Hey!, i appreciate your interest! It seems like a vague nod to the Aztec xiuhmolpilli-the Binding of the Years, also called the New Fire Ceremony, wich was held every 50 or so years, to prevent the world to end, The whole ritual consisted of 5 days of fasting and abstinence prior of the ceremony, then a man was sacrificed via heart removal, and a fire was lit on his chest, then a huge bonfire was also lit and its fire was taken with torches to all the temples and households of the city.
Their are many tribes in Mexico not just Aztec...some of the fiercest that Europeans never conquered were the Chichimeca...from the North.....they were a confederation of tribes...I my self am 40 percent Huichol and Apache through my father.
Dude i have dreams that we used to chant give praises just like in this video. All through the dance, I'm glad our people have this. I'm glad we can see just a glimpse. I also have dreams of the moon and sun temple. All massive and impressive. The warriors too would chant when it came to threats I'm sure that was terryfing for their enemies too hear.
I have no idea what this is. But the lady dancing with the headdress was beautiful. I’m not sure how her legs didn’t get burned by the fire when she was holding it near the flame. Thanks for sharing.
From what I understand the announcer saying at the beginning and from piecing things together it's a dance done every certain amount of years like someone here said 50 years, to invoke good fortune, health, and crops. Lots of different tribes had different practices for appeasing the gods, some involving sacrifices but usually animals.
In mexico were ancestred cultures 2:of the more bigger were the Mayan in Yucatan and Quintanna Roo states and Aztecs in the center of mexico, the video are the aztecs and the dance. It call fire’s dance.
yes. more or less. in the olden days it would have been spoken in nahuatl. and the whole of that people would have numbered many. and one would see much glory and much sacrifice. in todays world when i give a poor man a few dollars i give him life. even for a few moments. a piece of my time. my lifeblood which i will never get back. some give all. god bless are warriors in america. god bless the american tribe. after all there is a balance in life. may you find your place in the hoop. by the way for those who my be interested. my real name is ignacio flores esquivel so what. what have i done for others in my life. we are all brothers and sisters. i hope you find what you seek and be content.
