Rules:
Sport - Billiards (Russian billiards - Pyramid).
Game - Dynamic pyramid.
Only one (colored) ball is the cue ball. Players can pocket any ball (cue ball too). The first player to pocket eight balls wins the frame.
After the cue ball is pocketed, scorer must choose an any ball to be taken off the table.
The player then has colored ball in-hand and may place it anywhere on the table but may not pocket it until the next stroke, can only pocket an aiming ball.
The main rule of foul: After the cannon (if the ball has not into the pocket), any ball must touch two different cushions or touch the cushion and roll over the middle of the table.

Очень люблю смотреть бильярд! Именно бильярд, а не крупным планом лица соперников. Нам показывают долго и подробно, как выглядят лица игроков, душевное напряжение, смену эмоций, забывая при этом о том, что происходит на столе. При таком мощном оборудовании и возможностей для съёмки ТАК представить игру для зрителя - надо сильно постараться. Оценка: жирная двойка.

В бильярде главный соперник это ты сам ,обуздать свои эмоции ,волнение не так-то просто . Начинаеш волноваться теряеш запас собранности , для обычного зрителя это ничто но если сталкиваешся с этим вживую бильярд предстает совсем в другом свете.

Using your hand so often deliberatly to place the cueball goes against the billiard spirit that i love : the beauty of the game is that you must obey mathematical/physical rules when using a cue all along. Using your hand must remain a punishment for making it unavoidable.
Hey, Lyokas- from snooker point of view that's against billiard rules. However in Russian billiard balls are bigger and holes are usually few millimeters bigger than ball. Beatty of this game is in scoring cue ball, after that you can place ball wherever you want, so it is counted as two, but sometimes you can still miss from hand ball )))
@@mansurrussayev9372 hi man. i am sure there is a beauty to russian billiard too as you say and people obviously love it for good reasons. I am just saying i have been playing during my chilhood french billiard competitively (which has no holes at all) and this russian billiard seems so unorthodox compared to french billiard (carambole) or snooker or pool. i dont see myself playing this kind of game because i want to cope with rules of physics as long as i can, that is the charm to me, replacing the ball with my hands is something that i absolutely want to avoid because to me it is like a shortcut, a way to avoid rules.

I started to figure out what’s going on here ( as a snooker player first time seeing this game). My observation is that
1. Must pot the ball hard. Otherwise, the ball will rattle and be caught by the pocket.
2. Obtuse angle should play with in-off, not too hard though.
3. When canon, play with check side to induce angle.

This would be a different version of pyramid, meaning you score points by potting the balls or playing in-off (canon the cue ball to the pocket). If in-off is scored, you can place the cue ball anywhere on the table, and subsequently remove an object ball from the table.

I didn't understand something right. In your comment you only mention cannons. But in the match I see them playing for a straight pots as well. Is there any rule that prevents going for multiple white ball pots? Because if I'm not mistaken they seem to alternate between going for a cannon and then going for a white pot, and then going for the cannon again (?)
Another question I have when I watch videos of Pyramid is why do players seem to hit the ball so hard? Are the cushions soft and can be compressed, so forcing the ball in is the best option? Because in snooker and pool, the softer you play the more chances you have for the pocket to accept the ball

Мне понравилось, как комментатор сказал, что игроки многое берут из снукера! А мне кажется, что всё совершенно наоборот. Что они взяли из снукера! Наши билиардные законодатели пошли по линии примитивизации игры, была единственная умная игра на русском биллиарде - это старая пирамида до 71 очка, её вообще нет!!!
