Using gel prints as a background for sketching | Upcycling unsuccessful | Acrylic markers

From the beginning, I wanted to make beautiful gel prints for using as a background for my floral or urban sketches. One day of practicing gel printing I made too many unsuccessful prints, non of them looked good to me. It was very disappointing. But instead of discarding I tried to draw on those prints with acrylic markers, using pictures from my garden as a reference. At the end I became more optimistic about "bad" gel prints -- almost all of them can be used as a background.

In photography I sometimes joined two diapositives to make a kind of sandwich, something like a double exposition. You made a very good job here. Both drawings are pretty but the dandelion is my favorite. 🙂
