I used to not do exercise when I was tired and overwhelmed with work. I thought if I was tired, going running or riding was silly. But I was wrong. I always feel better long term when I’ve been out. I sleep better and feel better. Well done for getting out.
Dave you do too much. Take time for yourself . Chill ,ride and eat well. You will find a balance . Winters approaching soon so won't be able to ride so much. More time with your adoption life. Keep vlogging as we all love them . Movement is medicine and mindfulness is everything.

You don’t owe us anything, so if you need a ride and can’t face giving yourself more work with a vlog, just just enjoy the ride! 👌🏻 As a fellow ADHD sufferer though, I feel your burnout comments so hard! I’m constantly craving stimulation but than at the drop of a hat I can very quickly become over stimulated and everything’s too much! Just need to take some time to chill at that point. We’re both lucky we’ve got cycling as an outlet then. Ride on, brother. 💪🏻
I think part of the problem is I like to film and ride but it also makes more work which I also enjoy…but then there’s no actual downtime…guess this vlog was a vent and rant but I’m not going to change anything 😂
Burnout for me was in some parts due to my bike computer and strava and pushing everyday to match or improve my times, trouble is there's days when the legs weren't there and then depression sets in, also the rides became a bit of a bind. What fixed it was a month away from my computer & Strava and simply riding like I used to ride, no stats just going by how I felt, still pushing but in a better way.
Know how you’re feeling. Same with here with work, life, SM & even my love of cycling atm, no motivation for it . Getting into more long country walks at the moment but then I worry will I loose my fitness without cycling 🤯🤯 with having more of a break from the bike I’m hoping it will make the love return. Look after yourself, you’ve had a lot happening this year. Take care 🙌🏻
That’s just the way it is right? There’s always going to be burnout if we give 110% in things. Like you say having the break is good. I also work about fitness but then I’m not racing so what am I actually worrying about? Wishing you all the best. SM is a bit of a joke these days…it’s all such bs and impression farming. I’m 43 and can’t be arsed to play that game. I’ll use it to share what I’m up to…but like you I’m feeling fed up with it.

Im no pro but definitely got burnt out with Hills in my neighborhood and the heatwave plus im at 5200 ft. Bought indoor cycle so i can do both. Outdoor Cycling is hard to keep consistent and burn calories unless you're biking many miles without interruption
