😀😀 .. I’m glad it helped .. but yes, if you can make do with working within the boundaries of iPadOS, then you sure can use it as a laptop replacement. Also, iPadOS 16 is bringing stage manager which makes the iPad behave almost like a laptop, so make sure you buy an iPad with M1 chip in it!

Samsung tabs are super cool.. only thing that concerns me in the software support and the quality of apps available. Android doesn’t offer the same level of attention which Apple gives to its tablet lineup. I still get software updates to my 8 year old iPad Air gen 1 .. now that is some insane software support which is rare to find elsewhere.
the ipad air 4 is almost hilariously fast. Everything is snappy and the gaming is surprisingly really great.

Since this video, I have tested seven other keyboards and add-ons .. especially the ESR Gear Rebound Keyboard case, which is an amazing alternative to Apple’s magic keyboard and it costs only under 100$ .. so do check that and see if it helps further 😊

Yes, all those programs have an App on iPadOS. Microsoft office suit needs a subscription to use and there are options to pay monthly.
I will try to get samples of any other alternatives for the magic keyboard but for the Apple Pencil, I’d recommend to save up and get the real thing. The real one is really that good and the way it integrates & charges is simply perfect.

I'm thinking of getting an iPad Pro as soon as the new model comes out. I want the Pro model mostly due to it's size over the iPad Air 4. Do you think that the air is a better iPad then? Much mahalo!
Well with Pro you do get extra RAM, storage and Promotion display.. if you think those are worth paying the price extra 200$ .. then sure, go with the Pro .. but if you are not too bothered about those extras, then Air 4 is an excellent option. Even I am excited about the new Pro and will sure be reviewing one on the channel when it launches 😊
@@RaavMedia one big reason for wanting the pro, other than the large size is so I can use LumaFusion, whereas Final Cur pro, which works on the Mac is very expensive.
@@kelalamusic9258 LumaFusion is an excellent video editing tool .. all my videos since last year are edited using that .. and I still don’t use it’s full potential. I paid around 30£ for it here in UK and it’s absolutely worth it! 😊

As a piece of hardware my iPAD Air 4 is awesome. Magic Keyboard makes it a legit laptop replacement.. No. I have to use MS Office and the IPAD implementation is utter garbage. I like to use Lightroom but the mobile implementation is crippled. The lack of true external display support is a huge miss. So without doubt the platform is well capable, but the real world use is just not there because the apps ain’t good enough. Unless you really have a pencil based use case. Buy a MacBook Air.
Is using the usb c dock with m/kb increase battery consumption or does wireless take for. Baggery
Using any sort of docks connected to external hard drives or monitor will increase battery consumption. Ideally it’s better to use a dock which allows pass through charging to make the setup more productive and not worry about running out of battery .. And the entire thing sits on a desk anyways so plugging in a charging cable shouldn’t be an issue right.
@@RaavMedia i know laptops are built to use while charging, but do ipads function like that as well? Sorry ive never owned an apple device as i dont see it fit for my needs, until i got to college.

Absolutely.. but few things will be different like the Apple Pencil which will work will be gen 1 and you will not be able to add Apple’s magic keyboard. But you will be able to do all of it and you won’t start noticing performance slow down unless you start pushing the iPad to max!

Yes, you can get a lighting to usb hub and then you can use any keyboard as needed. But better, try to see if you can buy a Bluetooth keyboard. That way, you won’t need a hub or an adapter. I reviewed Logitech’s K380 wireless keyboard on my channel and it is amazing .. so do check that 😊

Thanks 😊 .. yes you can connect HDD via the hub but certain ones draw more power and require pass through charging. Anker does offer that kind as well or get the Apple camera adapter .. it is a bit expensive but it does the job!

Yes, Apple supports downloads and the downloaded file gets saved into the files app. Once downloaded, as long as it is compatible, you can use the video file with any application as needed.

Yes, you can open a file with any application via the files app. You just hit share and then choose the app with which you’d like to open your file. Setting default at the moment is only allowed on browser and email client.

Yes, the complete Microsoft suite of applications are available on the iPad along with iWork apps .. however personally I feel a laptop with mouse pointer control does provide better experience on those apps than multitouch control of an iPad.

It’s a 2017 Dell Inspiron 13 inch 2 in 1 maxed out with Core i7 and 16GB RAM … I still use it as my daily driver and it kept up pretty well!

Been using air 4 ……i do music production on it and it wont charge past 80% now i know it is done to save battery but even after use if the ipad is kept ideal for charging it wont charge past 80 % can u relate or if u have faced this
Have you tried draining it to 0% and then charging it to see if it goes all the way to 100? Also, you could do a complete reset and see if it fixes the issue .. if it still doesn’t work then unfortunately, it might need a hardware fix. If it is Air 4, then it might still be under Apple’s 1 year manufacturer warranty. So call Apple support and see if they can arrange a fix or replacement.
@@RaavMedia actually the iPad gets real hot while I do editing on it and then when it has drained to say 20 I plug it and and it charges to 80 **** now I'm testing it if cooling it lets it charge to more than that 80 ,,, yes resetting it makes the issue go away ***
I just sold my MacBook Air and I’m going to be using the iPad as a replacement. The reason I sold my MacBook was because I hated the keyboard and I wasn’t utilizing it enough to justify the price I paid for it.

It does offer full desktop websites. iPadOS made this change so the Safari browser on the iPad identifies itself as a Mac instead of a tablet, so we do get full desktop versions of websites.
