Great video! I recently cleaned out the tub and such because I needed to replace the bearings. Inside was a hole tshirt shreaded. It was still giving me the code now. So I will be checking the pumps tomorrow.
You should go In from the top and remove the basket then remove what you need plus makes it easier to remove everything plus you can manually clean the washer.
That process is intense! The drum is almost impossible to take out without the proper tools! I've used hangers to fish out rags, socks, and gloves. It's a hassle honestly.
This is the second video in which this procedure was instructed. the other guy found a sock in his. I followed the steps and my machine has nothing clogging it down in this area. Still getting 5d error.
Mine is putting lil small white pieces all over my clothes/towels/etc.... Im trying to figure out HOW to find the lint trap in my whirlpool cabrio 580🤦🏾♀️
@@LoganT547 I wish that was it, I'd be so happy if this was the fix. I tried it even with half of detetgent (I use the liquid detergent) and its still doing it. 😕
These things are a hassle! I can usually use a minimum of 4 tools and make a difference. SOMEONE has the answer to your issue! KEEP LOOKING! YOU CAN DO IT!
Maybe I should have included this in the video; the debris are knotted and that's where the clogging issues come in. Thin scissors would help to cut some of the hair and string. Thanks for commenting USMC PATRIOT
You do not need to touch the pumps. They're the basket looking white pieces of plastic. One has a blue wire going into it and the other has a red wire.
Whyyy does no one show how they got to the starting point of their video?! Is this the back of the washer?...the bottom???...what?!? I am certain this is my issue but how do I get there?! HELP??? 😩😩😩
Hello- This is the bottom of my washer. Thanks for your comment, it is important to let UA-camrs know what exactly we could improve within our videos. If your washer has water inside do your best to scoop/shop-vac the remaining water out before you lay it on its face. Then, lay a towel and get some help to make the process less strenuous! Once the washer is down the battle is just beginning haha I would suggest you wear cloth (gardening) gloves to keep your delicate hands from being pinched and scraped as you remove those pesky clamps! From there? I literally found an entire sponge shredded in this exact draining hole MONTHS AFTER THIS VIDEO! So look out! Rugs, Sponges, Socks, pretty much ANYTHING can irritate our dear Top Load Whirlpool Cabrio Washers. 9 out of 10x YOU DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A PURCHASE. THE ANSWER IS WITHIN THE WASHER. Especially if the washer is still in good shape. GOOD LUCK! LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES!
I had the same problem. You lay the washer down on its back and work from underneath, I took the back off of mine only to find a white drum. It's under the washer. Good luck.

Thank you! I've worked on mine before, but now getting the Sd error, so I'm going to try this. Thank you very much.
No problem! Tell us how it worked!!
There was a quarter stuck in mine 😳😫thanks 😊👍🏾
Excellent! Tried and worked. Thanks for the vid❤
No problem 🫶🏽 good luck! 🍀
Thank you! Bc as a woman, being able to do this is type crazy lol props! And no we don’t have all the tools lmao 😂
Lollll omggg! I watch this video now like "oh gosh..." - as women, WE TRYYYYY!!

Are you saying I could’ve reached this area from the top!? Sounds like a task! This was so simple.
@@goateduniversity6800 well you would have to take the tub out and it would be more thourough than this probably was
@@appliancealliance4444 I don't get paid that much an hour so the shortest simplest is best for me and I dont get paid milage
More thorough and probably faster to do it from the top. Take drum out (lil process but not bad) then the filter cover is 2 screws

How do you not spill water? I’m about to try now
I literally had to remove the water manually with a large cup and a bucket
There was a sock stuck in mines so how do you reset it
Hold any button on the machine down for 5 seconds 3x and it'll read for any codes and notify you if the washer still needs assistance.
Good luck
Is this the back of the washer? I’m having issues and feel so lost
Its the bottom of the washer
Thank you!!
Thank you for you comment!
Why does it seem so simple when you watch a video. Found no serious debre to clog drain impeller seems to be intact.
Mine is putting lil small white pieces all over my clothes/towels/etc.... Im trying to figure out HOW to find the lint trap in my whirlpool cabrio 580🤦🏾♀️
It's cause you're using too much powder and it can't dissolve properly

Bearings went out on my WP Cabrio...😢😢😢
next time use a vacuum to suck out the debris....a wet vac is best / plus a flexible wire small brush helps.....thanx

U did not show how to get to the pumps ,where are they?

Totally agree!!!!
You need nose paier
If they come any smaller I missed the memo lol, you need something thin and durable to cut through or tug on debris
I mean nose plaier
@@ibrahimbarahmeh4645 "Needle nose pliers"...seriously....LOL 🤣
shop vacuum
not when fibers are wet and knotted

YOU DON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A FILTER AND A PUMP? Why am I watching this?
Thumbnail gotcha :)
