I could tell you now just from watching this video .. you are going to be a successful influencer 🙏 I’m joining the army infantry this year at 20 years old. You’re living my dream life rn. Good job brotha and keep it up you’re making a lot of people proud
don't join the infantry unless you plan on doing 20 years, and if you say your doing 20 years then think about this. All the things you'll miss, kids being born, seeing family, birthdays, graduations ETC. Also think about your knees after 20 years of running and your back 20 years after rucking. The army's a great place to be, but I would look into something that will set u up on the outside. Air traffic controllers, Intelligence, anything medical will guarantee you high paying jobs on the outside. I wanted to be a combat engineer and some unfortunate things happened to me that caused me to pick something else and im glad I did. My AIT time helps with credits in my degree and I have a very promising future in the civilian sector. Sadly being trained to kill the enemy doesn't translate very well to the civilian sector. Obviously do whatever your heart desires, but try your best to look at things from a realistic perspective. I know it can be hard when your young, patriotic and full of testosterone lol. Also don't get tricked into thinking only combat MOS deploy, I just left Korea 3 months ago after being there for a year and im currently being quartined in Kuwait awaiting transit to Afghanistan. Im only typing this out A) I literally have nothing to do in Kuwait and I may be going crazy B) I know a lot of infantry men who joined thinking they were going to do all the bad ass shit in the commercials but instead spent their entire contract stateside cleaning shit. Your job is to the fight the enemy, if theres no enemy to fight then....plus were pulling out of Afghanistan so there's really no one to fight. Regardless army is a great place to be. At least over here you wont be eating crayons, wearing eye pro at night and walking around with your invisible lats showing.
@@dalastmag1929 Not everybody joins the military to get a job, that will set them up for a good paycheck in the civillian world. Some people join the army infantry for the experience. Good seeing you guys taking fitness serious. And I know that there are plenty of Marines who only work out if there's scheduled PT. Other than that they can care less about physical fitness.
You’re right about that! Some people don’t PT at all unless it’s mandatory. One thing I always appreciated was that being in the infantry with 1st Marines, you had to work out regularly or you’d never be able to keep up with everyone else in your platoon or company. The gym at Camp Horno wasn’t great or anything, but it was always packed. If one of the guys in your platoon or fire team sees you not putting out the effort you should, they’d call you out on it. Definitely. I was glad to see that almost everyone took their conditioning seriously in the infantry. Same with our PFT. Most units will accept a 225 PFT (minimum 1st class score). But for us, if you’re below 280 even, you’re going to be ordered to PT during chow to get that score up. Sure guys scored even lower sometimes. But their life had to hell from all the crap they’d get from the SNCO’s.
As a current army soldier I can say these marines are definitely more fit than any of my friends in my unit keep up the good work boys you guys definitely motivate me to keep myself in shape at least 😅
