Hey! I'm the guy who owns that wiki! I work on the Pathologic wiki as well, and started up the Cargo! one to try and help get info out about it. Thanks for the little shout-out!
My main takeaway from the Weirdest/Worst Games Ever trivias is that there exists a few people who had the stomach to play these games over and over enough to get a speedrun record.
@@yourgameisstupid Yeah, I never made it very far, but the idea of a disembodied soul that uses color as a tool to interact with the world. It's a fascinating mechanic.
@@Slyse I ended up cheating heavily in order to experience the whole thing. It was worth it, but I imagine a more forgiving game (that also did away with the glyph drawing mechanic) would have been a dramatic improvement.
I need to note that I have beaten this game and really enjoyed it. Once you understand the core concepts it is actually quite fun and tactical. It just does an awful job explaining itself to the point I had to start over several times. It’s really easy to screw yourself over if you aren’t careful with what vehicle parts to sell and if you don’t do a lot of side quests. You want to spend a lot of effort getting FUN chains so that you can bring down more buildings before moving on to the next season. So, yes, this weird game does actually have strategies and to answer Ashton’s claim that no one has ever played it, I have and I 100% completed it.
I also feel like they are being incredibly unfair by skipping past all the instructions and then complaining they don’t know what to do. Stop skipping the part where they tell you what to do and you will know what to do.
@@ryanellis4533 No actually. I just really enjoyed this one. It's also not very long. Doing everything took me like maybe 5 hours. I should also note that it has a Very Positive rating on Steam with nearly 90% positive reviews.
Watched this whole video with my full attention and still am not sure what the hell this game is about...maybe Ashton should be Games Master more often? 😅
I love that Ashton is clearly dressed for the intense heat we're getting in the UK, whilst Peter is still wearing a hoodie. Two different types of person.
I sometimes sit outside in 85-90+ weather in my black hoodie, blanketed in sunlight, feeling the sweat drip down my stomach because I sure as hell dont wear a shirt underneath simply because I decide that I want to be sitting outside and I won't be stopped
I actually played this game when it came out. Didn't play it long, but I remember building a motor boat with like 24 jet engines - so fucking stupid looking. But each engine layered the sound, so I was pissing myself laughing, my roommates too, as I destroyed my speakers in front of us with the loudest, most painful boat sound effect you've ever heard. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.
So the penguins made something click for me - there's a 16-bit (I think Genesis/MD, but maybe not) game where you run around a platform and fight evil penguins in an isometric view. It's like a collect X amount of Y to get keys or something, there's a hammer iirc, very overly complicated - anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Idk if it's related to this kaleidoscope of nonsense but it'd make a great weirdest games ever lol..
Ah yes, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity my old foe. So we meet again. These are not the first gamers I have watched you break. I fear they will not be the last.
Im so glad that the stroopwafel anecdote came ahead of this bonkers game! What a thing to proudly share around! 😂 Will make certain to resupply yall come december 😆👍
i only recently discovered stroop waffles here in America about 2 years ago although i'm sure they've been around for a while longer than that. Stroop Waffles are Really Really Good when i'm in the mood for them, which is basically always. They're great with coffee, good with hot tea and just as enjoyable when eaten by itself. 😄👍
I love how around 14:35 they spelled "wheel" correctly... then 5 seconds later it's spelled incorrectly. 🤣 This game is like the Minions and Waterworld had a love child and gave it LSD. Wonderful video all around. ❤️
I don't know why this infuriated me so much. It was just so disjointed and so much was going on yet with zero context, I've never laughed whilst getting annoyed before!
Great episode. This looks absolutely awful and disjointed. Weird for the sake of being weird but with no enjoyable gameplay or meaningful story and any context. Would be worst games ever for me but a lot of other people seem to enjoy it? Whatever works for people. Either way, incredible episode; thanks triple jump!
There have been game dev projects rejected for supposed lack of interest, misinterpretations of the current gaming climate, a presumed lack of future sales, among other things. This was released, this was *actually* released.
I cant believe you dont like them funny lil meat heads!!!... They are brill and the way they talk is icing on the comical cake they serve up👍... Not a good game but boy did i crack up😂😂
Calling Cargo weird is wrong. The game is not about exactly the stroy or gameplay. It is about feeling, like all Ice Pick Lodge games. If not to skip dialogues the story makes all the sence and simple. Also, technically it is a part of the Void universe, if you belive it. It is the world of colours, magic and possibility, unlike Voide, which is of restriction and somber tiredness from exestance itself. They are two opposites. Voids makes you work to make the way out of it, while following the strict rules, while packingthat little space with more personality than anything else. Cargo, on the contrary, gives you an infinity, which is surprisingly empty, telling the gods who couldn't master what they made themselves, only devil following general logic and wishing to get things to stability. No positivity and too mch positivity - both extremes are wrong and with either of those you must find the way out break it back in to status quo. Bi=oth games togethr teach you a valuable elsson. Cherish what you have and look to excess only to gain eperience and get stronger from it to aply back in to the normality. That's how I see it, at least.

Honestly this being made by the pathologic devs makes a lot of sense
So glad Ashton found this game it made an excellent episode lol "I love my job".
36:22 Peter's delayed reaction cracked me up.
Ashton: Have my own special fun time with it.
Peter: Yea-- um, okay...
This is one of the weirdest games I’ve ever seen. Really good episode this week. Keep up the good work.
Yeah very very weird I sure won’t be playing this looks incredibly boring....
Simon Miller crossed with Minions = Simonions
My main takeaway from the Weirdest/Worst Games Ever trivias is that there exists a few people who had the stomach to play these games over and over enough to get a speedrun record.
I don't understand anything that's going on because I woke up and this video was playing but i think it qualifies for the weirdest games ever list
I watched the video from the start and have no idea what’s going on.
WOW this was a weird but very fun game. In fact every game from Ice Pick Lodge was pretty strange. The Void is especially weird.
The Void is fascinating. Too bad it's insanely difficult beyond reason :\
@@yourgameisstupid Yeah, I never made it very far, but the idea of a disembodied soul that uses color as a tool to interact with the world. It's a fascinating mechanic.
@@yourgameisstupid Same here, must've gotten a level or two in maybe, but just couldn't be arsed because of the difficulty.
@@Slyse I ended up cheating heavily in order to experience the whole thing. It was worth it, but I imagine a more forgiving game (that also did away with the glyph drawing mechanic) would have been a dramatic improvement.
The main difference being that The Void and Pathologic are both dark and depressing, but this goes in the complete opposite direction.
OMG that Windwaker sample at 22:18 took me back
Lmao love the Simon Miller references always and this one was especially naked.
28:24 - that sound effect caught me so off guard LOOOL
The fact that Peter even knows what vore is makes me suspect that his joke was not a joke.
I absolutely loved this episode! Incredibly weird, mind melting, and thoroughly enjoyable!
Excellent job!

"Can we go up inside a penguin?" Is not a sentence I ever thought I would hear.
Well, I will most certainly NOT see those buddies in my nightmares tonight.
Watched this whole video with my full attention and still am not sure what the hell this game is about...maybe Ashton should be Games Master more often? 😅
This game seems like a fever dream.
The art style reminds me of Floop’s world in Spy Kids.
15:18 I love my job
19:14 Peter losing his mind
What in the actual FUCK is this. Truly one of the weirdest games I've ever seen.
I watched this entire video and still have no idea what the Hell is going on in this game.
This game was basically an intentional shitpost by the devs who were frequently told their games were too "serious"
Fr though, I'd see her anywhere in norcal and she'd fit right in lookin like that
She did complain on twitter pretty recently about the Aircon in the office being too cold, whether their recording room is cold who knows
Peter loves his sweaters too much to care about the heat.
Clothist !
0:52 Ashton is giving in to the madness!
“So it was Earth all along, just like that film Monkey Planet.”
@3:53 'Tastes like Popcorn and Clowns'. Wonder if that's going to be Ben and Jerry's New 'Halloween' ice cream! Thanx Ashton. Peace All
I honestly cannot understand a single thing about this game. It's like a whimsical fever dream.
The weird games keep getting weirder! Keep them coming, PAB.
stroopwaffel is such a funny word
I'm gonna get this, it spoke to me on a spiritual level
I have no idea what the hell just happened, but it was absolutely hilarious. 😂
Eye love my job

Maan, that gave me some solid flashbacks. Weird game for sure but from good times

Please, please, PLEASE cover Super Bonk. That was such a crazy bonkers game!
I do not know how I can go on living life normally after seeing the triple buddies image…

Reminds me a bit of banjo kazooie nuts and bolts with the creating vehicles but with the weirdness ramped right up
Those buddies legit remind me of the gnomes from the ps1 Harry Potter games.
Honestly one of the funniest weirdest games you’ve played!!
A game so great they named it twice.
One of the strangest games I've seen.
Love you guys! Stay strong and carry on!
I feel like this was the kind of "truly bizarre weirdness" that Skullmonkeys tried for and failed.
Got this from some bundle back in the early 2010's, played about 30min and absolutely hated it. Never again.
this game has big Ashton energy
This game looks like what Jak & Daxter would be in a strange dream sequence.
I kept waiting for the band to start singing that it's bad luck to be you
COOKIE CLITTER??!!! 😭😭😭
Forgot the name but there was an MMORPG IIRC that was from the late ninties where you played a farmer in ancient Egypt.
Ah yes, Cargo! The Quest for Gravity my old foe. So we meet again. These are not the first gamers I have watched you break. I fear they will not be the last.
It isn't the weirdest game I've seen but it's certainly weirder than most. 😄
This game would be fun on lsd
Im so glad that the stroopwafel anecdote came ahead of this bonkers game! What a thing to proudly share around! 😂
Will make certain to resupply yall come december 😆👍
My only complaint about Cargo was that it's just too short.
Damn, cargo's short huh
@@murdocnl It's short, but it leaves you waning more.
"I don't think anyone has played this game before" Me neither
But have you played Cargo!….. on WEEEED!?
I remember the first gameplay video I ever saw of this game was TotalBiscuit's WTF is... video series... R.I.P.
Damn what a UA-cam legend he was 🤧

Man I imagined I played this game when someone enters the room. I think I would be ashamed more than if I was watching hardest of porn.
Strong emotions are strictly forbidden here!
I’m so confused, I’ve become irate!
linux pengwings vs microsoft windows orb
this game has late 90s energy even though its from 2011
This is the "Beyond Good & Evil" sequel we all deserve for not buying the first one.
Nice dancing moves
8:30 Is it just me, or did her voice there sound like she was trying to impersonate a famous, or infamous line from a video game?
Amazing!
I don't know why this infuriated me so much. It was just so disjointed and so much was going on yet with zero context, I've never laughed whilst getting annoyed before!
26:50 Panwang warning!
I have some doubts about the science behind the premise of this game.
I saw "Cargo" and thought it was gonna be based on the "Cars" ripoff
Great episode. This looks absolutely awful and disjointed. Weird for the sake of being weird but with no enjoyable gameplay or meaningful story and any context. When is Ashton getting involved with Worst Games Ever?
So has main menu gone the way of memory card’s?
HOW IS OCEAN IF NO GRAVITY PLZ EXPLAIN 😭😭😭
Wait, I actually own this one.
Who the How did someone come up with this? There's so much detail and not enough details at the same time 🤦♂️

I can't wait for that game, next month.

Completely French. If a man in a stripy shirt cycled past with a beret and a baguette, he would say this game was a little too French.
@25:28 is it me or does it sound like Ashton is starting to sing the infamous SOS song made famous by Red Letter Media?
What is this fever dream ? 🤯
Did you shave, Peter? 😩
+1 cookie clitter
I really chose this video to watch while I smoke a J
