Initially, seeing her for the first time in her true raw form, I thought that she's actually a reincarnation of Nito and not Manus. She just generally looked like Death, the grim reaper, and her narrative kinda correlated to it. But... Then I remembered that we already have a reborn Nito which is The Rotten.
You're right, it does sound proud, but also quite sad almost I think it might reflect her and Vendrick's relationship I think; was she hiding her true appearance from him just out of pure need to deceive him, or was it also so she could be with him as a lover too?
+EarthBound Pwny Actually, there's a whole theory about that Remember that Nashandra is a fragment of Manus ? Well those fragments all got "inspiration" from Dusk of Oolacile, to take a new form with which thet could, uh, infiltrate? the world whitout being noticed All Queens must have looked like Dusk in some way
@@bacicinvatteneaca Interesting but no, all the Queens/Daughters of Darkness are explicitly said to be born from the Ancient of the Abyss, who is obviously Manus. They're all a reincarnation of one of his emotions (Hatred/Elana, Want/Nashandra, Loneliness/Nadalia and Fear/Alsanna)
Well thank you, i was wondering where it plays and how i'm not remembering such a cutscene or whatever. It's because it doesn't exist. Still a beautiful composition, glad i opened game's OST.
Underrated track. Dark Souls 2 has some great tracks like the Old Dragon Slayer, Ruin Sentinels, Skeleton Lords and Sir Alonne. Too bad some of the awesome tracks went to bad bosses. Like how in the hell did the Skeleton Lords get such a good track?
I also just realized that this track is kinda unused? The small part of it plays in Nishandra's theme, but why the hell didn't they use the full track when you first meet her in the castle? That would've added so much weight to the encounter...
@@FireStarJutsu They don't use music in normal playthrough, I think they should, but they only compose music for bossfights (every souls game does that I think)
@@Omega-AlexGt They do in some special areas. Like Firelink Shrine and Majula being the hubs, but they have done it outside of hubs like when you meet Gwynevere. Meeting her had a big impact because not only did you meet her after the notorious O&S, but you get a holy like soundtrack. They could have done something similar with putting this soundtrack while you meet the Drangleic Queen. Like it plays everytime you're in the room just like Gwynevere. It would've added more weight to Nashandra's character I feel like. Actually, now that I think about it. They did this with King Vendrick! Why didn't they do the same with Nashandra? Missed opportunity IMO...
@@Omega-AlexGt They chose to leave it out, because the full song is in the soundtrack. What I'm wondering is why? We're not gonna get an answer either way. I'm just wondering out loud :)
The cursed painting says it all about who she really is
A black curse of death
A total bitch

DS2 has so many underrated OSTs
Spoilers :
I love how this plays at the beginning of the Nashandra boss fight
The first half of that boss theme is incredible
Ironic since sister friede's ost reuses it
@@lonekraken2637
oh shit ur right
You can actually hear most of it throughout Nash if u listen closely
Underrated : executioner charriot phase 2
Vendrick, the first simp.
Ds2 is the most magical DS game
My favorite by far as well
Imagine if this were the main menu theme. Then imagine meeting Nashandra at the end of the game...
radagon type beat
I like the original theme more tbh

Brave Undead...
LIGHTNING IS THE BEST
#Alsanna best Manus' daughter
I just can't stop feeling a strange silent hill aura with this ost
Yeah, it kind of reminds me a little bit of "Not Tomorrow" - something about how the notes are played
@@midnightcoffee6463 rad..
Anyone else notice how Nashansra looks kind of like Dusk of Oolacile from the first game?

If by "looks like," you mean they're both pale and blonde, then yes, I think most people have noticed.
Dusk may have become pregnant during her kidnapping, they might actually be Dusk's daughters

@@theepicguy13 Well they wear the same type of dress too
DS2 is the truest successor of Castlevania
more like a successor to king's field

Why wasn't this song used when meeting her? You can only briefly hear it when she comes.
Raime was right, and noone listened to him.
I dont remember hearing this....

2024 anyone ? ❤
