UFAE cup Gateshead who are in the National League won FA CUP at wembley to day its putting the toon to shame
Cmon Longstaff is bang average except for the goal and the 100 million for Bruno is safe ...he was disappointing for the " champion " he is .
"Minging" Almiron is a 60k a week consistently inconsistent smiler. Get him sold to S. Arabia fast. Looks more like Conny League at this stage. Dúbravka has failed miserably to claim and hold the number 1 pair of gloves. No wonder Utd send him right back to us.
