Om Shanti. I am here on 31st May, 2022, after hearing the news of KK's sudden death just some hours back. I am shocked and sad. I am now 27 years old, all of us 90's kids have lost someone very close to our hearts who was a big part of our childhood memories. All Bollywood songs I listened to from 2001-2011 were always with the voice of KK. I had the CD of this film Bas ek Pal w/ Urmila on the front and used to listen to this disc every day after school in 2007-2008 when I was in 7th standard. That time I had so much difficulty with Algebra studies but listened to whole album every day while completing my homework. I am now 27 and have just completed my Doctorate Degree now. Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai, O Humdum Suniyo Re, Zara Sa, Labon Ko, Khuda Jaane, Sajde, and all of the songs from Bas Ek Pal are some of my favorites that have carried me through these struggles the last 10 years of my life. Thank you for the magical voice that us 90's kids will never forget. Forever in our hearts, Long Live KK! His voice lives on in his music around the world forever.

a nuance that might get overlooked by most while admiring this song, and which always has had me awestruck since I first listened to this, is how the mood of his voice transcends from the beginning moving through the antaras to the end. Initially the lines in the mukhda "Tere pyar mein aise jiye hum" are full of angst, sombre, and maybe some rebuke too, but the same lines in the end are sung such tenderly and with a tinge of defeat/infirmity. KK, for his ability to render that so effortlessly, and whoever directed him to do it like that deserve my respect. And ofcourse, KK is a genius, always has been, brilliant stuff thru n thru.

Anyway, this observation is just me being pedantic and KK doing his normal stuff with nonchalance, after all expression of emotion is where he trumped his 2 primary rivals throughout his career as per me, Sonu and Shaan.

I so much agree to you, ive heared both Atif & KK sing live, Atif was ok, but KK vocally is on another level. He is so versatile, he can sing a difficult song like tadap tadap, then a dance number like kya muhje pyar hai. He is completely underated and under appreciated in bollywood, shame on them
