Watching this superb dancing has inspired my wife and I to return to dancing after 18 years away. Between 1982 and 1998 apart from competing ourselves we were privileged to watch Blackpool and all the other major competions. We have seen all the great dancers of that period numerous times in competion, demonstrations and lectures. Marcus and Karen of course were the outstanding couple of the era and took dancing to new heights. We were initially inspired by Stephen and Lindsey Hillier who we were fortunate enough to have lessons with. Wonderful times.There was also the wonderful dancing of Andrew Sinkinson and Lorraine Barry and many others. This foxtrot by Arunas and Katusha is, believe me, as good as it gets. We have had a marvellous time catching up with what we have missed over the last few years on UA-cam, DVD and DSI and are now full aquainted with one of the greatest ballroom dancing couples of all time.

It is also the ONLY couple who undisputed won every competion for ten years. (Even Bill & Bobbie Irvine lost to Peter Eggleton some times.)
As a dance teacher, I lost my way. Couldn’t see the point of teaching. This song, routine and their embodiment of the dance, that makes me want to keep teaching. The joy of this dance. It’s like watching Riccardo and Yulia dance their Tico Tico. Both dances make me want to dance.
