He did say that it "ballooned over the last year" and he'd had it since he was 12. Doctors often turn down treating what Dr. does because insurance doesn't cover elective, non-life threatening procedures. People pay or when folks are desperate, Dr. Lee covers their costs through subscriptions.
I’ve really run out of superlatives to describe her. Between what she does, how she does it, and her winning personality, I can simply summarize that she’s an exemplary human being.
He said at the time it was still very small. So doctors must have thought it wasnt tworth the money or the pain to remove a small one. Remember not everyone can just outright afford this
Taking someone's medical license and ending their career seems a bit harsh to me. His life wasn't in danger. It was a cosmetic issue, and he said it's "ballooned in the last year". The doctor's correctly realized that it was not harmful to simply leave alone. You sound like you think a server who forgets to being your extra mayonnaise should be fired. Get over yourself!
Unfortunately many ppl get this so called "diagnosis" and actually really do need help. They dont understand because in 5mins when u get back in the car to drive home, the dr has already forgotten & moved on with his life not being empathetic to imagine that being his life 24/7... I've had many surgeries in my life so I am very experienced in this topic & the main issue is when a dr doesnt know what it is or if they dont want to do tasks that they feel "aren't important enough " they just try to push u out the door & have it be someone else's problem
Cosmetic. It's not medically necessary to remove and is for appearance "only" so most insurance companies don't pay. Dr. Lee is able to fund her practice from self-pay, what insurance covers, and filming of patients, either by youtube where most of a patients identity is concealed and she can get paid from advertisers through youtube. Or TLC which probably pays all or a portion for airfare, and the doctors appointment / removal.
@@karamcdonald9817, not true. I know several people as well as myself who had these removed with full insurance coverage. Not as big as this, but this should never have gotten that big.
the usa is such a sad place. The so-called Christians are not interested in public health insurance , even if people suffer, like this man, so sad. It's so hypocritical.
Congratulations on your enormous cyst removal, Ronan!😊 And Great Job to Dr. Lee for IMMENSELY improving the Quality of this Patient's Life!💖👏🏽❤️ I sooo admire her ability to help change the lives of people worldwide, for the better!
The more you watch the more you realize how much this doctor significantly affects lives. Thank you Dr Lee for all that you do and with your compassion you show with every patient. I graduated nursing school in the sixties and I so wish your genuine caring was more widely spread among physicians. I put doctors in two categories over the years. Their are MDs who have a license to practice medicine then there are those who have MD but have so much more in how they practice and I view them as Physicians, the true healers. They see patients as a whole person and treat them with compassion.
I've been wanting to watch this whole video for a long time and I finally did. By the way, for those of you who don't know, the reason why the contents looked like pearl white oatmeal or cottage cheese is because he had the cyst on his leg for a few decades. Dr. Lee had a patient who had a cyst with contents like grits and chives
The sound it makes when she cut it open..😳😳 I bet the pressure relief he felt was amazing, happy that she was able to help him when no other Dr would..
No you're not, I've probably watched 👀 it like 20 times or more. And I will probably still watch it more, lol. You can see the relief in his face as soon as she made the first cut. But he was very grateful to have had her do it for him, since so many other doctors told him that it wasn't a big deal. That was a BIG deal. Happy he had it done though 😊.
So blessed to have a talented dr in America that is so selfless!!! Then she shares the most gratifying testimonials of surgeries. I am most grateful. Bless Dr. Pimple Popper's hands may they never tire. Thank you for sharing.
First time I saw it, it felt like my own leg was hurting, although all my life I’ve been paralyzed from the waist down. Lol that’s pretty twisted, right ?
I can’t believe the greedy doctors just told this poor man , “it’s not a big deal, just leave it alone”🙄we need better more compassionate medical professionals...😠
I had a small cyst surgically removed from my arm and there was a brief moment of pain, but because the area was small, a quick second shot numbed it right away. I'm surprised this guy wasn't put under anesthesia since there was so much that needed to be removed and he actually had to endure some pain. People undergoing dental surgery and even colonoscopies get put under, so why did this guy have to suffer at all?
I can not believe other doctors said don’t worry about it. Really makes you wonder. Thank you Dr. Lee. This guy is so sweet and kind. I swear I’ve met him.

He's lucky that the cyst did not get infected. If he thought he was in pain before...an abscessed cyst of that size would have been extremely painful and could have been fatal.
