  • A Thillana is a vibrant and rhythmic dance composition, typically performed after a Bharatanatyam recital. Known for its intricate footwork and lively rhythmic patterns, the Thillana showcases the dancer's technical prowess and joyful expression. While primarily focused on rhythm and movement, it often concludes with a short devotional verse, blending artistry with spiritual reverence.
This Paras Thillana, set in Ragam Paras and Adi Talam, was composed by Poochi Srinivasa Iyengar. It praises Goddess Rajarajeshwari, Lord Shiva's beloved, who embodies grace, compassion, and the balance of the cosmos.
    Vocalist: T.H. Thyagarajan
