I had the exact one like this in 2000, over 23 years ago. Same color. Only difference was it had a black cover over the silencer which had "EXUP" embossed.
i had the same bike for 3 years in dark blue and black special ,, gold rims back in that day and LOVED it !!!
I have a 3LN1 & I strongly agree .
Looks fabulous. I just bought a 1991 that I am about to start restoring. This will be a bottom up rebuild and hopefully she'll look almost as good as yours. Great looking bike and sounds fantastic. Nice backdrop too.

Lucas Chozas black & silver 1989 3LN1 sounds quite bad compared to yours . Mine is black with custom blue graphics . Mine has higher KMs but has been lovingly restored to full health . She is a joy to ride . I have done track days on her twice a year with a private group booking at Eastern Creek .

@@animationcycles7109 I have done a side by side test at the track on an example & the fuel maps on the new ZX25R don't suit the Akrapovic Exhaust .The new Kawasaki doesn't sound clean at high RPM (it sputters) & the build quality is inferior to the models of the late 1980's & early 1990's . They are not built in Japan .
Where to get parts for?
I want one! I have a 2020 R3, and would love one of these retro 250cc In-line 4’s to cruise around town on. I wonder how complicated an engine swap would be to a modern R3.

Absolutely not. An R3, is not in any way, form, or fashion in same league, as these bikes. Not being mean, or an asshat. These are True hornet in bottle, racebikes. Expensive "jewels" I love the R3. but this is a different class of bike. You can't mix n match this.

@@animationcycles7109 R3's are basically aspirational "MAGPIES" in an engine (sound wise) . They are fairly tame learner motorcycles . They have slightly more torque compared to the 3LN1& it's siblings due to their longer piston stroke , but they have a slightly longer wheelbase . The seat is slightly higher from the ground & they are less nimble & flickable on turns than the 250cc inline fours of the 80's & early 90's . Especially at the track which is what they (the fours) are inspired by . They are the same as track motorcycles but watered down slightly performance wise to operate on 91 octane pump fuel .

People near me still keep making a fuss about the Honda MC22'S . They are easiest to find out of this category of motorcycles in Australia . There are a lot more aftermarket parts for them too .
