it seems like every week you say that they say some feature is delayed 'cause people are on vacation'... how many vacations do these people take, seriously... 😂
haha I saw someone else point that out too! I should clarify though - he didn't say vacation! I think he said something like 'they were off-work' - to me, it sounded like he was referring to a vacation. But I guess it could have been something else!
As for “personalization” I don’t think there’s a feature I couldn’t care less about. No idea why I would ever want my generations to be homogenized to just one flavour - but that’s just me.
Same. Everytime I hear about personalization I am like "ehh... really?" I like the "sref random" feature because its everytime different style.. So if I use often some photo style I get more often photos? I can prompt for it If I want it.
You know what? I have the exact same reaction! But it will be able to be turned on and off - so I think it will only be a good thing for people who don't write long prompts - they can just sorta teach the bot what they like!
I love these little updates. It's too bad MidJourney is so slow to make improvements, while competitors seem to be moving fast. BTW, I think you meant "parity", not "parody" on the captions. 🙂

Keep it up, Nolan. You are only the messenger, but man MJ sure knows how to disappoint each week. One can almost start to predict these Office Hours recaps: 1.) version 6.x ... almost there but not quite. 2.) website feature nobody wants..almost there but not quite 3.) personal style... almost there but not quite 4.) video or [insert feature] ... almost there but not quite. Honestly, the pace at which MJ is developing is glacial if it wasn't for the inherent quality of their model being streets ahead (but even this gap will not last forever), I would see almost no reason to subscribe to MJ.
3d and video going well. Version 7 will be better at understanding...well duhhhh!
😂 I know what you meant! But for me, at least, I try to keep it in perspective - that in like 10 years, you could look back and see what they were saying from week to week. And I think it's super cool that a CEO even takes the time to talk to regular people once a week!
it is devastating that midjourney seems to make no progress... and they are working on too many features, even some super useless things like rooms... (only in my opinion) I love to play around n stuff, but some improvements would be really nice, since they teased a lot of stuff months ago... Still Midjourney is my favourite image creation tool haha
I agree, and I also say that here in Brazil it costs a lot! The minimum wage here is R$1,600, it costs $30 = R$150 per month, this price should also include video generation... which I think will take a long time for them to launch this mode!
Yea, krea & leonardo were late to the party now they BOTH got video gen tools.
Maybe they are a bunch of perfectionists??
If they are then it is restricting them moving forward.

That MJ team gotta trim their workload of those room and whutnot as they can exist on discord without any interference to the website which is getting sluggish and glitchy at times. Work on archiving and organization features and maintain quality standards and focus on new MJ versions instead of "slightly different" 6.1. Don't become another Apple.

I was hoping it would NOT be like Discord.
I thiiiiiink what he meant by that was literally just the features themselves - not necessarily the look or feel. But things that are currently only available on Discord will then be reinterpreted on the website

Hey, bit frustrating with the roll outs. I hope they havent spent too much time and effort on these rooms? They sound pretty flat?
Ive finally made the jump to the website. Still a bit clunky with uploading images and then clicking on the use prompt button and it removes the image... grrrr.
I also found out if u click on magnify glass on your own images it loads up a load of other generations which are similar. Super cool.
Wonder what other gems are knocking about.
Make sure to click on both 'prompt' and 'image', it will then include the image in the prompt
@@andreasmoyseos5980 oh yea, i never meant it like that, i meant its fiddly when u upload a picture then click on an old pic you created and click the use [prompt] button. It then gets rid of the uploaded image and u gotta start again.
They should do it so the uploaded pic just gets shunted along NOT removed.
Yah I like that search thing!! I think I'll mention it in an upcoming video

I think I just use it for non fast promts (saves changing it on website) and describe . Theres probably more but hard to figure everything out.

these features like personalization and private/public rooms is honestly just a waste of time. MJ should've just focused on important things like v6, v7, 3d, and video. SMH.
I think they have different teams working on different things!
I think Midjourney is one of the best artistic AI platforms around and I expect them to do great things in the future. They are privately owned, not open source, and they have a ton of support behind them. I think relaxing the censor bots will help, better flexibility as it continues to evolve, and not leaning towards bias will help over all. But honestly, being a beta user of MJ, I'm excited to see where they take the platform.
