I know this is 10 months ago, but I’ve had Full Gold Guppies for almost 2 years now. I hold 2 different lines from different breeders (one local to me but the original strain is from Vietnam, one are Thailand imports), their cross line to see if it’s because of inbreeding, and just got another line. All them have been noted to show red at around 5-6 months old. I’ve spoken with other breeders that have full golds locally in my country, and they say that this happens with their own Full Golds as well. Most assume it was the food they give that enhances red, but I don’t feed color enhancing food because I like to see their raw potential and gene expression.
I’ve been focusing on form and finnage with them but try to breed the less red ones. It does take longer to get this strain going since I have to wait for the males to develop. Even the outcrosses to other strains have red show up as they age (specifically with the Half Black Blue outcrosses). I have no significant success in limiting the reds from popping up despite the selective breeding, so I think this is some gene interaction from this strain and/or also held by the female (but doesn’t show phenotypically). Eventually, I’d like to explore why this happens genetically so I’m not shooting at the dark at this point in trying to eliminate that trait. I’m also outcrossing them to a related strain, the Full Platinums, to see if they can help clean the reds up.

I can't help but wonder if the red colouration in your one 24k male's tail might be a result of feeding something with high Krill content... I don't know what you're feeding, but I've definitely seen fish develop more or darker red depending on the food I'm feeding

    • @fishboy1415

Dude if u want to change the line, you have to first grow them separately (male and female seperated),this is to prevent immature breeding. Try growing them separately( Seperate them before they get mature), and find a good breeder male and female from those seperately rased fish...
Your fish room is spectacular ☺️👌.

My gold guppy i bought 3 month ago give me yellow micarriff, it could be mix breeding but still its bad. The males also turn reddish when they reach full size, and some fry also get red coloration which sucks..
the females i love their stunning gold. And the yellow micarrif i gave them away.

I was about to start with the same setup but only have 5ft of space to work with.
will 5ft rack fit 10 gallon x5 per level? what's your current setup with what rack length?
Here's the dimension of the rack I'm planning in getting
    H180cm x D60cm x L150cm 4 lvl
Loading Capacity: 300kgs UDL per level
Still learning from your filtrations setup video
