And that will not ever change. But, of course, my detestation of the man colours my opinion of his music-making. It shouldn’t happen this way, but unfortunately it does.

Why do all these films seem to say the sonata being played was dedicated to Haydn? Only the opus 2 sonatas were.
It says, for the No. 30, that it was dedicated to Maximiliane Brentano. Nothing about Haydn.
Why so much focus on Barenboim’s face instead of his hands?
That’s a good question. The reason why it shows more of his face, It represents a lot of expression throughout these 3 movements, including the 3rd
