This why you're my favorite N content creator. I'm buying a 8th gen civic from a Hyundai tech and he told me exactly what you're saying. The main thing he emphasized was that even during routine maintenance they will take pictures and add them to your file. Down the road it can come back to bite you. Hyundai techs are looking for every reason to avoid warranty work. Hyundai only pays the dealership at like 40% the normal rate for warranty work, nobody at the dealership wants to take that loss.
Thanks for the information bro. I was getting some body work done from another shop before getting a new engine from hyundai. It took 8 months for the engine.. 8 months. 2 rebuild engines and 3 new turbos. They finally approved a new engine..
They will void your warranty on an air intake before a filter oil or air from the aftermarket. They still have to prove it but it depends on the dealer. Great video!
I blew my 400hp on 06 Subaru STI, i had extended warranty and took off all aftermarket parts that weren't STI retuned to stock and got a brand new motor at 58k miles covered from the extended warranty. I had purchased it for an additional like 2500 bucks, 6 years to 60k bumper to bumper, drove it like i stole it daily definitely worth it.
They cant void your warranty. They actually have to prove it that mods caused whatever problems you have. I only know this because i went through this with dodge for a blown engine. Took a little bit , but they couldn't prove it , so had to replace the engine.
Hi I have a question. Gonna get maintec catless downpipe. Was wondering how bad the drone is and how obnoxious it is. Also is it smelly? And is it worth it to save 300-400 bucks not getting a catted downpipe? Thanks!!
Don't do easy stuff at a dealer, do your own oil changes or get them done 3rd party so you can keep all your mods and not have to keep taking them off. Go to dealer for warranty issues only, and at that point revert to stock before going.
So on my last oil change I noticed after the fact. That my paperwork had Customer requested 0W20 . What’s up with that? Is there a campaign to change it that I’m not aware of , cause I damn sure didn’t request that! I don’t want to start any shit as I didn’t purchase it there and I feel as I’m not a welcome customer as they never give me a survey afterwards.
A tune is the only mod I'm even looking at for my 24' EN, just a basic tune can unlock so much power on these cars and I was worried about warranty. Do you know if tunes for 2024 ENs' are even available yet? (Also looking at a HK1 to flash the existing ECU) Thanks man!
Hey brother I have 2024 6spd I believe the dct is still a great choice but it's all about preference test drive em both and see what's you like better brother I prefer the 6spd. The dct is. Absolutely great choice as well.
Neither Hyundai or any manufacturer can void your warranty because the oil filter you use, the oil brand you use, the air filter you use... unless. They are going to give them to you for FREE!! There are laws that protect you..
Basically, you're telling guys to not take accountability for their actions. Put yourself on the business side, you deliver them a fine product (that's already priced reasonably) with specific warranty specifications set by the engineers who built the car, the halfwit tampers with it beyond the specified technical limits, breaks it and has the audacity and entitlement to badmouth me online and expect me to pay for his stupidity.
I’m looking at a forge intake that comes with inlet and recirculating valve, how much of a issue can that actually bring, would I 100% need to take it off and replace it back to stock if a major issue came with my car or is it unlikely something that little can really have them deny the claim
Don't do it! The forge inlet elbow has been known to crack, split, flex and deteriorate after use. I got pictures from a couple of folks with them and it's issues as proof.

If Hyundai has an issue with an oil filter not being OEM. They will have a serious issue with my lawyer. Money shifting isn’t covered under warranty. They can tell by looking at the ecu.
I had a fuel injector go out and I have an Intake Catch can and BOV and they covered my work! I have a 22 VN DCT
Planning on Doing Mods on my Kona N and was definitely looking for this info, thanks man!
Glad I could help!
You’re a GOAT for reverting your engine bay back to OEM just for this video. That’s some dedication right there. Nice video brotha

WYM revert? it's always been stock never modified 😉

So that's why it takes forever to do warranty work.
Yup crazy but true ,try to do service yourself or somewhere else only use the warranty when it's something costly
They can also tell if you've been to tracks so disable your GPS if possible

My subie motor took like 4 months luckily that extended warranty gave me a loaner that I had to kinda fight for to keep for that whole time
No problem 👍

I swear this video was made specifically for me 😂 Great video… this video right here is Hyundai service worse nightmare
Should make a video on the difference of snow performance vs AEM! I have my AEM coming in the mail soon backordered!

Hyundai is weird with oil they only want to give the 5w30 blend
Do i have to use the Jb4 for my hyundai or can i use cheaper tunes they offer like the stage 1 Tunes for the bmw cars?
My cambers aren’t aligned properly will the warranty cover it?
And if I don’t get oil changes done from Hyundai will it cause a problem?
You gotta get the Double Secret Warranty
Ohhh tell me about thiss
So should I be taking everything off before an oil change or only if I go in for warranty engine work currently I have an inlet intake and bov
do these apply to the Kia K5? I assume so because their warranty model is quite similar
Where do you recommend getting a MIL Eliminator? I'm looking to install an XForce downpipe on my '24 Nline. Thank you for the video!
There is a j bend defouler that works great 30 bucks

i like those shades, do you have a link?

What about when the dealership logs though the logs and see higher boost etc. Or if you swap the ecu out they see the mileage is different
Mileage is stored on the gauge cluster not the ECU.
I'm sure there is some safety that is saved.
