I believe the reason why most people make William Afton look like an almost normal dude with brown hair is because of his depiction in the FNAF The Silver Eyes Graphic Novel. I have read it and in it he is depicted as a pretty normal dude with brown hair and brown (or blue, it’s hard to tell) eyes. His purple pixel sprite is from the games. Also, there are two purple people, William Afton ( The Purple Guy/the killer), and Michael Afton (William’s oldest son). Michael turns purple in FNAF Sister Location ( FNAF 5) after getting all of his internal organs scooped out by his sister (Elizabeth/Baby) and having his body be used as a skin suit by the animatronic Ennard for anywhere from a week to several months, in which time his body decomposed and turned purple. After that the animatronic left his body, but not before Elizabeth gave him some remnant which kept him from dying and he continued on as a walking corpse. Also, canonically, Michael Looks so similar to his father William that even Elizabeth, his own sister, couldn’t quite tell them apart.
Ok, going to defend the whole community… five months later- William’s design is actually partially took by the books too, also we have a somewhat imagine of Michael’s design and we know that they look alike, so that’s why the human design looks like that. The alias “daddy” is because his daughter Elizabeth calls him that, as you can hear from her voice lines. Butttt you’re right on a whole lot of things in this video! As a gacha fnaf content creator, I’m questioning this just as much as everyone else. It’s like the community is split. You have the chill side that makes their own content, has their own interpretation of the lore and characters, and is generally supportive of other creators, then you have the “bro wtf” side.
Theres three people in the Fnaf community. 1.the one that simps over characters 2.the one that changes the canon lore compleatly(male cassidy,elizabeth being blonde,elizabeth being named CV6P or smth,etc) 3.The one that ACTUALLY goes by the lore and sticks to whats canon AND NOT SIMPING OVER WIRES and does not ship anything weird like mennard.

quick correction: William isn't a purple blob. He's in the shadows and the 8bit style depicts Shadows as purple. William has an actual design as a human in the graphic novels and is also described in the normal version.
This is literally why gacha is given a reputation like this, the toxic part, which would sort of be most of the community. The other day I was at school, I’ve seen people harass this kid because he was playing Gacha and how they asked him if he was doing heat stuff for UA-cam. As a gacha fnaf content creator, I’m questioning this just as much as everyone else. It’s like the community is split. You have the chill side that makes their own content, has their own interpretation of the lore and characters, and is generally supportive of other creators, then you have the “bro wtf” side.

This is literally why gacha is given a reputation like this, the toxic part, which would sort of be most of the community. The other day I was at school, I’ve seen people harass this kid because he was playing Gacha and how they asked him if he was doing heat stuff for UA-cam. As a fellow gacha user, I was ashamed of seeing people thinking we all we’re like that.

as a gacha fnaf creator, i do agree that everything in this video is really *”bro wtf”* , but this is only one side of the community, there are people who have their own opinions on the lore and just express them through gacha. just because they use gacha doesnt mean theyre cringe, it may be their preferred content creator, or maybe they just can do they other ways (animating, drawing, etc.). i do agree that this side of the community is super cringe though.

Although, it's not 100 % canon, it does have canon elements so many people just use his character design from the books to make William in gacha. However, it has been altered a bit. Small nitpick but Glitchtrap ( the yellow & purple rabbit ) & William are the same person however in the video it shows them as 2 different people. It's small but it kind of bothered me so I wanted to point that out. ( Edit : " Daddy " is a name his daughter Elizabeth calls him so don't worry. " )
