I’m sorry but the day that she got on camera and ADMITTED to denying her 4yr old daughter food because she forgot her packed lunch, that was the day you knew that she seriously neglected her children. The fact that CPS didn’t step in then shows how complicit they are too in the failure to protect these kids. Ruby and Jodie are monsters hiding behind a facade. Throw away the key I say.

On a side happier note, that older Turpin child that escaped and got them help is such an impressive young woman (I only know of her due to her social media and interviews). You can tell once she is properly educated she will be a very bright lady who has a lot going for her because she was clearly born with a smart brain that just needs the mold of education. I look her up every once in a while to see how she is doing. Those kids are survivors and we can all learn a lot from their spirit and resilience. On top of all the natural gifts she was given she happens to be a real beauty inside and out. I’m rooting for all of them. It’s a very tough start to life but I just have a feeling they are going to NAIL the rest of their life. Such resiliency at such a young age and a pure heart not over taken by hate which is hard for even the most level headed adults who were not tortured.

You can’t grow if you’re not eating anything - That’s what I thought at that time.
Ruby has some kind of eating disorder so no wonder she’s not feeding her kids.
Putting her teenage daughters on accutane which is very strong and harmful meds even tho teenagers gets pimples like any other teenager have.

I think Emmymade who doesn’t allow her kids to be on camera at all (apart from their hands or voices occasionally, if they helped her with the project, which is rare) is a good example for how to create content if you have kids.
Anne Reardon from how to cook that is also a good example, she does allow her kids on camera to taste things, and now that they are older, they sometimes test gadgets with her if her husband isn’t able to, but they are incidental to her content, which is about baking and food science. It seems like they wanted to be in her videos, because she did let them make their own channel (never watched it so do t know if it did well). Either of those approaches are okay with me, because the kids are not the focus and they could make their content if they had never had children.
I also think that no parenting advice should be allowed unless the person is a professional, and if they are, their kids have NO reason to be in their videos. Social media companies need to take more responsibility when it comes to “momfluencers” and the like, imho.

Kim from the WADS shows her kids a bit more but also 95% of her content doesn't have them in it and it doesn't feel like the kids are what drive her content at all. While it may be a bit more than I would ever do if I were a parent I can see it in a gray area of it. Wait. Her siblings & extended family said that they’ve “kept quiet on the subject” for THREE YEARS, “for the sake of her children?”
How does keeping quiet for multiple years protect the kids? If they really wanted to do something for the “sake of her children,” they would have yelled it from the rooftops, that Ruby Franke is physically, emotionally, and mentally abusing her children as a result of her warped idea of discipline & tough love. If they wanted to help those kids, they would have used their own significant platforms to do & say whatever it took to get them removed from her custody. They would have contacted authorities & fought to become legal guardians of their nieces & nephews. When has silence ever helped an abused child? When has not drawing attention to the abuse ever benefited the “sake” of the child? But, they expect you to believe they had good reasons for doing nothing? They’re flat out admitting that this abuse has been ongoing for at least the last 3 years, that they knew it was happening for at least the last 3 years, and that doing nothing about it was in the best interest of the kids involved. Kids they claim to love.
That’s bullsh¡t. Ruby & her dedicated followers helped her siblings rise to prominence. The people who supported Ruby, supported *them* too. They benefited from Ruby’s business associates, from her company, and from the plethora of creative ways she turned her family into a commodity. They needed her to be successful, so that *they* in turn could find success. And they witnessed this abuse - year, after year - while doing absolutely nothing. As far as I’m concerned, they all need to be investigated. If they were willing to turn a blind eye to their sister’s abuse, maybe it’s because they have secrets of their own. Maybe it was just about money, i don’t know. But if you know that children are being seriously abused for 3 or more years & you do nothing, you’re at the very least complicit in the abuse, and at worst you’re an accomplice. Law enforcement needs to figure out which is true. They waited until a starving child broke free from restraints his mom used to keep him tied to a bed, then climb through a window & run to a nearby stranger’s house asking for food & water, before they said a single word about Ruby’s psychotic behavior. An abused 12 year old boy had to find the courage to seek help on his own because *EVERY* adult in his life failed him, including his father. They should all be ashamed.

@@purecuteness7729 I'm sure that really made the abuse better. Them keeping quiet for 3 while years totally helped, why did these kids even need the police or CPS when they had their family to not protect them?

      @placefantasy1821 Рік тому

@@purecuteness7729 no I'm not saying for them to plaster on the internet what is happening, but even if they did its not as if this situation was private it was VERY public and actively speaking out about it may have had the situation resolved faster. The way they are making it sound in their own words is as though they were just trying to keep the waters calm essentially but when you are witnessing the abuse of children and have the power to directly intervene, choosing to "keep your silence" is in a way allowing for the abuser to continue on with no consequences. They were directly aware of the treatment of these children and chose not to intervene which is why I said it was certainly a choice.

Can we all remember this is a very SAD day. 4 children were taken into care and if u see my other comment, I was abused by rich parents too but the foster care system is ugly. None of their aunts took them in, same as mine. The whole family is corrupt on different levels but four innocent children have lost all their privilege and are now traumatised foster children, all their life chances and money and security that their toxic family gave them , is gone. I was raised in a family like this, ended up years in the system. My family are still there. But they now judge me for drinking etc, I am truly alone with my brothers. I hope these kids will be ok , and I hope to god some family step up and take these kids in x

If he had not jumped out the window and gone to the neighbors, who knows how long this would have continued and how much more suffering would have been inflicted. This type of abuse has lead to tragic and horrific deaths of children. Why do we have laws and organisations if they turn a blind eye when *everyone* is begging them to help these kids. I'm so glad they're safe, and that's honestly because that little boy was brave and strong. He saved himself and his siblings
I know you said if sounds like a horror movie, but it reminds me of true crime documentaries where people knew, but nothing or too little was done.

Holy fucking shit. I knew this lady was bad, but this is a whole new level. I feel for all of the victims in this situation and I hope they receive justice for this and can finally be safe. The government should have checked in months ago, my heart breaks for them. I’m so happy she was arrested and is being held without bail, hopefully she is held accountable for her actions and the victims receive some form of closure. I hope the father doesn’t get custody because if he was a good father, he wouldn’t have let any harm come to those children.

This just tears my heart apart. I am a mother, I am considered an adoptive mother to almost all of my kids friends. My home is ALWAYS a safe haven where people feel loved, safe, welcome and appreciated. I could NEVER NEVER treat my kids, both genetic and adoptive, like this. All of my kids are now grown adults who still love to spend time with me and in my home because they all matter and are important.Any time my sons bring people into my home I tell them that they are allowed to consider my home a second home. This is just unfathomable to my brain to ever treat kids like these people have done. How do you do this to children??!! My heart hurts so bad for these kids. I want to cry for these children.

Children are allowed to give statements in custody cases at the age of 12. There are multiple children that can share their experiences. Kevin will not receieve custody if they mention any of his involvement in the abuse.

It’s just gotta be that they are suspicious of a starving wounded 12 year old having a weapon. Would he be able even to lift a gun? And, why would he attack people he sought refuge from? In our town the police keep bringing back my neighbor who keeps bringing him back from his aunt’s and brother’s. His stepmother doesn’t let him out of his room and doesn’t feed him. People have been trying to help for 4 years but the dad is a firefighter. Soon he’ll be old enough to run to where they can’t find him.

They got cocky. After the first CPS visit didn't show enough for an investigation or arrest, they thought they could get away with anything.
Remember that these women thought the abuse they inflected on their kids was good parenting. When CPS left, they probably thought that was a stamp of approval that they were good parents.
