Cronise vocals are awesome here, totally on point with High Country album especially Dreamthieves, even better than the Greetings From live album vocals, which I love anyways. Excellent set as always from one of the best bands around.
I feel like they could just pull the trigger and go big time, big production, all that.. but it's obvious they have no interest. They're doing what feels right to them. Do the world a service and stay the path. On the other hand I really wish everyone knew about you and how enjoyably immersive your music is. Especially when I'm drunk, stoned or both.
its a crowded market its harder for bands to stand out bands are realistic these days as long as they are gigging and selling x amount of records they are happy
It's a shame a band like this is playing such a small venue if this were a different Era these guys would be headliners in arenas unfortunately we live in a anti metal and rock Era because of marxism
i dont get it. whats with this singer? why cant he sing live? it just sounds awful . ive seen them 4 times touring high country. just saw them last night in brooklyn with clutch.i keep telling myself this time will be different. the same terrible deafening live vox. the albums are great. the live act singing is ruining it for me. this band will continue opening up for lucero unless they address this issue
Yeah, Cronise is pretty terrible live. Haven't got the chance to see them yet, but that's a big reason I'm not gonna drop a lot of money to do so. Which sucks, because their studio work is just incredible!
Well it's mostly due to them Playing in a higher tuning (E flat) instead of C standard which is a pretty low tuning that everything up to Apocryphon used. High Country was recorded in E flat which is what they stick to live which forces him to sing higher for all the older material so it might be a bit out of his vocal range and also the vocals are mixed differently depending on the venue which also contributes to it somewhat but I understand where your coming from.
i think actually his voice is not too bad when it comes to this video, but ive also seen worse. i dont know how it is live because ive never seen them, but i think i would go to a concert nonetheless for the awesome instrumental work
Can confirm The Sword is a real rock band. In every goddamn definition of the word. These dudes fucking rock.
