I’m wondering why the video was chopped to put SU first? The visiting band always performs first.
I was advised Years ago by my director that Florida A&M was the originator of the high knee lift or high stepping and Grambling St. originated the quick step march or scrambling as it's called.🤔

@KBTHEBANDHEAD Why is all JSU drummers not marching with the band. Also if you are going to spell something on the field we should be able to read it. Lastly everyone knows Jackson State is the most copying band in the SWAC. If it's not nailed down, they're gonna steal it and use it. Those are the facts of the case and they are undisputed. Check previous footage and dates if you don't believe me. Southern is often imitated but never duplicated.

@@lgpugh35 obviously no one, that’s definitely a staple by them. Just like like how JSU has the tiger run on. I mean like just basic patterns in motion, you know

Southern's fast cadence is different than Famu's rattler march.
FAMU is the originator of this along with Morris Brown among HBCU, however University of Michigan Band is where it came from.

An honest mistake. FAMU might've influenced MEAC bands but from Mississippi Louisiana and Texas NEW Orleans jazz and big band swing is the influence
Entertainment wise, it's SU. JSU's song selection was terrible and boring, but their drills were solid! That circle drill and formation was nice! Both dance teams kinda left me underwhelmed for a game of this magnitude, but still not too bad.

For the MEAC? Because new Orleans jazz and big band swing was definitely the influence for Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas bands. FAMU probably had a director that brought it from new Orleans. People in Mississippi Louisiana and Texas don't even think about FAMU at all
SU got the W. Their drill, auxiliaries and dance routine was solid! J-States drill was tight but everything else was OD

And In The Drill Show Da JUKE Did Those Step Ones ,Only Real Drill Arranger Can Implement Those,So Drill Was Southern Too,JSt Did A Drill Southern 5 yrs Previous ,They Try And Steal All Da JUKE Stuff And Use It Years Later...DOC Drills Are Priceless So They Definitely Lost Tge Drill Show Too... But Even This 21 Season Southern Killed Dem Om The Halftime Show They Did B.R. Jigga Train..It Went DUMB...JUKE IN A LANDSLIDE... I agree. Southern had the better show this year. It's always a toss up between these two every year. JSU didn't have the better show this year.

I like Southern's tempo. That was the main thing I liked about theirs. I disagree about the song selection. Sade didn't impress me. I think Southern usually picks a better when it comes to a song that matches their drill, but I didn't think their song selection was better this time. When SU tries to take shots at other bands, I usually find it kind of lame, and the J-sette one as pretty lame. Both drills were ok. Southern's actual drill part actually went by pretty quick. I really don't care about dance, but Thriller has been done 2 million times.
So JSU Bobby Brown tribute was better than SU song selection... 🧢 C'mon son. Give SU their props.
@@KBThaBandhead The first little tribute SU did at the start of the show was good. After that, it was just OK to me. IDK maybe I just like Bobby Brown more. I liked that first thing and SU's tempo
