The only time I've used pizza cutter was to break that 9999 hp wall in Volcano Manor. Still I'm sure this weapon is fun to invade with
I love how they put it in volcano manor too lmao
What's behind the wall???!
@@JoseSouls it was one of the rooms that you could access without breaking the wall. They also patched it I think, so it wasn't even a secret
@@EDriGOdd Ahm ok I was thinking in dirty secrets jajajjaa interesting bro!
@@JoseSouls If I recall correctly, before release, they wanted to remove the illusory walls that ended having lots of HP, but the way they did it was trying, and failing, to make them indestructible, so they finally patched did a few updates ago by making them truly indestructible
"I want the whirligig saw!"
"We have the whirligig saw at home."
while arguably not effective in pvp (as the whole weapon is lol) the heavy attacks leave the wheel spinning during recovery, and the one handed will leave the wheel right under anyone it hits. Additionally, these spins count as consecutive hits, so you can proc Rotten Winged, Millicent's & Thorny Cracked off the heavy which is boosted by Axe talisman and Cracked Tear.
It's basically Marias' Executioner Sword with bleed
It’s strange not to show the normal moveset when the 1H charged R2 is arguably the strongest attack it has. It does big charged R2 damage but it also grinds opponents up for a while, leading to an almost guaranteed bleed proc on top of it. Perfect for ambushes, trades, and ladder knockdowns.
Yeah I thought it was weird for Lost not to at least mention how the charged R2's differ from other colossal weapons
R2 best bleed. The bleed does not proc with the L2 held.
@@ShuToshio L2 does proc, just much slower than the R2. but the R2 is a bit harder to land so there is some trade off
I read some days ago that it has double the innate poise of regular Colossals R2s, meaning that it has 200 innate poise. I don't know what the hell happened there.
7:20 - Vincent Valentine is one of the party members you get in Final Fantasy 7, though it's a fair bit after Barrett, Tifa, Aerith, etc. so I wager he's not as well known. The man wears black with a red cloak and uses guns + Materia magic to fight like Barrett does, so I'd say that Drake Knight Armor and the Pulley Crossbow does a good job of the cosplay. The only thing that doesn't add up to me is the Reduvia? Maybe its weapon skill is supposed to be one of his Limit Breaks but, in terms of actual weapons the only thing he has in melee is that claw gauntlet thing and I feel like Spiked Caestus or Hookclaws in the off hand would do a better job of that (maybe he gets a shank at some point and I'm forgetting.)
Ghiza's Wheel! - While it doesn't have the highest raw damage, it is pure physical and not subject to split damage's usual flaw of doubled-up flat defenses. It also _does_ have one of the longest reaches of any colossal weapon, only behind Fallingstar Beast Jaw and the Golem's Halberd (that is, it's significantly longer than other Colossals besides those.) It is also buffable, whether that be with Holy Grease to punch through Fingerprint Shields more effectively, Blood Grease to proc Bleed buildup more quickly, etc. And the multi-hit nature of the Weapon Skill lets you apply your extra damage/status buildup a lot more quickly than even a dagger would, let alone any other Colossal.
All things considered, while still definitely more of a PvE weapon it's still plenty fun and can put in good work in invasions if you're smart about picking your fight. As I mentioned on the FSJ vid, my personal favorite is powerstancing this with the Beast Jaw so that I have a ranged option when I need it, putting that 20 Intelligence investment to use for the Wheel with Scholar's Armament, buffing it up with Magic damage without having to spend any farmed resource on it.
The vincent valentine is me. I do have the big gun aswell as faith magic, but in here I didn't battle very well as I barely play anymore and reduva is just a choice I picked for close range it's not a weapon for him. I usually watch my friend fight and a side help if theres two people. I also am not very good at battling as he is and didn't expect that wheel to poise me for some reason and barely had sleep that morning as im from the u.s
Wait it's buffable?
It was last I checked, certainly. And I've seen it buffed before when people have swung it at my face.
Addendum:
So
I went and tested it. I have very distinct memories of buffing it both myself and seeing other people do so, and not just with Vyke's Dragonbolt or some other similar body buff, but uh
No. As of time of testing anyways, no you can't buff Ghiza's Wheel with anything.
I don't know if I've been gaslit, or dropped in from some other reality or whatever the hell, but uh. Sorry for apparently spreading misinformation.
@@vogunBurgundy oh that's a bummer, I remember trying to use Vyke's Dragonbolt to pump my damage up a little with it on my STR/FTH build but having to swap away from the weapon to only apply the body buff , and swap back. I was hoping that had changed 😭
9:20 He already has 😭
If I'm not mistaken, the wheel's heavy attack also has the unique trait that it's hit box is still active around the spinning cutter after the swing ends. If you aim it right you can probably sneak in a bleed proc or catch them thinking they can move in.
The startup animation on the Ash of War is actually my favorite part of this weapon lol. I just think it looks really cool.
Makes sense too, the one in bloodborne had mechanisms for it to start right away because it’s in a era where those exist and most trick weapons have some sort of automated mechanism, but in elden ring, it’s just a spiked wheel attached to a stick, so it needs to be ran against the ground for it to get a good spin going.
Also gotta be glad they didn’t make it a temporary spin, it can spin for as long as you have the fp for it
this weapon needs to have a way faster startup on the weapon art and needs to be affected by more damage on successive attacks buffs
Use the cranial vessel candlestand, amazing for invasions and hella fun, a head on a stick explodind in flames that one shots and has hyperarmor
My brain gets all clogged up with gunk every time I hear Breath of the Wild music as the intro to an Elden Ring video. It causes a mental disconnect that discombobulates me something fierce.
It's an ancient Italian weapon used to hunt pizza in the wild.
The sad part is how the blood buildup either doesn't work, or has reduced effect during the L2, however, it's better to use a charged R2 for bleed buildup, still rotates the pizzacutter, and does proper bleed. Probably better for PvE though.
The guy at 5:30 controller probably died, I could feel his internal screaming 😂
The Bloodborne weapon to which this is referential is the Whirligig Saw. Not only is it faster and extremely versatile, but it is the most powerful and useful Strength scaling weapon in that game.
One thing the Whirligig Saw can do that this weapon can't is that you can apply buffs to the saw, and then every tick of damage from the "pizza cutter" attack applies full buff damage rapidly.
@L_O_W_K_E_Y-G Yes. I've used the weapon a lot and I'm amazed at how versatile it is.
Guys i think he might actually be Lost
A
Also this weapon is Spain without the a
Mom can we have whirligig saw?
No honey we got whirligig saw at home.
Whirligig saw at home:
Vincent valentine apparently is a character from Final Fantasy; I thought it was the contact killer, played by Tom Cruise, from Collateral
🤣 🤣 that opening invasion was perfect
As a Colossal Weapons main, I am satisfied.
How does one get good with colossal weapons
@@rudalph529 By esentialy finding the most optimal way of using the different moves of the weapon in conjuction to some off-hand weapons and/or by learning how to use the best AOW avilable to their fullest potential.
As a baseline, the whole gimmick of Colossals is that you can poise through most attacks in the game excluding jumping R2s and some AOW, this is possible because the innate poise values of the Colossal weapon class are about 50 to 100 innate poise and when you combine this fact with the use of Bullgoat’s Talisman then you get a monstruosity that can crank values up to 130 to 180 max poise depending on how much armor poise you’re carrying, this is something that is almost impossible to poise break under regular circumstances, you can’t even break it with UGS pokes.
Given that fact, its up to the Colossal enjoyers to find the technical information to make the best use out of this particular property, or to bypass the process of trading and learn other skills that allow you to get an even better way of dealing damage, for example, two mothns ago I discovered a way of turning Storm Stomp AOW into a true combo with the Colossal, meaning that I found the potential of dealing between 600 to 1300 damage on one to two swings, this allowed me to compete against more experienced players since now I have a mix up to use whenever I have priority in melee because with a single panic roll from my target I could delete someone’s healthbar from 100% to 40% in a blink depending on how much do I keep the vortex.
For the start up honestly instead of pulling back, just have it so you make a WIDE V shape, push onto the ground to start the whinned up the pull up to draw the V it would keep the gimmicky "Bayblade let it rip" but also be faster.
Ahh the pizza cutter, always in my heart ❤️
Bloody hell! That first clip with the frenzy xD
Weird, I could've sworn I smelled pizza when the skill was being used
7:40 Vincent valentine is from final fantasy 7
This weapon is a "knowledge Check"
0:59 hu-humongus?
I'm glad someone else has been enjoying our favorite chainsaw other than me lately
7:11 is me and my friend. I'm the vincent valentine 🤣 haven't played in awhile. He told me after you killed me that you were a youtuber and today he sent this video to me.
Lots of love for these weapon showcases!
Could you do a episode for the warhawk talon - short sword
Hi Lost! What mix are you using for your physick?
I'm powerstancing this thing and i absolutely love it
Hmmm yes I have always wanted to use the doom chainsaw in a souls game
Can you imagine?
Full bull goat, Bloodborne style, pizza cutter gank squads..
Do it
I love your videos lost, best invader ever.
Vincent Valentine is from Final Fantasy 7
Used the saw for ages on my build and it was glorious
how to fix the wheel: get two of them
call it what it IS, ITS THE WHIRLYGIG SAW FROM BLOODBORNE
Probably one of the more underrated weapons in the game. Lotta people underestimate it when I invade, and the poise during the rev-up is fucking disgusting. 😂
It was honestly more fun when you provided commentary _whilst_ playing. All the annoying Twitch stuff got in the way a bit, sure, but I'd still rather get to hear you taunting your foe in real-time when it comes to invasions than listen to you narrate what's happening after the fact; after all, I am watching the same thing you are. I can see for myself what's going on. I mean no offense; I like your videos but I think the old way was much better.
I am also just a fan of the cartoon villain being made reality. Mustache twirling menace
Lost you should do a weapon spotlight on the axe of godrick (not Godfrey), it is strong in the ways of fashion and has a cool AoW
@Charles Hastings that’s axe of godFREY, axe of godrick is the golden one used by the handy man, but axe of Godfrey would be cool too, especially considering he used a colossal weapon in the last spotlight
@Charles Hastings yeah it is cool af
Forefathers one and all, BEAR WITNESS!
Love the pizza cutter in both Bloodborne and Elden Ring
I wis the pizza cutter was a greayhammer, more like the whirligig
I used it on mohg when he was nihiling and of I had my arc up, I would of been assured death would reach him
ALL PRAISE THE PIZZA CUTTER
look it is my favorite weapon, other than the funny lightning bolt
If your goal is to cut someone to death, use the lead perfume with the L2. It's way to easy to hit someone out of GW's tremendously large start up time. People hitting you will bounce off of you and give more slice and dice time
So majestic
Vincent is afinal fantasy charicter.
Jajajajajajajjajajajaja this videos and your unique crazy narration makes me happy. Thank you!
I love using this in Bloodborne
Vincent from Castlevania
I've been meaning to use this but I never got the opportunity
We need to make this weapon ash of war faster
Comparing it to whirlgig is kinda harsh, whirlgig is much smaller & better, making this thing at least bit faster & poise increase is good enough
A wonderful video
Why’d she move her head like she’s Stewie 😭she’s mad pressed
I honestly wish it had a unique moveset if you had two of them but dreams will be dreams
really disappointing that the weapon ability doesn't proc rotten winged sword or prosthesis
Pretty sure it’s charged heavy attacks do
where do u invade from i know u have it as near and far but where do u put down the bloddy finger?
THE PIZZA CUTTER IT'S STRONGER!!!
Looks great for guard breaking Shields.
use lords aid more often, very useful
wish there was a weapon of the other abductor virgins, Ghizas Sickle, weapon art shoots out the sickle blade then drags it back
First time using the Whirly-gigsaw? Welcome to the Hunter's guild, fellow Huuunter.
Definitely when I buy elden ring, this weapon will be my main target
It’s mid game from an invasion at volcano manor, good luck mate
You should do the bloody hellice
It looked cooler in Bloodborne but honestly, am not complaining I love weird tech weapons like this
fromsoft brought pizza-cutter back but at what price?
Hmm
It does seem to work sometimes and its pretty good when it works... Would it be better dual wielded?
Fallout 4 reference
Lost you should try Serpent-Hunter great spear, I think baiting people and dealing 2000 dmg fits you 😀
Prod made vid about it
I love you Lost senpia!!!!
you forgot to put weapon spotlight in the title
I love this weapon so much
This guy has got SLUCH
But the dumbest weapon in general is this huge candle holder I found. My guys just running around with a candle stand smacking everything silly
(I wonder why it's not an automatic spinning wheel of death)
Vincent valentine ff7 playable character
Just realized ghiza rhymes with pizza 🍕 🤯
the DUmbest weapon in eldenring XDD
wait we're playing bloodborne now?
Lost please Vincent Valentine is ff7 cloud friend with fire arms
Alguien sabe cual es la mezcla de si frasco en el minuto 5:15?
Does that infinite stun lock?
If only it spun on every attack but did less from the spins
best weapon in the game
0:16 have you been found yet
What is the name of chest armor?
This thing is a subpar bootleg of the Whirligig Saw from Bloodborne which was legitimately one of the best weapons in any Fromsoft game. So disappointing. 😔
This is my favorite weapon and I don't care how bad it is
First!! By yours truly the big African
pizza cutter is NOT good due to his pizza hut abilty .... no the 1 hand r2 is really awesome cuz it does the same ... just without fp cost and not that huge windup
About time, I've been saying for months to use this weapon.
-
How about read the comments.
2nd add on comment -
You said the swing attack is a standard boring attack or something ?
- Maybe it is, But it will break the poise stance of almost any Character in ER.
- I used the pizza cutter for 75% of the game and it's awesome.
Pizza time
Can you do my butterfly wings?
I like to dual wield Atral Wings as the attack kinda feel like flying
come on you could at least have mentioned the spin on the heavy attacks
Weird cause not one single player I invade is as bad as all of these players are in this video, when I invade into a world I’m dealing with players that are worse than CoD sweats over here 😂😂😂 How??
Chainsaw man
brodern er norsk!
