Excellent match!! Both the players played their best. Samsonova winning the first set with wonderful drop shots. The final set was dominated by keys, leading. Unfortunately samsonova retired. Congratulations Madison 🎉👍👍👍
Amazing power by both ladies . And keys defends those bullets well too. Now that the courts are faster, I hope she can win a slam at either the AO or USO.
@ I’m referring to the volume on the WTA tour over the last few years rather than this specific ones, which is why I said “all these…” I’m sure she could have stood out there for 3 more games mind you.
@MirjanaLfan did you watch the game? She was injured early in the second set and continued for another set and a half. Why would you stay out there, in hot conditions and risk further injury when she had no hope of winning?
@@JohnDoe-h2d9e According to this, she was able to complete a 5-7 2nd set and play to 0-3 in the 3rd...but couldn't eke out 3 more games for the fans? She retired because Keys was playing lights out, and she knew she couldn't win. Why stay out there? It's her job.
@broncoguy4862 If she just decided that she couldn't be bothered because she was going to lose, sure, I can understand the criticism. This happens far too often on the WTA, i agree. She received treatment at the end of the first set (which she won) so the injury is obviously legitimate. There's no benefit to anyone in her standing out there limping around on 1 leg for 3 more games. Especially with a grand slam 2 days away
Go, Keys! Somsonova was hitting super hard and smart. Hope she recovers soon.
Somehow I too feel that especially Samsonova gets less coverage than she deserves.
I hope Samsonova get well soon, very competitive player. Great comeback Keys

Keys pegula final.. go keys
Keys is getting all the opportunities and good fortune.
Unfortunate, but she did the right thing retiring.
I hope the Russian tennis star Liudmila Sasonova recovers quickly enough to compete in the AO. She is very confident and pleasant to watch her match.
Uuh que facilidad de golpes, las dos me encantan 🤠 pero Keys merece más éxitos en los grand slams⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Bravo Madison, belle série de victoires 👏👏👏👏
Keys is crushing the ball right now and seeing everything so early. I got her winning the title, look out for her in the AO
Samsonova is still facing her problem of control , too many errors , which is a pity because she probably have the fastest ball on the tennis scene
what is keys' racket?
Ezone 100
I just read that it's 92F (33C) in Adelaide on Saturday.. that might explain the forfeit?
Unfortunate ending. Keys and Samsonova both seem like players who have the game to win slams if only they could maintain some consistency.
👍👍👍🙏❤
Looks like a case putting up a white flag to save themselves for the AO.
So Samsonova quit!
Ohh... NOW you post Russians' matches because they lost. I see...
All these retirements, lack of respect for tournament, fans and sport
Grand slam starts in 2 days. If you feel an injury starting, you cannot afford to risk playing on and doing more damage

Samsonova 🤮😬😡🤬👎
Undeserved win.
Just because you're bad at gambling, doesn't make it undeserved....🤷🏻♂️
Coward's comment.
Samsonova deserved to win this match !!!!!! 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮 🤮
