It's a shame the official Star Wars channel doesn't upload these. The quality of this show is just too good for a few thousand views and doesn't reflect the effort you put into it.
It's so much better than the dumb and cheesy Star Wars show they have God I can't stand the dude there. The Star Wars Channel should make good quality stuff like Mr Taylor here.
Imagine that actually showing up in a movie/animated series. I'd just laugh in absolute satisfaction at both hilarity and poetry of the entire thing. 😂😂
The magic Matt did bring into this last season is just phenomenal. So much more fun to watch it now knowing this wishes of a real ending came true. We need a reboot of this interview!!!
It was actually. I prefer and get more emotional over Yoda’s ending speech (“Not victory in the Clone Wars, but victory for all time”) than Darth Vader picking up a lightsaber in the snow...
GenerationWest My thoughts exactly, I thought this could have worked with Kanan and him or something like that. I knew this comment existed, I only had to look for it. ;)
Hearing James's desire to do more Clone Wars makes me so happy that he eventually got the opportunity. I know Filoni has said that these last 12 episodes are intended as the end, but the greedy part of me wants to see what would happen in the mentioned 8th season.
“Season 8; The Second Final Season” “So, everyone is dead, Obi-Wan is now hiding out in the desert so we can’t do that because he’s getting a show already, Ashoka has Rebels, Yoda hasn’t done shit, Anakin is now Darth Vader, so let’s do more Maul”
Sharko The Shark honestly, doing that with like obi wan or Ashoka having memories of the clone wars with little snippets of post CW stuff in there could be fucking awesome, maybe even going to other living Jedi and having their experiences shown before Vader shows up and slowly works his way through those Jedi
James, you and Sam need to do more together because seeing you two talk and doing the Princess Bride skit made me smile and laugh so much!! You both have brought a whole different side to Obi Wan and Maul and I love seeing you two together laughing and talking all things Star Wars. Thanks once again!!!
Ahh my heart breaks when you talk about how TCW never got its ending :( The 'Death on Utapau' arc are some of my favorite Clone Wars episodes, even unfinished. This was amazing, love the chemistry between you two. And the Princess Bride skit was GOLD
Well fortunately for us all you got your better conclusion to Clone Wars. Granted no season 8 which is a bummer but the season 7 conclusion was amazing. That skit definitely fit the characters.
You know something James? I think that the Clone Wars will come back in some way shape or form. Even if they get a movie deal for it, I think that Dave Filoni still will find a way to bring that iconic ending with Rex, Ahsoka, and the Mandalorians to screen!
Maybe they will release some novels, that would be really nice. Dark Disciple is a good read. Or maybe some Comics like Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic series. But of cause TV show would be the dream :)
It's a person that for some reason likes to go and put a thumbs down on my videos every time I put them out. It's not about the content it's about an angry soul, not liking me. God bless them, and show them it does no good. Best to you and thanks for the concern!
Its crazy watching these back knowing that clone wars is rapping up with season 7 right now. Probably wont see this but did any of you guys have any idea that it was ever going to come back?
Why haven't I seen this video until today?! I'm a very big fan of Sam Witwer as Darth Maul. His voice is more than a skill it is an instrument that plays the most beautiful melodies, melodies that melt like butter in my ears. I literally replay scenes and listen to every word he says, taking in every nuance, growl and every slight change in tone...I truly admire his work of art. It would be amazing if you and Sam could do loads more voice acting together as Kenobi and Maul, that would make my, and other's dreams come true. I hope that's possible! 😀 Lastly I would like to say I love your kenobi voice too James it's wonderful how you add character and humour to Kenobi 😊
Just want to say you and Sam Witwer are MASSIVE inspirations to me. I've read up and watched so much of both your guys's content, watched documentaries you've been in, and taken notes. I was born and raised a Star Wars fan and I hope to one day voice act for Star Wars. I've already done a little bit of voice acting, so I hope I can aspire to be like the two of you.
I really respect you guys shying away from any sort of negative comments about the whole disney buy and the change to the canon and stuff. Cause I know I certainly wouldn't be so polite.
I loved every minute of this! Sam is such a pleasure to watch and seems like an all-around great guy. I'm glad he got to play out Maul's story to the end. And that Princess Bride scene at the end... So perfect! -I need fan art of it now lol- Such a great way to start the weekend! (:
The Princess Bride segment makes me wish for a Star Wars elseworlds story where Obi Wan and Maul crash on a deserted planet somewhere and have to rely on each other to survive the whole time. It would be amazing.
It's such a shame the force unleashed isn't canon. That was some of the best work and best stories ever told under the star wars license. I'm so happy I found these interviews and I hope and wish I can meet you both in person. Thank you both for everything you've done to help this community.
I'm now officially addicted to these conversations. It's so wonderful to hear the actors themselves speak about the stuff we mortals only theorize about, and especially when the topics go from one side to another! Thank you so much!
Oh. My. God. That princess bride script was ON POINT. when he said "he cut me in half" I got chills😆 along with the original Montoya line. So good James! I have been listening to these during my job and they are awesome
I saw Sam in The Mist first. When I saw his character in The Force Unleashed, I was like, "Isn't that the dude from the Mist?" By the way, that movie looks best in the black and white version, as it makes the cgi look scarier. Those bug things creep me out! Sam is great in everything he's done, and it was cool for me watching this interview. Thanks JAT!
James, just finished watching both parts 1 & 2 back to back. Not going to lie it's been a nightmare having to make myself not watch part till part 2 was ready to go. I'm so glad I waited and watched it as one long episode. Listening to you Sam talk not just about Clone wars, but Star Wars as a whole was very interesting, You can feel the passion that Sam has in every answer. As always your question's and passion also through in not just this interview but in all of them. I like many other loved the Clone Wars and by you making this show, your keeping it alive, plus I'm learning so much more a out the franchise, thought I knew a lot before hand. Always I'm still looking for dates for your one show over here in England, I'm sure you will have some news for me soon about dates. Thank you James can't wait for the next episode.
Scott Blackman thanks for watching and your kind words about Sam, myself and the show. Sorry to say I have no plans to perform my show right now, but if I was invited to do it and the costs were covered I'm sure we'd make it happen.
hey this is an earlier comment so i hope there is a higher chance of you seeing this. I feel as if i speak for alot of people by saying how much i appreciate you and the people who help make these videos putting in the time and effort to bring them to the public. It gives a completely new aspect to the show we all love. in addition to the content about the Star Wars universe the conversations about you and your guests experiences are just as interesting. Yet again thanks for the always amusing and ever entertaining content.
Sweet Lux will be next, you can mention how's the character is in SPOLIER ALERT The new Battlefront Novel and Matt Lanter will be a good episode! I grew up watching the Clone Wars and loved seeing the relationship of Kenobi and Skywalker grow throughout the series
Loved this!! I know Maul loses his life in Rebels... But I want to see him again! - Looking forward you seeing him in the last season of Clone Wars! - And I Hope we get to see him Live Action again! So cool getting that end scene in SOLO! Please sir! Can I have some Morrre! (Insert Darth Maul voice) 😂
We just discovered these conversations in 2020 and are loving it! Especially now that TCW is coming back with Season 7. I hope JAT does more of these interviews on how it feels to finally get to bring closure to the characters after all this time.
Dear James Arnold Taylor, you bring brightness of joy into my life again. I haven't laughed at your jokes and Sam's for four to five months now. This is an amazing show!!! This is the show I am having a fantastic time!
Absolutely loved sam as Star killer when I was a kid. My favorite scene he did was the meditation where Star killer is at peace for a moment and is rebuilding his lightsaber and the hopeful music gets cut by Vader entering and scaring him back to his submissive and angry stance where Star killer is normally at. I’ve seen sam in all kinds of other things since I’m a fan but that is my favorite moment cuz it just shows that he knows the character and the lore from day one as a true fan.
Just discovered these, what an amazing series this i!. A lot of love, time and hard work went into the making of these anyone can see that. I didn't know you and Tom WIlson were friends I'm hoping to meet you both at fan expo Toronto coming up. And tell Sam he has to come to a fan expo in the future so I can meet him too!
Trifinity Vortex thx so much. Yes, I spend a lot of time and energy on them as a way of saying thanks to all the fans. Tom is awesome too! One of the best people I know. Make sure you check out his UA-cam channel if you haven't already!!👍🏻😀
Sam Witwer is a genius, been a huge fan of him since Force Unleashed. He brought more to that role than almost any video game character before or since
That read at the end was rather lovely. It was so nice just to close my eyes and imagine this encounter between Kenobi and Maul. I wish I had the talent to animate it. The Battlefront II models would do rather nicely.
Forget "like." There NEEDS to be a LOVE button!!!!! Oh my goodness! You and Sam as Westley and Inigo = absolute gold! That was absolutely worth the wait for Part 2 all by itself, but aside from that, the interview as a whole (part 1 and 2) was just so good. Very cool to hear how all the behind the scenes stuff came together and opinions on stuff...even the talking about recording equipment--as a deejay myself I'm like...Yeah, I remember those Tascam reel to reels! Lovin' it. Great job, JAT!
It would be nice to finish the Clone Wars series. But I believe that decision would be up to Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm themselves. I really enjoyed the Princess Bride/Star Wars skit, by the way. ^^
Thank you! Such a pleasure to hear from Starkiller himself that its not clear if he really is the clone in second one... that was my take from the get go. And thanks to you sir for all your passion for Star Wars!
That awkward moment when you realize that ahsoka and starkiller really were trained by the same guy...and then notice reverse similarities...you guys are amazing :D i just wanna hug you guys ^.^
That reading was so beautiful, closing your eyes and imagining that scene with those two characters is SUCH a fun thing to do! I loved these 2 interviews, I could listen to you guys talk all day. ❤
Thank you for your time and effort in making this fantastic show, JAT. I always want to learn more about the behind the scenes of Star Wars and this show really has opened me up to the world of voice acting. I had no idea you were given the scripts the day you were to record them. Really shows that talent of the entire team of actor and production crew. I love the fact that many of the people who are involved in making Star Wars are just as big of fan as I am. I have enjoyed checking out other Voice actors as well as looking into your other shows and whatever else I can find on UA-cam. Thanks again JAT for putting this together. I know it is lots of hard work to get something like this off the ground and it really shows in the final production. I look forward to the next episode.
Going back through all of these and at this time with the pandemic going on, I can say that all of these videos are helping me through it and keeping me busy. Thank you James Arnold Taylor 😁👍🏻
I saw this, and I immediately subscribe to it. And since its Discovery I have been binge-watching watching it. James you are doing such a great job. And congratulations on the 8th season of Clone Wars. There is no Clone Wars without Obi-Wan Kenobi!
REX thanks for recognizing the hard work. It's a labor of love for all that watched the show. My thanks again to you! MTFBWY
👍
It's so true that I've just made pretty much the same comment and I didn't read yours before!
REX I didn’t know you watched this series
41:44
Darth Maul saying "Hello there". I can die happily now
Imagine that actually showing up in a movie/animated series. I'd just laugh in absolute satisfaction at both hilarity and poetry of the entire thing. 😂😂
Thank you for this timecode
I appreciate that Sam sits like Maul on Satine's throne
"Sam, which Sith do you want to play?"
"yes"
“The lost missions was such a great end to the clone wars” mmmmm little did you know...
Truly was a great end of the clone wars , but don’t forget the beginning of galactic peace and prosperity under the empire
The magic Matt did bring into this last season is just phenomenal. So much more fun to watch it now knowing this wishes of a real ending came true. We need a reboot of this interview!!!
I was thinking the same thing, if only Sam knew he was going to be Maul again
It was actually. I prefer and get more emotional over Yoda’s ending speech (“Not victory in the Clone Wars, but victory for all time”) than Darth Vader picking up a lightsaber in the snow...
Sometimes whenever JAT uses the Obi Wan voice I can't tell if it was on accident or on purpose
\Nexturz/ or maybe it's both (said in Obi-Wan voice) hmmmm😜
@@JATactor I instantly hear it in obi wans voice
Damian_Bubble it is part of him
i hear alot of marty mcfly
Although I love Ewan M., when I hear General Kenobi in my head it's always JAT's voice. Always.
That Priness Bride back and forth actually seems like it could actually happen, but if Maul had his Rebels composure.
: )
James Arnold Taylor this is amazing! I love these. Videos and it really seems like you’re really passionate about it.
GenerationWest My thoughts exactly, I thought this could have worked with Kanan and him or something like that. I knew this comment existed, I only had to look for it. ;)
I love that Princess Bride Star Wars edition skit
Thx!
Sam R yesss that skit was amazing! Gave me chills!
I love how Sam is sitting like Maul in season 7
Thank you for doing two parts with Sam, you're both legends
After 2 years I have found you the student of my apprentice in secret. You shall no longer evade me Galen
@@thrashtitan23 how about me

They missed the perfect opportunity! "It's over Kenobi! I have the high ground!"
Sam and James standing next to each other for that recording... poor Obi will always be the smol. XD
I considered standing on a box... but I embrace my shortness!! : )
Hopefully our favorite Jedi Master is equally at peace with having so many tall friends!
Judge him by his size do you? hmm?
lol I'm 5 ft 2, so I get that...
Size matters not
Sam is thinking of Battlefront III/Elite Squadron when he's thinking of Force Senstitive Clones (he even voiced Palpatine in that).
Gareth Thomas I figured someone would know and comment on it! 😀 thx
Can we all agree that the entire clone wars cast doesn’t sound anything like their movie counterparts but they feel so much like their characters
26:08 "would have loved it if we did [season 7]"...3 years later...it happened!
yeah later on around 35 minutes they talked about how s6 ending was good was to end it. I'm grateful we got this last season.
James, you and Sam need to do more together because seeing you two talk and doing the Princess Bride skit made me smile and laugh so much!! That'd of course be great, but I think that both Dave and Lucasfilm has moved on. Sad, but as far as I know true.
There can always be hope. There's a lot of people campaigning for the return of the show
i dont see why they cant release those stories in some form or another
There's no reason for them to not finish it off afterwards.
why is there a dislike, WHY IS THERE A DISLIKE...

"Well I can die now..." got me 😂😂😂
OMG this is genius Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul doing The Princess Bride ABSOLUTELY amazing JAT Thank you as always for doing these!

Thanks, I agree ; )
The Princess Bride reading was hilarious! Great interview too.
James, I just wanted to thank you, because this is probably the best Star Wars content out there today. Keep doing it, because it's awesome.

Tony Bosso thanks so much for the kind words and the support of the content here! I'm glad it has helped you!
Going back through all of these and at this time with the pandemic going on, I can say that all of these videos are helping me through it and keeping me busy. Thank you James Arnold Taylor 😁👍🏻
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I LOVED this end part!!!!!!!!
I saw this, and I immediately subscribe to it. And since its Discovery I have been binge-watching watching it. James you are doing such a great job. And congratulations on the 8th season of Clone Wars. There is no Clone Wars without Obi-Wan Kenobi!
Not to be dramatic or anything but I could listen to Sam Witwer’s voice all day
I loved this two part episode! So much to talk about I could have listened for hours :)
The reading for this was so perfect!!
Great job JAT. Sam was great.
I Love these clone wars conversations and always look forward to the next one :)
