Great review. I just ordered the oryx rifle chassis from Optics Planet for about $429 and used one of their coupons that took off about $25. Going to mate it to a Howa 1500 barreled action in 6.5 Creedmoor that I ordered from Brownells. Looking forward to see how it shoots.
MDT has learning videos. One in particular is about body positioning while shooting. Youre all crooked etc. You need better prone shooting form. Once i learned from the MDT video's my shooting was a lot better and more consistent. Best of luck to you with long range!
It’s called androgynous prone, and facilitates the view of his man-thong. It doesn’t matter if he hits anything. What’s important is sales, his advancement as an influencer and profit 😮
They have no plans because they want you to spend more money on a chassis that does have a folding stock. Shame they couldn't just offer this with that option for $100 more or something like that. I think that even serious shooters don't need all the features they're offering on their latest and greatest top of the line chassis. I think the ability to put a monopod and full length Arca rail are important along with fully adjustable length of pull and cheek riser. When you start getting into rail covers and slots for weights and all that shit i think it's ridiculous. WHY? Because i have a combat background and i think you should practice how you fight. Running around in PRS matches shooting from different angles is "OK" but adding a bunch of weights to the rifle seems silly to me. No one's going to fight with a 15 lb. rifle not including the scope and scope mount. At some point i think PRS has lost the objective/original intent.
I get it, but he Oryx is their budget option and is already $530 CAD. If a folding option added $150 CAD you'd naturally be moving to another higher level chassis IMO. Folding = step up to the next level of chassis, that's MDT's solution to your desire and I think it's an intelligent solution.
Metro Male (? Maybe) masquerading as a gun guy selling shoes and Gucci MDT chassis for Xbox shooters old enough to buy something that resembles their Xbox training. Yeah, those knobs for cheek height cost extra, and you need to remove it any time you need to remove the bolt for cleaning. And yeah, they’ll sell you add ons for length. Want to attach a sling? Yeah, that’s another puzzle. There is a place near the end of the stock (on the bottom) where a push button sling socket can be installed. At the end of the day, it’s a bunch of overpriced hype that I wish I hadn’t bought.
“Good luck with your Chinese made shoes” “good luck with your Chinese made phone” “good luck with your Chinese made furniture, computers, silverware, clothes, appliances” 😂 do you hear how stupid you sound? Throw a rock in your house (mom’s basement?) odds are good it will hit something made in china or with Chinese made parts in it. Should we try to “buy American?” Absolutely. But this is the most brain dead comment people make 😂

Sounds like a solid setup 👌🏻
I did the same thing. I just need the bipod and muzzle break. I went with the Arken optic.
Very nice setup 😎👌, what is the weight of the rifle with or without the scope?
Essentials except for Sling mounts. yes they sell the forend mounts but there is no attachment point at the stock
I don’t personally find that an essential thing. I would rather sheath my rifle in a bag than sling it
Nice chassis
Would the standard magazine from a t3x ctr work with this chassis or do i have to buy aics mags?
You need aics mags
How did you get your suppressor on? I’ve heard the lite barrels shouldn’t be threaded because there’s not enough meat on the barrel
So I wanted it to be 5/8x24 but it did not have enough meat for that but they were able to do 1/2x28. I’ve had zero issues with that so far
@@severshoots awesome, thanks for the reply
I recommend e thumb screws much easier to make in Field adjustments
do the metal AICS mags work with a Tikka here ?
Yes. It’s the pmags that don’t….. unless you sand them 😂
What magazine do I need to buy for it to work with the tikka T3X?
Anything but the pmags. Those can work if you sand down the feed lips, which is what I did. But any other metal ones would work fine

Ya, this chassis has all the “essentials.” And I would absolutely pay $100 more for a folding stock to make it more packable haha

@@regularguy1749 😂 tell me you’re bitter without telling me you’re bitter. It’ll be ok little buddy.
Regardless, their gear is crap.
@@regularguy1749 for you maybe 🤷🏻♂️ I’m still a fan of the Chassis. Does everything I want it to do.
@@severshoots I’m sure the chassis matches those shoes you’re selling. That’s what is important here.
@@regularguy1749 oooo burrrrn 🤣 hope you feel better about buying the chassis now 😘
The butt has no QD, or a place for a sling mount/attachment.
Good luck with your Chinese made shoes.
