Nobody sings like Scott, can nobody give so much melancholy on the voice like him.
so true
its like Bowie built for Grunge
I would put Layne Staley and Chris Cornell at the top of the list my own opinion😉
Layne Staley. Do your research before making such a nonsensical spontaneous utterance.
Holy smokes!! I just came across this last night and had honestly forgotten about this song. I love it so much when I was about 10 years old. That was 25 years ago. Needless to say, when this played, I just sat on my couch covered in chills and a little emotional. I’ve listened again this morning because DAMN… I still feel it in my soul. It’s such a beautiful song and his voice is absolutely that of an angel. This song was about his first wife and their divorce because he couldn’t be faithful to her. Scott rarely played it live because it was too emotional for him. God rest his soul… drugs are so devastating. We lost one of the best that day…
Thank you for uploading this!! I like this better than the original version.
Man that string section at 1:20...Also Scotts wardrobe is fucking amazing here. That suit with those platform shoes makes him look very slick.
My favorite Stone Temple Pilots song.
Excellent Re-Mastering!! Thank you!! Such a shame Scott fell to his demons and left us, as I truly believe he was one of the most talented frontmen out there who could really sing anything and do it at a top tier level.
That MF’r had some damn charisma. Damn I loved STP…
I’m glad I got to see them on tour in 2000
I swear he always gave me David Bowie vibes, I mean that as the ultimate compliment
He has a similar elegance and strong presence on stage
I love the way he moves. Reminds me of Robert plant. So sexual and fluid but very confident and cool. It’s like he lets the music just move him however it likes and he submits to it. It’s beautiful.
Scott Weiland had the most impressive self controlled noise gate on his entire range
Such a great voice.
Pure professional singing and playing. Raw talent , gifts brought to life and shared. Thank You God, for these gifts , and thanks Scott and gang for the share. Really amazing ....
Such a great track, as well as placement right before “no way out.” Love it!
Led zeppelin had "dancing days", Stone Temple Pilots "Sour girl". I don't know why but both songs remind me of one another, let alone STP used to sing the zeppelin song with great results, just like everytime Scott sang The doors stuff and even Nirvana ( "fraces farmer will have her revenge on Seattle ", especifically). What a voice, what a frontman, but also what a magical group of musicians these guys are. Scott's gone and a huge emptiness was left, but we gotta cherish the remaining members who are still alive and rocking with Jeff ❤️
Maybe because STP covered dancing days? That could have influenced Scott on the track
Absolutely flawless
Great tribute to Scott. Great song. Thank you for sharing.
Saw them in 2000, twice…Scott sounded so great then, miss him💔
Seems like he is slowly floating in the air while he sings
Rest well beautiful 😊🤟🤟
I love the album versions but the acoustics rock! Great tribute to Scott.
so so so good
Right after being Released from Jail Scott said we have to Put out Sour Girl .Great Call
Don't try and follow the bassline. You get lost in magic...
thank you for this honoring this awesome performance!
Beautiful like junior brown live performance aswell
This song is genius.
Гениальное исполнение
Man. These guys were great.
Man, they were great. Thank you for sharing this. Edit: The only quibble I have, and it's a minor one, is that I don't totally agree with the mix. I think we could use a bit more of Scott's voice, a bit more of Dean's guitar, a little less of the string section and maybe just a hair less of Rob's bass.
Love
RIP Scott. Thanks for uploading
It'd be insane if someone could fix MTV Storytellers 🙏
Everybody needs to join the 27 club. Oh wait Scott lived longer.. well good for us all.
Amo essa música boa demais
Pure awesomeness
His ghost talks just like me
holy shit was that really almost a quarter of the century ago...
❤
la melicita TnT

So good. Much better than that joke STP tribute band currently led by the De Leo bros
24 yrs seems like yesterday...wow
I sure hope Scott is with his dad on David bowie island
