    Rejoice, rejoice, O Bethany!
On this day God came to thee,
And in Him the dead are made alive,
As it is right for He is the Life.
When Martha went to receive Him,
    Grieving loudly with bitter tears,
She poured out the sorrow of her heart to Him
With great sadness, wailing her lament.
She at once cried out unto Him:
"My most compassionate Lord, my Lord,
At the great loss of my brother Lazarus
My heart is broken, help me."
Jesus said to her, "Cease your weeping,
    Cease your grieving and sad lament;
For your brother, My most beloved friend, Lazarus,
    Very soon will live again."
    Then He, the faithful Redeemer,
Made His way unto the tomb,
Where he cried unto him who was buried four days,
Calling him forth, saying "Lazarus, arise."
Come with haste, ye two sisters,
    And behold a wondrous thing,
For your brother from the tomb has returned to life.
To the beloved Redeemer now give thanks.
To Thee, O Lord of creation,
We kneel down in reverence profound,
For all we who are dead in sin,
In Thee, O Jesus, are made alive.

If you look into the ways that the Apostles were killed( for their faith in Christ) like being boiled or crucified upside down, it is clear that people wouldn't do this for something they didn't see. That just doesn't make sense.3. You have to have faith in Jesus Christ, accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and open you heart to Him. Have a great day brother. ✝️

@@cronic6707 oh my dear deluded friend... your lack of any kind of skepticism is quite astounding... but let us look at your claims...
1 - which bible? You do know there are at least 4 main divisions of the book you call the Bible... the one with the least amount of books, the Protestant bible, only has 66 books within it... the Catholic bible has 73 books in it... the Eastern Orthodox bible has 81 books in it... and the Ethiopian bible has 86 iirc... sorry, doing this from memory... not only that, these books are all written by men, for men... selelcted by other men, to create a COLLECTION of books which we now call the bible. It wasn't as though anyone set out to write THE bible... they were just writing their stories their way. Later other men compiled the ones they liked into a single volume.. an anthology, shall we say. Most of the books that ended up in the NT were written many decades after the supposed events took place... not only that, at least 2/3 of those books are anonymous... so we do not know WHO wrote them, none of them claim to be by eyewitnesses, in fact, some of the gospels even state that they are collections of stories that the author sought out...

The Saturday before Palm Sunday is known as Lazarus Saturday. When Jesus traveled to Bethany to raise his friend from the dead. Lazarus had 2 sisters, Mary and Martha. This chant tells the story. The Orthodox church is beautiful and mystical. You will experience a fullness of faith and peace that you will not find anywhere else. Eastern Catholic Church came to be after massive war crimes against the Orthodox Church in 12/13th centuries, as Rome's attempt to replace the Orthodox Church. Monks were killed, People were killed, Orthodox patriarchs of Constantinople, Antioch , Jerusalem and Cypress were killed and driven away from their sees. Muslims were actually the liberators after the crusaders. We Orthodox don't like even to hear anything about Eastern Catholic (Byzantine Rite Catholic Church) ! Just to let you know, don't even mention damned imitators in front of the Orthodox Christians. In 1204 Crusaders sacked Constantinople, killed the Patriarch and enthroned the local prostitute at his place in attempt to humiliate the Orthodox Church, one of examples how Byzantine Rite Catholic Church or Eastern Catholic Church came to be.

There is one faith, one hope, and one baptism
One God and Father of all
There is one church, one body, one life in the Spirit
Now given so freely to all
And He gave to Simon Peter
    And to all the twelve
    The keys of the Kingdom
    So darkness shall never prevail
    But some of the shepherds
Have pastured themselves on their sheep
So He has come out against them
And scattered His people of faith

Your wish for the vague promise of something after you die.. leads you to focus there... which means that you take this life here for granted... a place to wipe your feet, so to speak... so so sad... really.

You could always take a look at the Orthodox Church in America. While it may fall under the category of "through a Russian Lens" (as it grew out of the Russian Church) it is an explicitly pan-ethnic Church, offering services exclusively in English and connecting itself to the Russian Missionaries in 18th century Alaska. Though there are some disputes about its autocephaly, it is nevertheless considered fully Orthodox and in communion with all other Orthodox Churches.

Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. Matthew 6:7 is the seventh verse of the sixth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew in the New Testament and is part of the Sermon on the Mount. This verse continues the discussion on the proper procedure for praying.
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads:
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions,
as the heathen do: for they think that they
shall be heard for their much speaking.
He gives the example of what is now called the Lord's prayer, but he abjures you from reciting repetitive prayer.. he wants heartfelt prayer...not rote repetition...

In the eastern scales system, each scale is consisted of two parts , the root and branch (that's what we call it in Arabic) and the name of the scale is named according to the name of the root (the last note of the musical piece must be first note of the root and we call it the base note). for example if your base note in this hymn is G then its root is :
      G A(b) B C (we call it Hijaz scale)
its branch is : C D E(b) F (we call it Minor scale or Nahawand scale) and that's why you felt the presence of the minor scale because the minor scale is the secondary part of the whole scale.
but since its root is Hijaz then, the whole scale is Hijaz

Rejoice, rejoice, O Bethany! On this day God came to thee, God came to thee; and in Him the dead are made alive, as is right for He is the Life! He is the Life! He is the Life! And in Him the dead are made alive, as is right for He is the Life!
When Martha went to receive Him, grieving loudly with bitter tears, bitter tears, she poured out the sorrow of her heart to Him, with great sadness, wailing her lament. Wailing her lament, wailing her lament. She poured out the sorrow of her heart to Him, with great sadness, wailing her lament.
She at once cried out unto Him, “My most compassionate Lord! My Lord! At the great loss of my brother Lazarus my heart is broken, help me! Help me! Help me! At the great loss of my brother Lazarus my heart is broken, help me!
Jesus said to her, “Cease thy weeping, cease thy grieving and sad lament, sad lament; for thy brother, My most beloved friend Lazarus, very soon will live again! He will live again! He will live again! For thy brother, My most beloved friend Lazarus, very soon will live again!”
Then He, the faithful Redeemer, made His way unto the tomb, unto the tomb, where He cried unto him who was buried four days, calling him forth, saying, “Lazarus, arise! Lazarus, arise! Lazarus, arise!” Where He cried unto him who was buried four days, calling him forth, saying, “Lazarus, arise!
Come with haste, ye two sisters, and behold a wondrous thing, wondrous thing, for thy brother from the tomb has returned to life. To the beloved Redeemer now give thanks! Now give thanks! Now give thanks! For thy brother from the tomb has returned to life. To the beloved Redeemer now give thanks!
To Thee, O Lord of creation, we kneel down in reverence profound, reverence profound; for all we who are dead in sin; in Thee, O Jesus, are made alive! We are made alive! We are made alive! For all we who are dead in sin; in Thee, O Jesus, are made alive!
Rejoice, rejoice, O Bethany! On this day God came to thee, God came to thee; and in Him the dead are made alive, as is right for He is the Life! He is the Life! He is the Life! And in Him the dead are made alive, as is right for He is the Life!

I am grateful that there is Byzantine chant translated into my language so I can understand the theology. This is for the Glory of God, and for the conversion of hearts- not for your own personal sense of aesthetics. Think about it.
