    They’re a cracking bike, did my full big bike license on one, absolutely loved it. Aye they’re not a perfect bike, but honestly if you’re going for a first bike and you’ve got a budget, you won’t go far wrong with one of these

      Awesome bikes mate and great lightweight for chucking around in corners. No the sound always gets compressed through video and never sounds good.
      Have fun with the bike mate 👍🏻👍🏻

    Thanks for the review. I live in the Netherlands, wich means we have an A1, A2 and an A drivers license. I want to get my A2 license first. Once I get that, will the Kawasaki er6n be a good first bike?

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  3 роки тому +2

      Absolutely its a great first bike, Er6N and the ER6F are some of the best beginner first bikes on the market. So good that they do the motorcycle tests on them here in the UK. Great at handling and lightweight, plenty of torque power amd cheap to run and insure.

    I came on here to see what they are like as my local training school use them for DAS. I’m 6ft4 and well built, and needing something comfortable for size to get the best for course and test. Thanks for your honest review.

    I've just bought a 2016 ER-6N as my first big bike so great to see your video. Very different to the Ducati Scrambler 800 my training school used but I'm loving it. At 5'6" i even manage to touch the ground with the balls of my feet 😃 Can't wait for the sun to come out and have some fun 😁

    Going to test ride this one in yellow it’s a bit older ( 2005 ) but I don’t mind the age ! I had a V Strom 650 - 2021 but sold it. The er6n was my driving school lesson bike. And it’s nice and handy. Lovely to see this video 👌🏻

    With this being a 650, woukd it keep up with a r6 or gsxr 600?

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  3 роки тому +6

      Hi. 650cc nakeds are geared different to the 600cc sports. 600cc sports would have maybe 130 hp and a top speed of 150 but this 650cc stock has around 75hp and will probably do 130 ish. Give or take.
      This 650cc is geared towards street riding with torque been in lower end of the rev spectrum
      600cc the torque is up in the 6000 to 10000 revs so is better on the long flats.
      In my opinion, hope this helps.

      @THETURBOTONY  3 роки тому

      Hey man. Cant rem which insurance I was with when I had this bike. Im currenty running 2020 ninja 1000 and fully com Insurance is £350 ish.
      I try find Insurance companies that take experience into the quote, been riding off road since i was young so have nearly 30 yrs experience.
      Sometimes its area you live in that is expensive to insure or even where you park the bike on a night, lots of factors come into play including job, mileage. Just play with answer until u get a better quote from them :)

  • @tomroberts7195
    @tomroberts7195 4 роки тому +1

    What's the upkeep like on them? Maintenance an service cost ect... I'm doing my direct access currently. I've been riding Z650 but they are out of my price range for a first bike. Id had narrowed my choice down to ER6N/F (I like both but N is preferred less too fix should I drop it 😂) or an XJ6. Im leaning towards what I would know. Having done my lessons on the kawasaki it seems the logical choice cost dependent

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  4 роки тому +2

      I passed my test on the Er6n so that the reason I bought one, it makes sense.
      Upkeep like i said in the video has been very minimal, I just oiled the chain once a week and in 2 years had 1 new tyre put on. As far as service I paid £100 gbp once in 2 years.
      Very cheap eco and enjoyable bike and its perfect starter bike for sure.
      Loads of mods to buy if you wanted to do that.

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  3 роки тому +2

      650 is a great idea, cheap to run, insure and maintain. Not only that but they have a lot more torque over a 390cc. Top speed ur looking about 130mph standard. I recommend to go test ride a 650 at a dealer then go buy used if u need too.

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  Рік тому +1

      Hi. The windscreen is made by Puig. Yeah makes a massive difference with buffering on motorways etc. not sure about mpg as I dont have this bike anymore, it has an eco mode that displays on the dash to show best mpg to power ratio.

      @@THETURBOTONY did you had any issues with it. Really liking it and I am considering it after I sold my Benelli tnt125. The main things I am interested is to not have too much of a mpg + good wind protection, since it's a naked

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  Рік тому +1

      @@aks13v35 no issues really. Wind can be an issue over 100 but screen does help with that. The bike is so easy to ride, its comfortable and easy to corner etc. loads if torque for a 650. Honestly its a great bike.

      Yes Sylvesters Yamaha, literally used to go there daily as a teenager drooling over the motorcross bikes lol.
      So i have updated my setup since this video as the mic pops at speed.
      Currently running a chin mount with Gopro 7 black and a cardo Intercom Microphone into the Gopro, it has inbuilt wind protection.
      Also got a Gopro 9 which I use occasionally.

  • @johnberry5339

    Hello 👋 I found your tutorial very interesting. Thank you for sharing 😊
    I have a different question, please.
    How did you manage to eliminate most of the wind noise from your footage?
    I have a bullet style camera attached to my helmet. The wind noise is that bad. You can't even hear the aftermarket exhaust?
    Thanks, John 🙂
    I have a 1250cc Bandit 🏍👍

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  Рік тому

      I use a Gopro with a wind muffler. It covers the mic hole so wind doesnt bang against the mic making it sound muffled. The other way is to run a microphone into your helmet if your camera has a mic input. If not upgrade your camera to sonething else.

    • @THETURBOTONY
      @THETURBOTONY  3 роки тому +1

      One of the best commuting bikes, cheap to run on fuel and insurance, plenty of mpg to the tank, just not very good for luggage if you needed plenty of space, could fit a box on back however.
