These are some of the most pared-down and austere clothes I have ever seen from Valentino, and inevitably, it’s the most egalitarian collection. It’s a pretty collection on its own, but we keep wanting to compare it to Valentino Haute Couture, which is sublime and supreme. We keep wanting that thrill of the exquisite gowns, but with this collection, we’re getting a lot of very pretty, but uncomplicated and even plain day wear (the gowns, as always, are gorgeous). This is not haute couture, nor is it meant to be. This is a new direction for Valentino, the youthfulness, the un-fussiness of it. I actually enjoy seeing the non-models in the show. This is, after all, a collection for the people, even though I doubt most people would afford it.

Day dress are soooooo boring, but for evening dresses and gowns VALENTINO IS THE WINNER.... colours are stunning, the new rockstud is an easy sell out. Bravo
The problem is Valentino's haute couture has such a distinctive look but sadly his RTW has no signature aesthetic ( especially this one ) Other than the beautiful floral prints, some voluminous shapes, there's nothing else to be excited about. Couture set the bar too high. But individual pieces worn by a real person could work, it just doesn't work in a fashion show, where you have long dresses, short dresses, jeans, crotchet, florals, it looks very mish mash like a H&M store. Their trying to sell bags, though, lots of bags on display. Maybe that's the pt.

The collection itself it's not bad it's pretty! but...very basic honestly, Valentino signature belongs to Haute Couture which has set the bar toooo high for the brand itself but not RTW. I can see why for some this collection wasn't enough but overall i liked it, not bad but not the most amazing either.

I still remember when i was 11 i’m asking my mom to buy me valentino sandals . And now 2020 till i’m 25yo i still keep those sandals. I’m so in love with this Designer of Studs 😍😍😍 wish i could be a part of their FS 🤩
My favourite collection has always been Valentino Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2016 in Rome. Now this is not Valentino anymore...

The highlight of this collection was certainly the oversized, very flowy, sheer, some what roman/greece inspired dressed. i enjoyed the oversized yet fitted nature of this collection. you could certainly tell that pierpaolo had a hard time putting a collection together at all, as it overall seemed very uninspired and lackluster but was still a technically sound collection.

This collection literally represents our pandemic times: sad, and depressing. Lazy even. I can see Zara making better designs. It's like Pierpaolo had a bunch of fabric leftovers from previous collections and just wanted to get rid of it. 😒
Dario Fontana Whew, I do t feel so bad now. I had to look again to see whose collection this was. Valentino?!? Just didn’t seem special, elevated enough to be a top designer’s collection. I LOVE fashion and I respect the individual creative process...normally, but this one didn’t grab me at all. I was waiting for the punch line.
I could bloody kiss you, that's exactly how I feel! Why are people so blinkered and gormless? Some folk would buy any old crap just to brag about it being a designer label... it's pathetic!

the diversity in model casting is amazing. I actually love most of the clothes of this collection, feels very young and romantic. however PPP is not as good at designing accessories... what even are those studded sandals
