I was told in store, when I complained about rare beauty blushes, that you should apply it BEFORE foundation. I'm trying it now while listening to this.

The tarte blushes are my favorite too out of all my liquid and cream blushes! I have oily skin and wear powder foundation, no issues at all and the glow is not too much. So much more user friendly than others!

The annoying thing with Rare is that 2 of the blush colors look SO similar once sheered out. The mauve and the berry look very similar when sheered out. Also the merit blushes don’t roll up! You get a very small amount of product. It’s very annoying to me. At least in the old gray packaging not sure if the gold is different. They’re also way too dewy and sheer. So dewy that I can’t build up the color

I powder my face quite a bit as I’m super oily. It takes a certain type of formula to be able to layer over my powder. Love the LYS and the Rare. I absolutely do not like the Merit blushes. They’re way too sheer and balmy for me.
*Merit* . I'm a double blush gal. I love a cream/gel blush topped with a slight swatch of powder for all day wear. My color stories generally run cool, however, I like a range for all seasons. The Merit trio seems to have the most versatility.
those would be a great layering blush - considering how lightweight they are. Nice color selection, too! :)

The Merit blush set is no longer on Sephora’s website.
I have two of the full size tarte blushes from Ulta, but would definitely have considered the QVC set. I have peachy pink and berry. They are beautiful and wear well, even on my 63 year old face. I have last year’s Rare beauty mini set but have been preferring the Tarte. Also tried one of the Merit blushes but found it didn’t last long, though was easy to reapply. Ended up returning. Agree they would be good for beginners or no make up look

I’m here for this, Emily! I really like the philosophy of Rare Beauty, and it influenced me to buy several products this past summer. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to wear the blush, so I appreciate your tips here.
BTW, I really like her spf moisturizer, and the brush for concealer is absolutely wonderful!
As someone who's face eats blush......it always seems that the deeper shades are always a Berry so I'm really loving tge merit set. Those tarte blushes are amazing!!!! I have all of them so I wish that coral was available seperately
My face also eats blush (cream formulas especially). Honest Beauty cream blushes don't though. I wish they had more shades though (only 4).

I am loving mixing my cream/liquid blushes. Alot like mixing my different shades of lipstick and it's fun.
With the Merit blushes, when you said someone could "draw them on their cheeks and blend them in with their fingers and be just fine" I breathed a sigh of relief. Hello self! 😂 I find them super user friendly and they give just enough pigment for a flush. I love it!

I guarantee there’s more product that is possible to use by the expiration date. That feels wasteful. I picked up the Tarte Buffed Pink because it’s like Bobbi Brown powder pink - a natural brownish pink.

I wear Rare blush. I find that it is intense, which I am ok with, however give it 60-90 seconds and the intensity diminishes a lot so then I go back with a powder blush😢

Elf putty primer brush is excellent for any cream products. Love creams before using the powder products. I don’t like using so much setting powder so I’ll use like powder blush, powder bronzer to set those areas and then setting powder in the oily areas. Finishing powder to blend it all to come all together seamlessly in the winter time.
Profusion soft matte liquid blushes are my absolute favorite and a good dupe for the rare beauty liquid blushes. Nice
What about the Subtl Beauty cream lip and cheek? I use that line exclusively. I love their lip and cheek shades.
I have never tried Tarte, except for a foundation that was too chalky on me. I want to try some of their Maracuja line and now... these blushes. lol
The LYS cream blush set is already sold out what a huge disappointment ☹️☹️
Update … the set isn’t sold out after all, but that’s what the Sephora site said as I was checking out yesterday. Very weird! Turns out my order never went through and I was able to place it in my cart this morning and check out successfully! 🎉
I love blush sets, I haven't gotten into cream blushes yet though. The mascara you're wearing isn't the best for you today, very clumpy on your left eye but not on your right.

Gosh Emily, you look just perfect today! I got hooked on creme blushes awhile back with Undone Beauty's tri-tone Cheek to Lip compacts. I like that each one is a pure color in different intensity levels, with no sheen or shimmer that might look weird on top of a shimmery base. But they don't seem to be running any special deals this holiday season, or maybe they just haven't posted yet. Of the ones you show, I think the LYS set would be my best choice; I'm really liking the russet reddish tones to blend with my rosacea that just refuses to behave. If you can't beat it, blend it out! Thanks for the presentation today, and for the warning about the super intensity of the Rare Beauty products.

I recently tried a morphe cream blush similar to the color you added from LYS. i love it. Stays all day.
The reason I'm holding out on the rare beauty trio is cuz they seem like they are from the literal same color family. I wonder if they will basically look the same on me.

Very helpful video!!! I’ve been eyeing the Lys set and almost got it in the Sephora sale. But then I heard from Jen Phelp’s channel that Lys is having a 40% off sale on their site on Thanksgiving! Setting an alarm for that one. I have Merit blush in Cheeky already but find that it’s not very long wearing. Definitely will look into the Tarte set and DEFINITELY ordering the Sephora brush in the current sale. I’m in the market for a great cream blush brush and was looking at totally different Sephora brushes. But the one you showed looks perfect.

Great video. As someone with dry skin, cream blushes are better. They just don’t have the staying power of powder. I tend to to cream and then powder on top.
