Kenny, thanks for watching and taking the time to check in! Hope all is well up there! Working on a few new videos at the moment so hopefully I'll have another one out soon.
Nice job on the wiring loom. Made my own loom for me own Super Dexta, they are a very simple circuit. That standard Dexta is running great, no hunting at low revs. Well done. Keep up the good work :-)
Thanks! Always good to get feedback from other dexta owners to see if I'm going in the right direction. The super is a lovely tractor, a lot more practical than the standard. Thanks for watching 👍
Calvin, thanks for watching and checking in! I'll bring another video on it again soon. The hydraulics currently don't work so I'll open up the back end again. Best of luck with your dexta! If you need any help with it you know where to find me!
Thanks! You'd expect to see a TW-30 or something coming with that beacon, but they made them a legal requirement on tractors here a few years back. Should really fit one on the other side too! Thanks for watching.
Great job Dave! That wiring looks awesome! I really like the videos on this tractor, looking foreword to seeing it running and working. Thanks for posting I’m always happy to see a video posted by you
13:03 They do make PTFE tape that's specifically rated for use with fuel systems, just a little harder to find. Like you said in the video though, shouldn't be an issue either way in this instance.
Nice work with the wiring loom 👌👌 you should make some up and sell them I'd definitely buy one 😉 I will have to take my starter off and clean it as I'm jiggling the lever to get her swinging over
Thanks! I was running low on cable so its a bit over sized! I've made better! Definitely worth pulling the starter and cleaning, especially in the gaps in the commutator ring. Just watch the dust that comes out of it, I wouldnt be going out of my way to breath it in! Clean all your connections well too, takes very little to effect performance. Thanks for watching!
@@mickeyvfr98 good stuff! Its amazing how a small amount of dirt or corrosion can impact starting. It would be worth going through your leads and solinoid as well. I've had starting issues with the 6610 as well and part of the solinoid melted Friday morning so must go through it all again. Thanks for letting me know! New video shortly.
Hi Dave, great job, where did you get the kit that feeds the heater plug from, my 990 has the same heater plug and I was thinking of cutting the feed lines to insert a T and pipe to the heater but your kit looks a much better solution. thanks in advance Barry
Thanks David! The copper plus all the fittings come in the kit from Old 20. The only piece I had to reuse was the return line fitting off the first injector. Well worth getting the flexible conduit and heat shrink for the loom, makes it robust and neat. Thanks for watching!
I'm based in County Cork in southern Ireland. Where are you? What you need is the kit from old 20 spares, or equivalent from a local supplier. Thanks for watching!
Michael, should have the valve for the quick hitch, and possibly a bucket this week. Planning to try digging some holes! I also want to fix the hinges and refit the door and make her weather tight for the winter. Haven't got near the Rover since. It's being used as a cat bed in the garage at the moment. Trying to prioritise a few other projects before winter really hits. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. I bought thee same heater kit. How much diesel does a dexta deliver on the return line? I got it installed, only no diesel trough the system..
I'm not sure to be honest. Did you fill the system when you first installed it? It needs to be filled with diesel and bled through. Ill take a look at mine and let you know. Thanks for watching 👍
@@thomvanveen16 just disconnect the line on top of the little reservoir and fill it with a syringe, loosen the connection at the plug to allow air and a little diesel out. Good luck 🙂👍
John, I havent tested it yet as I wanted to run it a bit first and make sure that there was diesel reaching the plug. Plus the temperature has been unseasonably high here so I'll have to wait a bit for cold. Ill keep you posted. The other work has really helped it though.
Hi Dave I have a 58 Dexta like that which is also a bitch to start. Where abouts do you source your parts im from Ireland too and I'm new to mechanical stuff I'd like to try and get it running right myself as well.
I bought that cold start kit online from old 20 parts. Everything else comes from Clifford's tractor parts in Kerry. I think I might have fried the heater plug since as its blowing fuses. I'm going to change the starter as I think its just too slow. A good fast crank is always the best job. Since I put the geared starter on the 6610 it fires first time.
Michael, it was a bit of a learning curve with the early stuff. I've invested a lot more in cameras etc since, and will continue to do so to improve the quality. Thanks for watching and providing feedback 👍🙂
Newbie from SW Scotland saw your dexta startup, my kind of approach spot on keep them coming, Kenny

Nice work! Thank you I learned alot about my 1959 dexta. I just brought her home the other day. Hello from Wisconsin USA.

Very neat wiring - thumbs up from here. I need to do that to my old Massey Ferguson... One more thing for the list... One day...
Thanks Adam. I think its worth taking the time to do it. It relatively cheap to do and it makes a big difference to have it done right.
Good job Dave, that Yellow worklight is just gold :D

Good to know! I must get some for a few jobs I've got coming up. Thanks for the tip and for watching 🙂👍
It sure looks like you aren't going to run out of projects any time soon.
Take care Dave
Good to hear from you Clinton, hope all is well in Kentucky! Yes, plenty to do here! Though its the Detroit I'm looking forward to the most!

MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
another score on the maintenance end, get that hood fixed up and it will be an excellent workhorse
Ken, thanks again for watching, I'll get on it 👍
At exactly 28:00 a foreign object blew out of the diesel pump and the misfire ceased.....
😅😅😅

Barry, I got it from Old 20 spares in the UK. Thanks again for watching 👍
Hi Dave, Thanks for your helpful video. Wondering where you got the unit you put on the tank for the fuel lines?
Shes coming along nicely Dave, sounds good.does the roll of copper pipe and fittings come with the updated cold start kit ?. I like the wiring loom 👍
