For people that can't beat the figure, stay crouched the whole time is the main tip, I would recommend not to look in drawers while doing him because then he will know where you are and come after you. When he comes near you, find a flower or a spot where it's off the carpet path, also if you go upstairs and go to your left go inside the space of the bookshelves for a crooked couch you can hide behind, I would recommend keeping your distance! If you want to risk getting him stuck, to for it but good f luck! Listen for sparkling sounds, follow it to get one of the books for the code, if you can't understand the note on the desk, it's saying the order of the shapes numbers, that's a huge but for you!
Some things new in the update 1. You can no longer do the figure skip, since the hitbox increase 2. Looting now is actually a good thing to do since you can get things such as the crucifix, more good items and the skull key, granting inf regen, very useful for the greenhouse. 3. Lockpicks are best to save till door 100 so you can lockpick the breaker room door and skip an entire sequence with 1 and rift the rest
@RainyYT I mean figure doesn't go down slowly, lmao imagine if people used a script to change the animation and he FELL down the stairs, I can imagine that lol
Honestly, I always get myself anxious whenever the lights flicker, but it's a Seek chase instead of a Rush or Ambush. Still a mistake I keep making to this day. I also just jump the closet when I see Figure coming towards me and it gets me killed a lot.
My suggestion is to stay as far away from figure at all times and don’t use the closets so you don’t have to do the mini game unless he knows where you are then probably get in one 👍
My list of things noobs do (hotel update) 1. Try to collect lots of gold because it will have a use later on in door 52. 2. Please preserve the candle until door 90-98, and don’t use it as a light source. 3. I figured out that you don’t actually have to remain crouched, when Figure is on the second floor, you can stand up and run faster. Just remember to crouch again when Figure returns. 4. I actually know how to spot screech before they make the psst sound, remember what I said about the candle. 5. Use the candle to check if any entities are coming. 6. After reading tip no.1 your first instinct might be to check every drawer, right? Wrong. You can find gold on top of the desks now. 7. Continuing from no.6 you can still loot drawers if you want. Just don’t loot too much, because… 🕷️ 8. Yep, you can lose health from Timothy. And you will find a bandage instead of an item. 9. You cannot do the Door 100 skip now. Its now the hardest door in the game.
There's one very useful tip that was not mentioned here. As he said, you only hear the "psst" a few seconds after screech appears, however, the moment screech spawns, there's a quiet static noise. This is a much safer cue than listening for the "psst" because you have much more time to react.
The Halt method he says is extremely wrong, and he probably wasn’t told how speedrunners actually do it. The way Halt works is that Halt sees your position. When it decides when it wants to attack, it sees your position and walks to it. The thing is, Halt cannot move past that position. Basically, just move a little back when Halt appears in front of you. Edit: BROOO PLZ STOP I DIDNT WANT A WAR
Pro tips: The classic 'missing' 8th book in Door 50 probably screws many games over because it cannot be found somehow and is always the last number you need. The tip here is to guess the last number instead, you don't need the 8th book to get past the Library's lock. Just be careful when figure goes up the stairs.
exactly, sometimes i seem to find all of the books and do the code easily, but sometimes me nor my teammates can't find the last book so we have to guess it one by one picking random numbers in order to get past
Tip 1: You can actually prevent using lighter in dark rooms. When you find a dark room, just light the lighter to see how big the room is. If the room is big and there are many doors, use the lighters when you get lost. If the room is small, just stick to the walls until you find the door. Another thing, if the room is small but dupe is behind one door , use the lighter to see the door number before entering. Tip 2: While running through seek 2.0 (the one that comes after door 50), NEVER check the drawers. Seek is faster after door 50 and you will most likely die. Tip 3: Always save up your coins. If you are easily damaged, dont buy many things at the start. When you save the coins, go to jeffs shop after door 50 and buy the skull key. Open the skull door in the infirmary room and take the healing herb and give it to your friends if they are playing with you. Trust me, it helps a lot. Tip 4: If the lights flicker, dont hide immediately. (If you know what sound rush makes when he comes) When you hear the sound of rush coming and its a bit loud, then hide. Rush takes some time to come into the door you are in. If you hide immediately, the entity in the closet will most likely kick uou out for hiding too long and will lower your health.
For number 6, I find it more likely for the game to spawn vitamins in the large containers that spawn in rooms such as the office (the one with the glass windows) when you have lower health. While it's not fully optimal, it can help.
0:39 The thing is that lighters last very little, clearly not made to be used constantly. So you might aswell try to get a flashlight. It gives a tiny bit less visibility, but you have way more range, AND it lasts 5x longer AND its rechargable AND it doesnt go away when it runs out.
I always save my light sources for the greenhouse and nothing else. Sometimes for dark rooms such as at door 61 tho cuz it takes a while for me to find the switch. That’s it
@@I_know_where_you_live_25 here's a super pro tip on door 61, just open the door to 61 and go back to door 60 and then just wait for guiding light to show you the lever
doors: keep track of door numbers, use candles to help u, in rooms a crufiex (ik thats that not u spell it) and candles dont work/help, RUN in the door when opened in library, in library when figure comes and ur in the closet(thats what i call it) do the minigame to survive, dont stare at screech really quick you have to wait until he leaves, save ur useful items when u reach door 100 (u do it by going to this room and it will show this light and u will have to put in a item of choose, figure will roar when he detects movement. rooms: rooms comes by door 60-65 u need the skeletion key and 2 lockpicks, there are 3 entities i know, A-60 comes ofc at the 60th room there is a chance it will spawn early (has happened to me) A-60 is just like rush hop in a locker and ur safe, rooms do not have lights but when u hear like stomping i think, hop in a locker, keep track of the rooms that have lockers u may need to run in them, the exits that u will see lead to the normal game it doesnt mean u finishes rooms, rooms have 1000 rooms, A-200 is just like ambush he comes around many times, there is no hide in rooms so u can stay in there as long as u want, when A-90 comes u will need to let go if u move A-90 will take away 90-95 percent of ur health. tip:for A90 let go of everything, u will need practice bc ur basically trained to turn around tell me if i missed anything
For tip 5: Here is a fun fact, if you do the breaker mini-game flawlessly combined with a figure skip, you can actually leave the breaker room and get halfway up the elevator by the time figure realizes you started the breaker game and starts banging on the door. The door finally breaks when you're basically already in the elevator.
Tip for Halt: Halt will only spawn when there is too much light flickering. So if you see the lights flicker a VERY lot of times, don't worry, it's not Rush or Ambush. The room after or that room is just Halt. So don't hide. Edit: 1 didn't even know that you guys would even like once! Thanks! Edit 2: I'm totally not crying because I got more than 15 likes... Edit 3 : Merry Christmas guys! I got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. And thank for 25 likes!
yeah when the light flicker for 3 seconds i think its ambush, when its only for like 2 seconds i think its rush, but when it flicker for like 6 seconds its def halt
Once you collect enough books, figure changes his route. This should be learned carefully. There are plenty of hiding spots around the new route he will take. The new route also intercepts the code lock, and if he is upstairs on his new route, do the code lock FAST.
If you need tips I will give you some. 1: in door 100 before you open the door that Releases figure, open the power room to the left if you have lockpics. 2: big drawers have items most of the time, lock picks spawn the most. 3: when you are in the greenhouse, stay near closets and the try to watch where you're going. I hope these tips help
Here’s a tip for Figure, Screech, Rush and Seek. Figure, as already known, has a path finding script. It breaks its path finding when hearing players and changes to a lock-on-players script. Once caught or lost, Figure will reset to its path finding again. There are spots that its path does not take which is the door at the entrance, bookcases next to the entrance, right of the exit door and the very right side when going up the stairs. If you learn these blind spots, you can get past Figure whilst barely or completely skipping all the hiding you have to do. It’s recommended to only hide when your current situation is in SERIOUS danger (like if Figure heard you). Another tip is that Figure has a radius around him that actually is able to hear you walking. The length of that radius is unknown to me but is definitely around a medium or short distance. So if Figure seems to be far, that’s your time to search for as many books as you can for a brief period of time. There are some common problems of finding Screech. It will only appear behind, below and above. Do not tilt your view completely upwards or downwards. Only slightly check above and below to see where the tentacles are. But if you can’t do that then I suggest looking up first then looking down as Screech mostly appears above for me. It’s probably already commonly known but Rush, although sounding close, if your past like 2 rooms were short or your current room is large then hide as you normally would. Or you could take the risk and open the next door whilst Rush is heading towards you. If you have time, you can hide in the next room. If not then just hide in the current room after opening the door. This tip is extremely risky though so just be careful. This can help with getting rid of eyes in the next room quickly, checking what the next room may be and also sometimes disabling what might be another appearance of another entity or Rush again. Seek is pretty simple. You can easily become way more ahead of him by sticking to walls or barriers to quickly get around their edges and arriving to the doors faster. Also know that there is actually a lot of space in the small crawl spaces you crouch through. So you can press crouch early to quickly crawl through and not bump into anything or waste time. Edit: I completely forgot that this comment existed Also for Ambush, pretty much just do the same thing for Rush.
Bro figure can go up the stairs its when YOU go up there it adds the spot to its pathfind script! To get by this just hide beside the lock at the exit he will ignore you but he can get you if he's hunting your friend and your friend leads him to you.
As a avid doors enjoyer I can officially say that even though you don't have to hide from figure if you know his path it's sometimes fun to do the heartbeat mini game and it gives you practice with it.
Here's a tip for halt, if your speed running your gonna have to take a chunk of damage. You know halt is there when there is a long light flicker. When you go into the halt room go straight. Keep straight till halt damages you then use your pills to get the speed boost. 9/10 you will make it through before he spawns back Infront of you. If not then you will only have to ture around about 1 more time. Hope this is helpful!
Something that isn’t told is that if you have low health is that Your heartbeat is louder and it beats quicker making door 50 Alot Harder than if it would if you had full health
Something I see a lot of people do when they encounter Halt, is leaving the corridor and just going straight to the next door after leaving. Once you're out of Halt's hall, you can just turn back and enter it again, without worrying about dying. It will be perfectly safe once you exit it once; afterwards, you can get all the items in the various drawers inside the corridor.
Tip: if you don't have a lockpick for a dark locked room and don't know where the key is. Wait for the guiding light, but you may have to deal with Screech.
here is a screech tip Screech will likely spawn behind,at top or bottom if he doesn’t spawn in those locations he may be also spawning in the sides But he will never spawn up front. Also another tip about screech is that he can spawn even before the ‘psst’ sound and without even making the sound so I suggest check every 5-10 seconds
For number 8, you are also just risking losing health due to timothy. Timothy is rare, but if you loot, you are more likely to find timothy and lose hp. Even though he cannot kill you, remember that you don’t want plasters/band aids to spawn
Number 10 is actually NOT a mistake. Its only 50 knobs and it can be pretty reliable. Besides, lighters have about a 5-10% of spawning in a drawer and 75% to spawn in a covered desk. But yet, rooms with covered desks only have a 5% chance of generating when a door is open. And rooms have a 15% chance of being a dark room so buying a lighter is pretty good for the first 10-15 rooms. And plus I have gone through at least 18 runs without finding a single lighter. EDIT: Not thanking for likes, but I meant to say good for the first 20 or 25 rooms as it does have quite a bit of juice in it even when at half usage left. EDIT 2: I meant to say I have gone around 37 runs without finding a lighter. Sorry, it was a typo, completely my fault for not noticing it. EDIT 3: Thank you user "@Starlight" for pointing this out, as you are actually right. I have no idea why I said 3% as it more or less has a 5-10% of spawning in a drawer.
A neat trick for halt is to use the speed pills right after he forces you to go back. This will let you gain speed so that way you can get to the door faster and will save you some time.
Just to prevent a lot of easy deaths, I wanted everyone to know that the devs patched the figure skip. If you go up the stairs after the cutscene, figure will follow you despite whether it can hear you or not. Sad but true
3:06 heres something i call a mistake, non-speedrunners normally walk into dark rooms, but most of them dont know if you arent in it it gets lighter so you can see what you're walking into
on number 4, for screech, what ive noticed is that the screen "shivers" a little, as if the player can feel screech manifesting. its very useful especially if you have a flashlight and see the screen wiggle very quickly. very good for no audio runs 👍
Tips: when in a dark room, screech actually makes a slight static sound before the PSST, but it’s hard to hear, When doing the figure heartbeat mini game, you only have to do the first 2 heartbeats and then you can leave the cabinet, as figure will be stuck in the closet position for a few seconds. Only use this for emergencies as it doesn’t have a guaranteed success rate. Ambush actually doesn’t have a hitbox, if he sees you, you die. So if you get ambush and have the opportunity to hide behind a closet, or or out of sight take it. Rush hitbox gets bigger by each room you come through, after door 50, hiding in corners will probably not work, but vents still do.
Correction: Both Ambush and Rush have Ray-tracing Hitbox. In short, it means they have a regular hitbox, but once it hits a wall that isn't see-through (transparent) or walk-through (no collision), the hitbox's size will decrease. Of course, Ambush has a larger Ray-tracing Hitbox (or line of sight) than Rush. That's why you can't hide in corners from Ambush, but you can hide behind something from both.
When it comes to level 50, I crouch the entire time and keep an eye on the Figure so that I have a good distance from him and not run into him. I never use the closets. Then, whenever I need just one more book, I go straight to the lock at the door and try to guess what the last number is. It’s much easier and lowers the risk of getting killed. Then whenever the Figure comes up the stairs, I crouch in the corner by the door and wait until he goes back down. The “guess the last digit” method always works for me and once the door is open, I instantly go through because apparently once the door is open the Figure starts coming your way. So yeah, that’s my method of beating door 50 that nobody asked for :]
About #4: You can not only "pre-look" around you before screech does the "psst", but you can also notice him through various other things: When you don't move your mouse at all while being in a light room (after you just passed a dark room), you'll start noticing that your screen is shaking, adding on to a small fake rain sound effect, which then follows by the so called psst as we all know by now. Hope it helped in any way!
That’s true. It also doesn’t matter if you’re in a dark room or not, you will still hear the “rain” sound when screech is onto you. It also sounds noticeably different to real rain.
Knowledge is the most powerful weapon against fear. If you know what to do against certain entities then you won’t be afraid of them anymore, and you won’t panic.
I gotta say coins will help you get knobs even though it is not efficient, but it will help you a little bit through your run. so I will stick to the greed way checking all the drawers.
Actually, The achievement for halt gives you a hint "two steps forward and ONE STEP BACK. Which means you can walk forward, then when halt appears, take only one step back. I got halt at door 20 and that worked for me
Tip: The lighter is actually useful in dark rooms, but not really a flashlight. If you have a flashlight, it's just facing in front of you, not around you, and we all know screech spawns next to you or behind you, so if you have a lighter, it will be very useful because it is AROUND you. But a flashlight isn't around you, so it's best to have a lighter.
Flashlight more useful for noobs as they don't know what kind of rooms can spawn and just want to get out of the dark room as soon as possible.u can locate doors faster with flashlight and after the update,it's even more useful to have a flashlight in the dark rooms as u can see the room numbers and don't bymistake run into a fake room with the entity dupe
I've gotten a lot better at the game but I think I'll always have a problem with figure on door 50, no matter how many tips I get from people about that room, it's always not good enough for me so I tend to just stick to my old plan - always hiding from figure in the closets, I can play the minigams all day, but it's really hard to find the books and figure keeps going everywhere, I have a very short amount of time before he starts going to where I am, and I try to keep a good distance from him since I know even if you're still, he can still hear your heartbeat if he's close.
My strat: camp in a place he doesnt go until he goes up/downstairs then, use that time to look for books and get the paper after getting the books from the side he goes to during cutscene, repeat the process until you have all or most of the books
I suffered the same thing, until ONE tip saved my life, while solving the code at the door, you only need to guess the last number, since Figure cant hear you at the door, even while putting in the code. He also camps around books, so if you leave one book unopened downstairs he will stick near there a lot to make you feel safer. I still am not the best at door 50, but it works really well.
I love looting. I mainly play by myself as most of my friends dont play doors and strangers don’t wait for me. I play in solo games a lot because it’s more fun for me, and I can loot as many drawers as I want as well as force Jack to spawn in closets hehe. I loot for the gold and items because A, I always die to seek because if laggy doors and crouching, and B, I don’t spend my knobs on items because I know I’ll find them.
It’s not always guaranteed you will beat the game (unless you know exactly how to do it) so looting will help a tiny bit to help regain knobs you spent on other items Even if 5 isn’t much It’ll add up As well as every win you get is equal to 1 flashlight or 3 vitamins which can normally be found if you don’t take as much damage, and let’s face it, we all know Timothy will do the job
Number 9: I always save my lockpicks for multi-darked locked rooms because if you search, higher chance of being damaged by screech, and getting those bandages. And it's time consuming for speedruns.
For the halt tip, I still turn around. I used this tip many times and it just made Halt go faster for some reason. I never could do this because of that.
When you walk backwards your speed decreases, halt will find your location and move towards it but it doesn't change if you move away so you can just move a bit back and wait for halt to reach the location
For tip number 8 Personally, I agree with the statement that you shouldn't loot when speed running is faster. Although, there is a way to get up to 1000 knobs or more when playing by yourself. This is no hack or cheat or glitch but it all involves in buying the 5x booster. When you buy this as the name implies you get a 5x multiplier for the entirety of your run. Finishing the game with no extra knobs will grant you 750 knobs, BUT here's the catch. If you get 1000 gold (which is sounds like a lot) you can get up to 1000 knobs maximizing your knob count.Playing with 3 other players will also grant you an extra 60 knobs along with it. Making your total knobs get to 1060. Keep in mind this is when playing with friends. If you are by yourself you could get amount of at least of 1000 knobs when using this trick. So, yes, I do agree with the statement that you shouldn't loot when speed running is faster. But, if you're buying the 5x booster and want to get the most out of your 3 or 5 runs depending if you have ROBLOX Premium or not, then I would use this trick.
The reason why people buy a lighter is to save time in early dark rooms, for example, if theres an early dark room in your game (ex. Dark Room 8) taking the lighter to use is needed, especially with that half fuel lighter luck
Now that 100 has been revamped, I recommend memorizing the map and places where Figure doesn’t go. I also recommend getting the vitamins and lockpicks. Lockpicks for unlocking the electricity room and vitamins to outrun him if you don’t feel confident
a tip for ppl who can defeat figure in door 50: when you get passed the door 50 mark, then its important to loot almost EVERY drawer. why? bcuz the chance of u finding lighters (which u will want to have before door 100) decreases by like 80 percent or something, BUT the chance of finding lighters in drawers only decreases a bit, hope this helped! if this doesent happen to u almost everytime after door 50, then i guess i was just unlucky in those 5 times when i got past door 50 have a good day!
A way to avoid screech is, you will hear a static like sound when he latches on you. usually moments after this static / humming like sound starts he will *Psst* and if your not quick bite you. Use this static like noise to your advantage and avoid screech.
This is for the halt tip. The strategy mentioned is not completely fool proof. While rare, it’s possible that halt can chase you for a short time. This means that it’s speed is extremely fast and if you just walk backwards it will get you. So what I’m saying is that walking backwards is fast but risky.
No? Unless you have a horrible reaction timing of going backwards, Halt never catches you. Did it all the time when i met it, it never hit me So if you got hit while going backwards, you'd DEFINITELY get hit with turning around and going back
This is..half true,If you try and do the speedrunning tactic of stopping so halt gets closer, you might be dying by halt, but you can tell what speed halt is going anyway,so it's pretty hard for that to happen.
Just because people who are “ noobs “ aren’t as experienced as some people it might not be their fault if they have trouble with dupe they may suffer from forgetfulness or short term memory loss and if they have trouble with screech they may have bad eyesight and not be able to find it easily either way it doesn’t mean u should call them a “noob”.
A secret tip for y’all is when entering door 50 during the cutscene u can find books within the first 2 rows left and right giving speed runners an advantage
I didn't know about the lighter ones but for the taking damage part, it might be half impossible for me since my chance of being jumped by Timothy is like at least 60% every run
A tip for figure, rush and ambush Figure: Always crouch when in door 50 (library) and only run when you need to. Screech: It only spawns in a dark room, and if you hear a “Psst” it means a screech is on you. look around and stare it down. Rush: The lights will flicker when it is near, it’s flicker is shorter then Ambush. And you can hide in a closet/Under a bed. Ambush: Same with rush, the lights will flicker when its near. But, it’s flicker is longer then rush. You can hide in a closet/Under a bed aswell. But the difference is that Ambush will come around 1 to 6 times. So you will need to hop in and out of your hiding spot Extra Tip: The Guiding light makes a blue sparkle effect to lead and help you through out your game. if you’d die from an entity (Rush, Ambush, seek, figure, Etc) it will give you advice on what to do :) Hope this helped!!
A small tip: When entering a three-door junction room in the Seek Chase, the lights flicker during about 1 second, making it easier to see the guiding light coming from the right door.
I'm good at speedrunning after just a few days of playing, as I have memorized the patterns of every entity, every level layout and key possibility, and I'm also able to avoid dying to figure pretty easily due to the first reason.
Actually, I use lockpicks on light rooms that have alot of doors, because dark rooms that have a lick actually tells u where the key is at, just open the door wait for a few secs and then there will be a blue light that leads to the location of the key.
guiding light will sometimes take its time plus guiding light also shows u the in rooms that have light its the just that the light itself isnt seen 2 easy
#8 is gonna be negated next Doors update. Gold coins will have a use in the actual Doors runs and those can be used to buy items from a vendor. One such item that was leaked is a crucifix or some sort of amulet that lets you survive most deaths by monsters. I doubt it includes FIgure or Seek. Oh, and the items are quite expensive. 100-400 gold coisn to buy them.
7:50 Bro not everyone has enough knobs, you need to reach door 100 or smth to get enough knobs for a flashlight in a single run, but you can easily get 50 knobs for a lighter by reaching door 50
You are saying that we are supposed to not loot cuz faster progression. But then u also say that we have to loot to get vitamins or lighters. It just doeasn make any sens.
For halt instead of just walking backwards you could actually just stop moving but take sure you walk A couple steps backwards when it says turn around
Here, I got one, when you're in room 100, use a lockpick to open the power room, and then once you have to run away after the cutscene, go in there ad crouch immediately and stay still until he goes away. He can't fit through the door and you're far enough away. Just don't get too close, as he can detect your heartbeat. Also stay in one place for a while and don't move if you don't know where he is. The side storage areas are safe places to hide. Also, don't go down where he is first. Instead, check upstairs first, things can spawn there, and, you can go all the way downstairs to get to the rift, which is another safe area. I hope this tip was helpful. Keep in mind, you can no longer skip figure.
I used to do that but found out Figure could go through the glass for some reason so I just run to the small room with shelves in the corner of the halls
A lighter is actually pretty good. U literally said in the video earlier that lighters reduce the chances of light sources to spawn and allows lock picks and vitamins to spawn. Used ur own weapon against you. 😊😊😊
You know! Fun fact!: If you wanna save fuel on a lighter and any other source of light. Just if you see how large the room is and look around, you can see the door. Just go through the door, if it's dark again. Then use the lighter. Good for people who use lots of fuel, or you don't have enough fuel in your lighter.
I'd recommend just getting the flashlight and lock pick, since the flashlight lights up the space in front of you while the lighter only lights up the space around you and he lock pick for dark locked rooms. Also there is a myth that if you get a seek hallways and find a lighter in one of the drawers, then there is a higher chance of getting more op items. I usually check them almost everytime 'cause it works for me so try it to see if it works
Tips Seek: Whenever you are at door 20 i suggest looting because vids give speed buffs plus helth back 2 100 Figure When heres coming hide in locker the mini games easy If ur phone or tablet player click your screen to ⬅️➡️ And tI suggest put your volium up and if you here twinkles you need to find a books open like this 📙📙📙📙📙📔📚📇 Rush: If lights flicker and u hear a noise like grr er er er AAA Hide in a locker/bed And then you survive Ambush: same as rush but go back and forward Screech: if you here psst look arounnd ⬆️⬇️⬅️ Halt when u see a figure like a blue ghost coming towards you go backwards and if hes behind u run! Eyes: dont look at him Glich: if With players go towards them Timothy: Dont look through 200 drawers in a game because he will take 5% helth Super hard mode: greed: Dont pick up too much gold because hell kill you Jeff the killer: in pre run shop by vids and when u see him run past him ROOMS A-90 If you see a90 on your screen Stand still A-60 Like rush A120 like ambush Mobbles Jack: theres a chance jack will spawn in locker but he does 0 helth Window look out window hes rare Others El goblino: he just talks to u Bob: hes dead Jeff: donate to jeff Rooms Dark: use lighters Chest: open up the top dwarer its good Long keys if u have pix dont use save Library like figure Seek eye rooms: just dont hide Door 100 Use picks Hide dont hide to long This took 30 minutes!
I get what you mean by Looting, but they may get caught off guard by Timothy. Each run after that, they start to get scared of looting and eventually, they don’t want to open drawers at all. You might be thinking, but “what if theres a locked room?” Since they don’t trust the drawers, they just lockpick the next room. Timothy is also the reason of 75% of No damage fails because they tend to loot. If you want to do a No Damage run, combine it with No Keys.
You can also use your lighter for screech bc screech only comes out during dark places and it doesn't like light so ya, when u hear the screech sound just turn on your lighter for a bit.
With Screech before Screech Whispers if you stand still and stay quiet enough you can either hear static before Screech Whispers or the screen will start shaking violently but you have to look really closely to catch it or listen really closely which would have been helpful if Captain Jack Attack said that these aren't hate comments by the way I'm just getting triggered knowing these faaaaactssss
Tip 1: Another way to find screech quickly before you hear the psst sound you will hear a slight staticy sound this is more affective than trying to get him to go around your view because some times he spawns behind you tip 2: ONLY use vitamins when you need them like if rush spawns but there aren’t any closets or beds tip 3: in hotel+ you if you have lock picks at door 100 unlock the breaker door and stay in those little rooms
1:47 i used to watch this channel so much and I’m starting to watch it again and when I was playing the game I forgot your supposed to turn around and not go walk backwards
Notes: - Halt has been slightly buffed, and the not-turning-around method is harder - Screech can also be alerted by a slight shaking. - Door 100's tips are very outdated.
The half lighter is right but it's like a system in the game u see when u have a below half lighter the game is like "I got ya my man" and gives u the lighter which is above half but when the games sees that the lighter is above half the game is like "ok just take some op loot with ya mate" And gives items like vitamins, lockpicks, and flashlights and that is how it is EVERYTIME in the game
This guy: Make sure to never get hurt because only noobs do that, and it spawns bandages instead of the good loot that pros get! Also this guy: Make sure not to loot because it takes too much time and doesn't give that much stuff!
Tip for screech: before he says psst, if you listen very closely, u will hear a faint static and ambients that will give u a few extra seconds to look for him
Another thing about the lighter is that it takes longer to strike a flame when it's low on fuel. This is significant because while you're striking the lighter, you're still consuming fuel.
I wanna tell you about another thing I know. After Screech says "psst", a weird sounds is heard. I can't completely describe how is it. But you hear a weird sound in dark rooms, you can get Screech will say 'psst' next.

I don’t think he can hear me when I’m searching drawers, never got chased
Hiding spots lure him toward you if you know his path it’s easier f he chases someone or kills someone he changes the path

The yhing you said about the code helped me so much! I had literally no idea how to do it
Some things new in the update
1. You can no longer do the figure skip, since the hitbox increase
2. Looting now is actually a good thing to do since you can get things such as the crucifix, more good items and the skull key, granting inf regen, very useful for the greenhouse.
3. Lockpicks are best to save till door 100 so you can lockpick the breaker room door and skip an entire sequence with 1 and rift the rest
besides the hitbox, you LITERALLY cant since in the new animation he runs down the stairs (atleast from when i played 3 days ago)

I also just jump the closet when I see Figure coming towards me and it gets me killed a lot.
for figure try to move out of it path just avoid closets if your bad at heartbeat minigame
Five likes in five minutes 💯
you can also hide in a corner since figure has a specific path, also you need to aware with corner is safe if you dont wanna die
My suggestion is to stay as far away from figure at all times and don’t use the closets so you don’t have to do the mini game unless he knows where you are then probably get in one 👍
@@guy5615 his path changes (sometimes getting his path bugged in the statue so he wont be able to get upstairs)
My list of things noobs do (hotel update)
Just don’t loot too much, because… 🕷️

The classic 'missing' 8th book in Door 50 probably screws many games over because it cannot be found somehow and is always the last number you need. The tip here is to guess the last number instead, you don't need the 8th book to get past the Library's lock. Just be careful when figure goes up the stairs.

Wrong. Well, atleast now its possible without guessing.
If its dupe. Bruh.

Edit: I completely forgot that this comment existed
Also for Ambush, pretty much just do the same thing for Rush.

Wait for the guiding light, but you may have to deal with Screech.
here is a screech tip
Screech will likely spawn behind,at top or bottom if he doesn’t spawn in those locations he may be also spawning in the sides But he will never spawn up front. Also another tip about screech is that he can spawn even before the ‘psst’ sound and without even making the sound so I suggest check every 5-10 seconds
check only every 5-10 seconds in dark rooms he doesnt spawn anywhere else or right after a dark room
For number 8, you are also just risking losing health due to timothy. Timothy is rare, but if you loot, you are more likely to find timothy and lose hp. Even though he cannot kill you, remember that you don’t want plasters/band aids to spawn
That health lost is like nothing 5% damage wont do much i encounter timothy 2 time in 1 run and it didn't do much.i still find vitamin and lockpick.
@@jilusion it is still enough to spawn in plasters/band aids though
I can confirm. I was looting Halt's room after I completed it and got Timothy in one of the drawers. I found a band-aid a few drawers later

Tips: when in a dark room, screech actually makes a slight static sound before the PSST, but it’s hard to hear,
When doing the figure heartbeat mini game, you only have to do the first 2 heartbeats and then you can leave the cabinet, as figure will be stuck in the closet position for a few seconds.
About #4:
You can not only "pre-look" around you before screech does the "psst", but you can also notice him through various other things:
When you don't move your mouse at all while being in a light room (after you just passed a dark room), you'll start noticing that your screen is shaking, adding on to a small fake rain sound effect, which then follows by the so called psst as we all know by now. Hope it helped in any way!
Real!
That’s true. It also doesn’t matter if you’re in a dark room or not, you will still hear the “rain” sound when screech is onto you. It also sounds noticeably different to real rain.
Yeah!
Yeah same, I thought I was the only one who knew screech’s pre « rain » sound, I can easily find him with that

Skill issue
dont stand still for too long, figure sometimes uses echolocation to know where you are for a brief moment
Always buy lockpick and flashlight for 150 knobs
Only don't buy if no items challenge
It’s not always guaranteed you will beat the game (unless you know exactly how to do it) so looting will help a tiny bit to help regain knobs you spent on other items
Even if 5 isn’t much
It’ll add up

Number 9: I always save my lockpicks for multi-darked locked rooms because if you search, higher chance of being damaged by screech, and getting those bandages. And it's time consuming for speedruns.
Jack, the chances of Screech appearing in a dark room decreases significantly more if you use a lighter instead of a flashlight.
For tip number 8
Personally, I agree with the statement that you shouldn't loot when speed running is faster.

Yes, but is too dark the door 100, and i died bcz figure was behind me
a tip for ppl who can defeat figure in door 50: when you get passed the door 50 mark, then its important to loot almost EVERY drawer. why? bcuz the chance of u finding lighters (which u will want to have before door 100) decreases by like 80 percent or something, BUT the chance of finding lighters in drawers only decreases a bit, hope this helped!
if this doesent happen to u almost everytime after door 50, then i guess i was just unlucky in those 5 times when i got past door 50
have a good day!
A way to avoid screech is, you will hear a static like sound when he latches on you. usually moments after this static / humming like sound starts he will *Psst* and if your not quick bite you. Use this static like noise to your advantage and avoid screech.
psst
That’s happened to me, too. I can predict when he’s gonna come to me because of this sound.

@@realfridge looks around with tremendous fear
This is for the halt tip. The strategy mentioned is not completely fool proof. While rare, it’s possible that halt can chase you for a short time. This means that it’s speed is extremely fast and if you just walk backwards it will get you. So what I’m saying is that walking backwards is fast but risky.
I just got halt in door 8

No? Unless you have a horrible reaction timing of going backwards, Halt never catches you. Did it all the time when i met it, it never hit me
So if you got hit while going backwards, you'd DEFINITELY get hit with turning around and going back
This is..half true,If you try and do the speedrunning tactic of stopping so halt gets closer, you might be dying by halt, but you can tell what speed halt is going anyway,so it's pretty hard for that to happen.
Just because people who are “ noobs “ aren’t as experienced as some people it might not be their fault if they have trouble with dupe they may suffer from forgetfulness or short term memory loss and if they have trouble with screech they may have bad eyesight and not be able to find it easily either way it doesn’t mean u should call them a “noob”.

also the video is literally directed towards new players so theres no problem w it

A tip for figure, rush and ambush
Figure: Always crouch when in door 50 (library) and only run when you need to.
So you will need to hop in and out of your hiding spot
Extra Tip: The Guiding light makes a blue sparkle effect to lead and help you through out your game. if you’d die from an entity (Rush, Ambush, seek, figure, Etc) it will give you advice on what to do :)
Hope this helped!!
Tip: In door 50, try hiding behind couches and big objects.

“Rather then dealing with him in the closet” 🤨🤨🤨

You know! Fun fact!:
If you wanna save fuel on a lighter and any other source of light.
I'm not sure if you can do the Figure skip anymore as he comes down the stairs now.

Seek: Whenever you are at door 20 i suggest looting because vids give speed buffs plus helth back 2 100
Figure When heres coming hide in locker the mini games easy If ur phone or tablet player click your screen to ⬅️➡️ And tI suggest put your volium up and if you here twinkles you need to find a books open like this 📙📙📙📙📙📔📚📇
Rush: If lights flicker and u hear a noise like grr er er er AAA Hide in a locker/bed And then you survive
Ambush: same as rush but go back and forward

Seek eye rooms: just dont hide
Door 100 Use picks
Hide dont hide to long
This took 30 minutes!
Figure door 100 is revamped and buffed, and he runs down the stairs instead of jumping, which you must run backwards and try get all the batteries
Notes:
- Halt has been slightly buffed, and the not-turning-around method is harder
- Screech can also be alerted by a slight shaking.
1:40 yes, but you could also stop in your tracks when he's in front of you and be brave. That way getting you is impossible for halt
"Don't get hurt"
"Loot instead of buying a lighter"
Timothy: Am I a joke to you?
I wanna tell you about another thing I know. After Screech says "psst",
a weird sounds is heard. I can't completely describe how is it. But you hear a weird sound in dark rooms, you can get Screech will say 'psst' next.
