- Electric MGA conversion.
We're back with our latest conversion - a beautiful 1960 MGA. The epitome of the British sports car and now fully electric. We've kept it classic with a gearbox for engaged driving and have loved test-driving it on the country lanes of Oxfordshire. Sadly we had to give it back to the owner but we filmed a quick walkaround before it left the workshop. Check out the video for a technical run down, a look under the bonnet and a perfect summer's day test-drive....

Three in one for me. I once owned a 1955 MGA in white, I owned a 1972 MGB in that same blue, and I WANT to convert one to electric. The sheer beauty of an MGA makes my heart skip a beat.
Agree - it's a stunning car. We are very much in love with it! Let us know if we can help you out with a conversion!
Absolutely on my conversion list. MGA, MGB, F100, Esprit and my current '87 W124 300e. Would love it if you can get these up on a lift to show us the underside. Well done guys.
Thanks! Great list!
Lovely! I wish I had more room in my garage.
Me to. I love this/
Thanks! Us too! It's a beautiful car and fantastic Retro-EV.
I have a 1977 MGB and would love to convert it to EV
We'd love to help you with that! Drop us an email to enquiries@electrogenic.co.uk
Love it
Thanks Tim
How does a conversion like this affect the balance and handling? I'd presume with a change in weight distribution there's an impact or do you factor that in to your builds? Do you also have to modify the suspension?

Great job. Do you do a DIY kit for MGA owners
Not yet....
Christ that’s beautiful! Take my money… how much do I need to part to get/build something like this?
Thanks! It is a beauty. Cost depends on the spec you choose - drop us an email or call and we'll give you a ballpark figure based on how you want to drive it. enquiries@electrogenic.co.uk
MiGosh Was about to ask if you could do my '94 W124 e320! A lot of us yanks LOVE our 'classics' over here; are you licensing anyone to expand this way?
Yes we are - we'll be announcing US partners very soon. Keep an eye on our socials or sign up to our newsletter on our website for our latest news
Assuming the car is pristine, what budget is needed for the conversion?
It would be a bespoke conversion so it depends on how you want to drive it. Every car is different. Drop us an email with the details and we'll get back to you with the details - enquiries@electrogenic.co.uk
You chaps should be creating a amplified engine sound track to go with speed and gear change to accompany these cars
Ruined, should be a law against it.
