Mathematics Open Day 2021 at the University of Cambridge - Dr Orsola Rath Spivack talks about the Mathematics of Imaging, starting from the applications to the real world, from medical diagnostic to detecting buried mines or earthquake faults, from monitoring the health of tropical forests to fighting crime! Then the mathematical issues related to 'ill-posed' problems are illustrated with some examples, and some interesting consequences of doing applied calculations are briefly discussed.
