The timing of this is incredible. My daughter had a seizure last night right before we were all heading to bed. Obviously it's very stressful. So today you wake up tired and exhausted as your mind runs. Wrestling with the Lord. Thank you John and the team for this devotion today and pointing us back towards Jesus.
Lord, we lift Brandon and his family up as they walk through this trying time. We ask for your peace to cover them, your strength to sustain them, and your healing presence to surround his daughter. Amid worry and exhaustion, draw them close to you, steady their minds, and remind them of your unfailing love. Thank you for the support they find in this devotion and the community around them. The LORD has been teaching this very thing to me over most of my life. I didn’t get for many years. When I look back over the years I can see the pattern. Sometimes He leaves me in place for awhile before He acts. Sometimes it isn't the answer I wanted. Sometimes it is the answer I hoped for but not until the last mintue. I have learned that He always hears me, loves me, and provides for me. I am grateful He has never given up on me.
Sometimes it hurts not knowing. My wife’s upcoming major surgery is weighing on me, the timing, the outcome, the whole process. John, you’ve given me a lot to think about. Thank you. I’m left wondering about the answers. I know I’m hurting. I know God is always good. Lord, help me find the answers I need. Help me to grow in whatever way I need to grow.
Bruce, I love your response here. Honest, raw, and so humble. Jesus, you are always good. Please help Bruce see your answers, and help him grow in whatever way he needs. And I'm asking you to please take great care of his wife. May this surgery be guided by your healing hands. - Brad

Thank you! Sometimes when I'm anxious, or uncertain and my prayers are just building up inside of me; I am calmed by knowing God Knows and God will let me know at the right time. Then I ask God to help me wait in peace for Him.
