No excuses! he did better than a lot of free man walking the streets does for their woman. December 25th 2015 my husband proposed to me in the visiting room at a CA state prison, December 4th 2016 we got married in prison. October 2020 my husband was released. Today he protects , provides, and love me unconditionally. Being a prison wife wasn't easy but it was well worth the wait. Yeah and I'm glad that his family accepts her because my on-and-off-again boyfriend's family does accept me but unfortunately I keep having drama with his sister due to her making little Jabs at me every time she's around me. I finally brought it up to him and he said he would stand up to her. Well it didn't go well and she tried to make it out to seem like I was in the wrong but he saw right through her. He told me that in the future if I stand up to her that he would support me 100%. It just sucks that I get along with the rest of his family but not her. I'm not going to let her spoil my happiness with a man I love just because she doesn't like me for whatever reason. I used to think that getting along with your partner's family was very important and while it is ideal, at the end of the day you are with your partner and only them and damn what anyone else thinks. Don't let other people including their family tear you apart. If you truly love each other you will make it through anything. Sometimes and I hate to sound like I'm tooting my own horn here but sometimes I think that she's jealous of me or she's mad that I took her brother away from her, whatever. Not my problem, those are her issues to work out. I try to be civil and friendly with her but I'm also not going to let her think she can steamroll over me. I've been with him for three and a half years now and we had a major fight here recently but we finally made up and it made us realize how much we mean to each other and it's a new beginning for us. Things won't always be easy and your relationships but don't give up over something seemingly small. I can understand cheating and stuff like that but other than that try to work it out. Things haven't always been easy with us but I love him and I'm not going to let him walk away and I know he truly loves me because no matter how bad we fight sometimes and no matter what life has thrown our way, we always manage to stick together in the end. He knows that I've got him and I have since day one. That's why he has stuck with me. I have helped him through major stuff in his life such as his dad having a stroke, multiple surgeries, most recently open heart surgery and help him through some personal stuff he was going through even when we were not seeing each other that long. That's how he said he knew I was down for him. He said that I have never turned my back on him no matter what. We have a one-year-old son now and so he wasn't planned we both love him and I never thought I would have a child with him but I love them both to pieces. I feel like all the BS that I had to go through before him finally led me to him and he's the right person for me. As I said, no relationship is ever going to be a hundred percent easy but you have to remember to love each other even when you struggle to like each other. That's what really counts. At the end of the day when you lay your head down if you know that person loves you that's all that matters. I would rather have love than all the money in the world.
