I feel like this is exactly what many reverts, especially women fear. Because women have to make an obvious change in their appearance. They fear being judged by everyone. By their non muslim friends and family for being brainwashed. By muslims for not being sincere, having done many sins, maybe even publically, not doing everything right, like attire, prayers, this that and everything. Even for me it was a gradual improvement over 3 or 4 years til I got to a point now where I can say, I feel like I could die and not be absolutely lost in hellfire, inshallah. But it was a hard path for me to get out of the stuff I did so far. And it wasnt even as bad as many of these public people. So I can only imagine how hard it is for them. I wish we could just be more unprejudiced towards these people and not be another emotional burden on them.
