Catherine O'Hara as Moira will go down as one of the all-time great iconic comedic performances. It's up there with Jennifer Saunders as Edina Monsoon for example.

The scenes with David and Patrick made me (and my stoic husband!) emotional each time. We were both moved to tears many times. And I think it’s because love is so tender, sweet, vulnerable, and scary, no matter who you are, but to experience that PLUS having to deal with the cruelty from ignorant society and bigoted straight people makes it even that much harder to go through. The tenderness with which David and Patrick showed their love for each other was heart healing. I can see why so many LGBTQ people have found this to be life changing. ❤️🥰
Dan and Annie legit like siblings in real life. The "ANNE!" And "Daniel Joseph" part was priceless

I'm 2 episodes in and that's what's selling the show for me the most (surprisingly, considering how much I love Catherine O'Hara). They absolutely nailed that sibling relationship.
Catherine turns at the end and thanks everyone, from audience to stage support. She’s such an example of how I can be a better person. Also, Dan’s last comments regarding how the show has effected him, personally. Simply the Best.

Yes I agree.. their hair, father and son, of course it would be.(: I wish I could see an interview of those two talking honestly about the relationship they had as Dan was growing up. We’re they happy as they seem.?When Eugene made movies &was away, what they each felt. I’m curious about their real life family. Dan was obviously raised right. Eugene must be so very proud of his son.( putting it lightly) (:

I’ve never liked a show as much as Schitt’s Creek.
I’ve never felt as safe as when I’m in its world.
I’ve never known love as free to grow as when I’m watching it.
It’s not been an easy few months for any of us, but knowing that it will always be there for us makes everything okay.
Thanks to Dan, Eugene and all the cast, crew and writers for creating this perfect gem of a show that has shown us how beautiful the world could be. They will never truly understand what they have given us or how much their beautiful creation has meant to us. Our effusive thanks is but a mote of dust in the beam of sunlight we bask in thanks to them. We will forever be indebted to them for the joy they have given us in 22 minute segments and I wish nothing but the best of luck with all future endeavors.
It’s such classic Canadian dry humor. We didn’t realize how much we missed this genre.

@@LuvmyselfDiamond13 the office is originally britich, b99/parks and rec are US "Humour" after a few episodes it becomes very bad, good place is good, new girl is meh, arrested dev is not bad, the only US commedy I think is deserving of a great of all times rating would be modern family

Just by chance I clicked on this great show on Netflix..and have watched it multiple times...I am waiting for my friends to watch it. Dan is just too good...emotive, intelligent, emotional. And the way he and Patrick click...just loved it
My favourite scene was the one where Moira was away filming and she called. The kids were trying on her wigs...Johnny's reaction while he's talking to Moira on the phone while trying to be calm and stop the kids trying on the wigs hahahah

Catherine's statement "I can't wait until it's not a big deal" reminds me of when a female bus driver or cop would be a noticeable anomaly. And now it's no big deal. Schitt's Creek really has helped people be more accepting of each other's preferences and identities.
There has been some great sitcoms but, NEVER have I thought of crying when one ends. This show is DIFFERENT😢🖤😢

As a Canadian gal, I've been watching Schitt's Creek on CBC since day one. 🇨🇦 I'm so happy it is finally getting the recognition it deserves!
This Schitt is amazing
I started watching this show about a week ago, and now I'm down to the final few episodes. I can't say enough, how amazing this show is. I'm going to miss them so much, I'm sure I'll watch it over and over, but the first time around has become so bittersweet, The Rose's are like home cooking, can't get enough of it.
Dan’s style is literally to die for! Also, this is truly one of my favourite shows in a long time! Truly sad to see it go but I’m glad they’re allowing it to go out while it’s still on a high note.

Yes, ive seen some bad interviews with this incredible cast, Ellen and Ashton Kutcher on the Ellen show, where all they did was use a blow horn over the whole interview because the show is called Schitts Creek, Andy Cohen, whi did no research, and was shocked that Catherine O’hara has done comedy writing before, and Annie Murphy “actually wrote” a little bit Alexis. So happy that this show its characters swept the Emmy’s. They squandered their chance to interview real talent.
The last fan tearing up as Dan answered their question got me so good. He's absolutely right, David and Patrick's relationship has raised the bar for me personally.
I'm a woman who, this past year at 24, realized I was a lesbian after exclusively dating men my entire adult life. I've been terrified of dating because I realized that I'd been getting into relationships that were completely one sided. I guess I hadn't realized that everyone else pursues partners that they... Like? And respect?? And are attracted to??? That sounds horrifying.
I relate to Patrick so much, coming out a decade or two too late. And I relate to David, never having been with anyone he thinks is just so great. And this series finally made me realize that love like that most likely exists for me and is worth pursuing.

Me and my bf started watching schitt’s creek without any expectation other than just knew that it seemed to be a comedy....and it turned out to be my favourite shows!!! Sadly none of my friends has watched it, I’m from Taiwan though.. there’s no mandarin translation, so I figured it’s not on Netflix in Taiwan..Really needs watch pals to share the joy !!

THE BEST tv show Ever...not a simple, funny, go lucky show, a lot more profound, a lot more loving, caring, human and empathic group of amazing, Wonderfull people, I fell in love with every one of them forever, kudos to Daniel, a genius writer and an Excellent actor, so proud of having the pleasure to see this show and living in the same era of such talented people, wish them all the best and only the best of life.
I wish they would talk about Dan's sister/Eugene's daughter being in the show as well.

That billboard is the first of its kind. Even the biggest "gay movies" de-gay their advertisements, but they went against that and it's amazing.
This show is so funny and amazing.I love ted and Alexis relationship.And I loved seeing Stevie and David’s friendship evolving over the series.I would highly recommend this show!

I agree.. she’s been in some wonderful movies. Never disappoints. Home alone, beetle juice, and on and on and on… she’s so good I thought she had changed I real life.?? Hahaha of course not. She was acting. Her mannerisms and voice she uses are brilliantly done. God bless all of them. Catherine O’Hare is a rare extremely talented woman.

Loved the show but not because of the LGBT part of it. To me it was just incidental. The way the family interacted was more real than any other family on tv I will miss this show when it ends
That’s the beauty of the show. The LGBT representation is incredibly meaningful to a lot of people in the community but is done subtly and respectfully enough to be a minor element that doesn’t constantly make itself a plot point.
So you didn’t like the LGBTQ part? You can like everything and not have to invalidate that part...

It always bugs me that description says they are twenty somethings but in first season david says he's 32 or in 3os
Alexis says that he's like "34 years old", then later says that he's "basically 40" and she shouldn't be able to "make him feel bad about anything, but they never actually say David's age. Patrick even asked him how old he is on the bday episode and he didn't answer. Alexis' age is revealed as 27/28.
