That mat be the Cape Fear Optimist Park. There are a few parks/fields with "Optimist" in their names in town. I promise you it is not just "Optimist Park," as that is a park space along Front St that was abandoned before filming ever took place.

Was Finney's house the same house used as Chuck's house from One Tree Hill?
I will have to research that. I know where some of the One Tree Hill locations are, but not sure about Chuck. But I will look into it😁
