I had such a blast playing around with metallics. I really liked the way my splatter tree looked, and I was pleasantly surprised how well my wreaths came out. I had to put all my paints away so I could turn my attention to Christmas and I think I might of had a sad face while doing so. lol Thanks, Ellen, I loved it!
I am a beginner watercolor fan, with a passion for the medium, and I find your gift and style perfect for me. Ilike the loose abstract Images you produce.
Thank you, Ellen, these are great! I’m glad to hear someone else that says “poin-set-ta” in stead of ‘“poin-set-ti-ah”! When I grew up we said it like you, then the last 10 years or so they started saying it the other way. It may be right, but I still like it the other way😁
Gee you do make it look so easy. So easy I think I’ll give it a try. Somehow I don’t think mine will turn out so nice. I see lots of stroke practice on scratch paper in my future. Thank you so much for showing us these beautiful cards.
It's so much fun all the clever little things that you come up with. I always paint some sort of Christmas cards, but this year, my brother died 17 days ago, and it's been hard thinking of something that even though it would have been normal, wasn't overwhelming. I didn't want to bring everyone else down too. This is the perfect thing. Thank you so much!!!
It’s not even Christmas, and I am not nearly done with summer. But I happened across this UA-cam video and I just had to comment. What a talent you are …. you take nothing and make it something wonderful! I love these cards and you just might’ve put me in the Christmas spirit even though it’s 90° here in North Carolina, thank you Ellen for all of your contributions to the art world and for the amateur artists that enjoy you so much.
I am a total beginner and yet I managed to make the tree and it was a HUGE jawdropping hit. You saved my Christmas!!! 🙂 I wish you happy holidays and a great new year!
Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. You lessons are always fun and I am so happy when I'm able to make a pretty card for someone in my family by watching one of your videos. Happy Holidays to you and yours! :)

What a wonderful video! Thank you, Ellen. I ordered all kinds of paints, LOL, and black paper and white and have been having a blast. This is a REALLY good way to learn my brushes as well - I don't usually work this fine, and so I have to relearn the nuances of the wee little brushes.
You are my best entertainment… I can’t do what you do, but I feel like watching you
