4498 - Loaded test run 17 May 2022

- 4498 'Sir Nigel Gresley' seen here at Shrewsbury during it's first mainline loaded test run, with 47614 on the rear.
It is seen approaching Shrewsbury Station, then reversing to Coton Hill sidings for servicing, and finally passing through Shrewsbury en route to Crewe via Wolverhampton.
Well that was a surprise Rob, a nice little trip out for you and good to see the 'Black Streak' ....A nice view of the box in last clip, wonder how long it's got left. Cheers, Brian.
It was a long planned trip to my brother's neck of the woods to explore the area's railway history and pure good fortune the A4's run was same day. Would have been rude not to catch it. It was only phone footage and annoyingly I didn't spot until afterwards that the resolution had changed from 4k to a lower setting, presumably when my phone did an update. Still, it was better than nothing. Cheers, Rob
