Ohayou gozaimasu dave, I'm in tears after watching videos of geisha geikos and maikos on your channel, don't worry I'm not upset I'm overwhelmed with the true beauty of these truly beautiful women and of their work, I went to Japan nearly 4 years ago and am going back in 3 years time. I feel hugely honoured to have experienced a tea ceremony and yes I cried because it was such an honour, I know geisha are a rarity but I feel totally blessed when you livestream when geisha are around, I myself follow a former geisha kimono mom
Thank you for your heartfelt reply, Mrs. Viking. I was so happy to read how moving it was to you. It is messages like these that make me appreciate the experiences I have here so much more and I am so glad I captured it so you could see it. I don't know if you've seen the other video with the geiko and maiko in black kimono but if you haven't please don't miss that. It is just as if not even more stunning than this. Thank you for watching!
Such beauty. The second performance was definitely more nuanced and theatrical. Both incredible to watch. Only a higher res vid and less clicking and clacking could improve the experience. Thanks.
The proprietors of the geisha house should ban photography and take one HD video of the performance that customers can purchase. The camera clicks are a gross intrusion on this elegant, low-key performance.
I don't know if i'm perhaps overthinking, but at 5:34 when the fan is dropped, it seems to be both parallel and equidistant to the lines on the floor. I've never seen one of these performances, the best i can describe it as, is like a moving picture, even the nature in the background is a part of it. Thanks for this, really interesting :)
Gion Taotei is a place in Gion where you can interact with them. It’s made for tourists. If you want something more private it will cost a lot more money but if you simply Google Geiko Kyoto meet I’m sure you’ll get lots of hits.
Depressing and creepy??? 😂 No it’s storytelling in music and dance form. Some dances are sad 😢, but the music is rarely fast paced. This style is all about art, beauty, grace and elegance. They are in tuned with nature (water, trees, birds, and flowers 🌸).
The camera clicks kinda kill the vibe. Very beautiful.
@@JimBarcelona That's an amazing saying!
Katsuna-san😭😭❤️❤️ I miss her so much! I hope she's happy now though, but we all must admit katsuna's dance when a maiko was iconic
She was fantastic!
It's wonderful to see this knowing I could not ever witness such a performance in person, thank you for bringing this to our homes and stay safe!
It’s my pleasure! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Katsuna san is easily the best dancer I have ever seen. She was breathtaking.
Agreed! She was fantastic!
How beautiful they are!😍❤️🌸
Wow, an (another) Geisha dance art video, finally!
Thank you Dave, I really appreciate these videos.
I’m glad you enjoy these! I found this on my phone. It’s a little old but worth posting for sure.
Thank you for sharing Dave, very nice performance.
Thanks, Ken.

Daveさんステキな映像ありがとう
私は勝奈さんとまめ藤さんを見て舞妓さんを好きになったのでとてもうれしいです👍
勝奈さんを見てるとうれしくて涙が出てきます😂コイもよろこんでますね🐟😄
Katsuna is good at dancing and is the most beautiful😊
Haha, the koi are happy to Katsuna too. She is a very pretty lady, isn’t she.
Good stuff Dave. 👏👏
Thanks for watching, John!

Although I am not certain, I think you are absolutely right with that observation about the fan
雅で艶やかですね‼️❤
舞妓さん芸妓さんの歌舞音曲や礼儀作法文化が繁栄継承されます様に‼️❤
They are both geiko. Neither of them have long sleeves nor the ornate make up and hair pins.
😍
can someone share how we can meet them?

Where is katsuna san now?
We were married just last week.
@@DaveinOsaka im jealous rigth now!!!
You can hear de camara!!!
Ridiculous!
気持ちは分かるけど、シャッター音うるさ過ぎると思う。さすがに台無しになる。
So depressing and creepy..And what kind of music is it..?!
They did Three Little Birds by Bob Marley right after this song. It really brightened the mood.
Depressing and creepy??? 😂
