    Until you switched to the set-up screen I did not realise it was not real dials. It is so clear. Stunning, I understand why it is such a game changer for you.

    Wow, this is nice. I am a 100% VR simmer but if I flew 2D would definitely get this.

    Thanks for sharing. These kinds of physical instrument panels setup with pass through on a decent VR headset will be great for realism and ease of use.

    Real nice piece of kit, as I been watching the Devs progress and doing this with seperate dials is really useful when flying GA aircraft and Helicopters. but its pricey. I've done the same using air manager software and extra screen/ tablet.
    But it's nice to see this pack of screens in action.

    So basically a cutout over air manager.. HMM! I've been using airmanager for a few years and it helps with training for sure. I use a touchscreen, iPad and arduino Nano dial. I'm able to add any other type of instrument or panel when needed to train in different planes. If you're 100% a 172 pilot or similar this could work. I've posted a few clips of my setup on my UA-cam channel.

    Hi.
    Thank you for the video and tips. Yes, I've had the privilege of speaking with the owner, as well. Great person and very knowledgeable.
    Have you seen the full entire panel (sorry, can't think of the correct name -- Gen 2, perhaps?) Nonetheless, quite honestly, looks as if they took one out of the Cessna, scaled it a down a bit and then went from there. I mean this thing has it all !!!
    If you have, which one would you recommend?
    Thank you.
    Have a great and safe day.

    Secondly, before taking the plunge on this hardware, one must compare the cost to Air Manager + a Knobster. The clarity of AM instruments is the same as these, and the size of AM instruments is infinitely variable, limited only by the size of the monitor. AM is way, way more versatile than this Six Pack Plus and much less expensive. To each his own, but to me the choice is clear.

    Just a tip from an IRL pilot, when you're this close to the airport, you shouldn't use such a big intercept angle. ~60 degrees is excessive.

    • @OverkillSimulations
      @OverkillSimulations 7 місяців тому

      Noted! Can I ask what the usual traffic pattern altitude is?

    • @FlyingAce63
      @FlyingAce63 7 місяців тому

      @@OverkillSimulations, I'm not sure what your question has to do with localizer intercept angle, so I wonder why you're asking it. Perhaps, you're trying to verify if I'm being truthful about me being an IRL pilot, and you're testing my piloting knowledge. In any case, to answer your question, in VFR, the traffic pattern altitude is usually 1000 feet above airport elevation, unless otherwise specified in the appropriate publication depending on which country you're in. In IFR, if not landing on the runway for which you're flying the ILS on, then you would use the published circling altitude on the IFR chart. Again, not sure what the relevance of your question is, but here it is.

    I hope these developers soon realize that the state of the economy determines what people spend their money on. The prices for these game products is ridiculous. People are struggling to feed their families and these greedy developers expect people to buy products for hundreds of dollars for a game. When inflation comes back down, I hope these companies realize they will have to reduce their prices if they want to make money. The smart money waits for lower prices to spend on something that has almost no importance and won't interfere with their ability to pay the bills.

      People that buy these kinds of products normally don’t have issues “feeding the family”. This isn’t really that expensive considering what you get. This would work great for practicing for a RL Instrument rating .

    • @nigelnewby5028
      @nigelnewby5028 7 місяців тому +1

      Err, if you are in the USA you're inflation rate is already bloody good compared to most western nations. Many families are struggling and I feel for them, been there myself.
