J Knox to be honest with you i think luxury cars in mercedes’s range are the maybach 62s, the maybach s650, and the maybach g-wagen.

@Clinchfield 311 Damn right the Mercedes-Maybach is better than any Rolls Royce. They have stayed true to the classic style that looked great and distinctive through like 1925 to the 90's but the problem is that when they "modernized" the design in early 00's they created a really boring and cheap look to it and from then, they have not changed more than 10% of the already failed design.
Bentley have managed to modernise their models recently and still kept all their true values to the brand and the customers.
And Rolls Royce cabins look like pimped out tractor interiors.
Rolls Royce is so bad (in my opinion) that 95% of the purchase decision is based on the brand and that it costs more than competitors models so multi millionaires can feel exclusive.
If Rolls Royces would cost 80 000$ then maybe it would make some sense but i would still go for an AMG S65L or a Maybach and pay more money.
And the starry sky lightings is a trick that should only impress children but RR advertises it as the coolest thing invented.

I think Mercedes and their special Maybach/AMG versions are at the top of what is made if you want altogether good engineering, design, mechanic, sturdiness, high quality and brand reputation. Even Rolls-Royce or Bentley would not check all the boxes like Mercedes is able to, especially regarding modern features and reliability. To me they are simply out of range and surpass any other car maker, no question.

Before all, thx an ocean for bringing beauty, power, and safety all combined through presenting world- class German cars. Whenever I look at them, I 'm just left speechless at how gorgeous, powerful, reassuring, safe, and reliable a car can be. Sadly, I live in Iran, where cars powered with V6, V8, and V12 engines are not allowed to be imported and driven. We are deprived of all these beauties. However, there are a few people benefiting from political advantages who can drive these cars in Iran while others always begrudge... 😔 Moreover, for driving such masterpieces u have to pay 4 or 5 times more in Iran than what u pay in other countries.
I wish I could own one of these babies at least.

Beautiful all the way around. But once you have "pride of ownership," you begin to wonder if Mercedes makes drivers to go with this particular vehicle. High security cars require trained drives as much as other forms of security. It's not like you can put a spare driver in the boot, next to the jack and the spare, is it? Or do they give you a free driver replacement any time within the first 100,000 km of road lifetime? :)
