i do, but id like to see how proffesionals do theirs so i can get some ideas for my own sounds :)
bart wassink what I do is experiment with my sounds learn a little bit about the plugins you use first aswell and that's about it. I started like 1 month ago djing and producing already have an idea for a track and it's almost finished aswell. I really enjoy making music and I spent a lot of time on it. Experimenting is the key to succes in this industry (what I think) and enjoying doing it.

Is it just me or too much distortion make good sound design sound like crap shit? Edit: dissonance changed to distortion.
on that lazery synth, its not the dissonance, but i can hear that the 'metal' noise filter on massive is turned up a little bit too high IMO
HooverBeast Well dissonance and distortion serve basically the same function. You are right tho they are not interchangeable.
It's because of the mastering. BA compresses the shit out of everything. GG dynamics.
NativeAUS everything is really compressed before the mastering, too. they premaster all the loud parts of the song with a lot of limiting and saturation, that in combination with the mastering gives it that overcompressed feel
